Ruth Bader Ginsburg Dies at 87

Things should get interesting now.

The Republicans are going to want to get the next Supreme Court Justice nominated and sped through Senate before the election, Just in case. The Wahhhhhh of Democrats will be heard at an even higher frequency right up into November and beyond.

One would expect it to go something like that anyway.

Whatever...

RBG is dead.

This is a big one. It's for control of the Supreme Court.

Ted Cruz made a good point as to why they should get a new Supreme in there quick:

Quote

“Democrats and Joe Biden have made clear they intend to challenge this election. They intend to fight the legitimacy of the election. As you know Hillary Clinton has told Joe Biden ‘under no circumstances should you concede, you should challenge this election.’ and we cannot have election day come and go with a 4-4 court.”

Cruz continued, “A 4-4 court that is equally divided cannot decide anything. And I think we risk a constitutional crisis if we do not have a nine-justice Supreme Court, particularly when there is such a risk of … a contested election.”

And this is worth remembering:

Three Supreme Court Justices Were Confirmed In Less Than 45 Days, Including Ginsburg

Yeah, yeah.  As long as whoever he nominates is competent and fair, and not someone kind of loonytune who believes that demons sleep with people to create more demons, like the doctor he champions.

Relax....it's not like he is going to ask for your approval anyway.

U.S. Supreme Court justice nominations were politicized long before Trump became president.

No big loss with her gone. She was just a thorn in Trump's side anyway. Now Trump can get another conservative on the Supreme Court. It's beginning to look like the democrats are going to be up shits creek after the election. With Trump in control of the house, the senate, and the SC there is going to be a lot of crybaby leftist liberal/democrat losers out there standing around in their puddle of tears. Aw, too bad, so sad. LOL.

It'll be interesting what polling says about this.

The GOP can confirm this nominee and they likely will (unless Romney and Grassly bail).

But if that level of overt hypocrisy causes Trump to lose the White House and the GOP to lose the Senate they GOP will be royally bleeped.

The Democrats will expand the court and could even give DC and Puerto Rico Senators. Which would decimate the GOP for generations.

The U.S. Constitution doesn't include polling.

RBG insisted on staying beyond her best before date when Obama could have nominated another liberal justice.

The GOP picked up two seats in the Senate (2018 mid-terms)...with Trump as prez.

Well Obama tried to nominate a justice. McConnel refused to have a hearing.

Hypocrisy is the order of the day. And how does that effect the election.

Because the GOP don't seem to be able to get elected based on repealing Roe v Wade and the ACA. Which is how this should be framed by every single Democrat.

Remember those Bernie Bros that were going to sit at home? Not anymore.

RBG refused to retire....big ego...long before Obama's last year in office.

Democrats screwed themselves in the Seante with a simple majority vote.

What part of the GOP gaining two Senate seats in 2018 do you not understand ?

Would you have said that about Scalia not quitting during the Bush administration?

And they stand to lose several in 2020.
