Long wait times due to short staffs - and now, our government is actually inviting US abortion seekers to come to Canada! To jump the line? Everything we see on the news is bad news as far as Canada is concerned. It's unbelievable how fast this country is going down the drain! The purpose for the "Liberal" party's choice of favoring external groups is actually one of their Right-wing ideas: to save their beloved power of being able to make religious laws. When the catholic church is faultering as it is, the traditional Candian 'Anglicah loyalists' and '(Old) French-Roman Catholics' are dimishing as people become more doubtful of religion in general. "My holy ghost is bigger than yours!" will be the means of measuring whether one god is 'true' and ALL the others "false". The default irrationality of the anti-abortionists is their hypocrisy on other issues that they seem to share in common but that proves they are false flags for such blatant inconsistencies. Gun ownership should be encouraged to free the independently minded nature of EACH of us yet we need stricter laws to prevent independent people to CHOOSE whether to keep unwanted children? Why have more children just so that your independent gun-totting extremists children can grow up to have some targets to shoot at rather than their own? Nobody in politics in Canada is even discussing abortion here in Canada, abortion in Canada is not being threatened by any means. And we are not forcing women to breed like it was some puppy mill, it would be nice to be able to discuss the topic, but it seems to be off-limits, if you are not a woman, perhaps we could talk about using abortion as a birth control measure and forcing people to rethink their responsibilities when having sex. when people are too damn lazy to use the thousands of birth control measures already on the market. And yes it is concerning that there might be a flood of people coming into Canada for medical procedures when our medical system is already stressed to the breaking point. My ex had a couple, back when she was a young divorced single Mom and basic med didn't cover birth control. When she got a union job she got an IUD, PITA that was while she had it. Then we had 2 kids after we were married, like you're supposed to. Those are the women needing the choice. But rail about it all you want, that's the only right you have. The decision's up to the woman and her doctor. No skin off my nose or yours. 1- You're right it's not happening here. Thank God we're Canucks looking at the shitshow down south. 2- It IS a provincial decision but no province can deny it or make laws restricting it.
