Yes you sure are, you fake news sucker!   Meanwhile back in rhe real world your supposed champion of freedom Putin just transferred his most vocal critic (whom he previously tried to poison) to a penal colony in the arctic circle. His crime was daring to run for election a few years ago.

@Nationalist

And now while at his arctic gulag he’s unexpectedly and inexplicably suddenly dropped dead at the ripe old age of 47. To be fair in Putin’s shithole country where most people don’t live past 65, 47 is basically a senior citizen. But  considering he appeared happy and healthy just yesterday while at his latest televised kangaroo Kourt hearing Russia’s claim that he suddenly just got sick and died out of the blue while out for a walk is obviously complete BS.   OBVIOUSLY he was killed in the lead-up to Putin’s next sham election next month

Obviously. And? Why is that such a big concern to you? Do you live in Russia?

Why should i move to Russia just because i have a different opinion opposite to yours? Maybe North America will be better off if you went and lived in communist China. In communist China there is only one opinion allowed? The communist China government opinion. Maybe you are not all in on freedom of speech for everyone, but i am all in for freedom of speech for everyone. Even for communists, like maybe you? Just wondering.

I have never been on any kinds of meds. But with you, that I am not really sure about. ?

Are you knocking Russia‘s friend China there? Russia and China are allies in this war. Indeed, Russia is well on its way to becoming a Chinese satellite like North Korea. All three regimes hate liberty.

There is something wrong with the title of this thread. Is the Russian army really collapsing?

Yeah, whenever I want a good laugh I look up this thread.

The truth is, Russia collapsed over 30 years ago.  Job done, foe vanquished, danger to the free world averted.  Brought to you by Ronald Reagan, an actor that became a politician late in life.  Weird how a non politician could figure out Russia, eh?

But something went quite wrong, obviously.  Russia wasn’t exactly welcomed into the family, were they?  With all of the billions(180 billion by the US alone) sent into Ukraine now, helping Russia back then could have averted the disaster that we have now.

Even if Ukraine had kept its nuclear weapons Putin wouldn’t have dared attack.  Ukraine was disarmed by the West, and Russia was allowed to twist in the wind, the perfect climate for a dictator like Putin to arise.

Now we have the globe fearing nuclear war.  Nice job, NATO and UN, way to go.

The West did not abandon Russia. Many western countries set up shop in Russia providing employment for hundreds of thousands working in their factories or businesses. They also became customers for Russia's resourses  Russia became a mob driven kleptocracy on its own, it has never been a democracy in its long history and doesn't know how. Strong men are what Russians know and prefer, be it a Czar, General/First Secretary or a dictator like Putin.

Is that what google told you?  The point is, whatever it was that was done, it didn’t work at all, did it?  That’s just the plain reality.

Hundreds of western factories set up shop in Russia including major car makers. Finish companies alone had 500 production facilities in Russia. The Nokian tires on my car were manufactured in Russia. Since Putin invaded they are doing their best to get out of Russia. VW, Toyota, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Renault, Hyundai, Skoda all shut down their production facilities in Russia. After 32 years, MacDonalds bailed on Russia at a cost of 1.2 to 1.4 billion. Let's face it, anything made in Russia worth owning was built in a western owned plant.

That's reality my friend.

Not because of the West. Russians were better off for all the Western companies that set up shop there. Do you think they are better off since Putin and his gang of kleptocrat oligarchs started robbing their people blind and invading their neighbours?

The strategy that the West used was wrong. If you would simply look at the result and then think critically about it.  Why was West Germany and Japan’s rebuilds so successful after WWII?  Why did the strategy employed in Russia fail?  Were they the same strategy?

Putin is the result of a failed Western effort.

Yeah, the effort was probably too woke. Maybe if the West had lobbied Moscow to set up by shop in Russia's gulags we would have been more successful.

Like Canadian mining companies that are said to 'employ' Uyghurs in China's re-education camps.

I do not mock Russia because there is no reason to do so. But i do like to mock communist China though. Israel and America are allies in the war with the Palestinians, where to date, 27,000 innocent Palestinians have been slaughtered by those two supposedly peaceful countries. What a laugh. The regimes that hate liberty, freedom and democracy the most these days are Israel, America and China. Just my opinion of course. 😇

Putin is the result of Russians having no experience with democracy. Many of them yearn for the return of the Soviet Union. Do you think there should have been a Marshal Plan for Russia? Do you think Russia should have had a US military government for several years after the end of the Cold War? There was no Western effort other than Russia being able to access and take advantage of western expertise and capital investment.

Russians put Putin in power, no one else.

The point is, Russia collapsed, which is the point of this thread.  Russia collapsed.  We had them.  How did they manage to become a global thread when we had them, smart guy?  Or are you too busy with your crab pots to think about it?

Sir, why is it wrong to be friends with the Russians. Why do you hate Russia and love Israel? Are you motivated by race?
Please explain why you feel so superior?
