Infidel Dog
Things should get interesting now. The Republicans are going to want to get the next Supreme Court Justice nominated and sped through Senate before the election, Just in case. The Wahhhhhh of Democrats will be heard at an even higher frequency right up into November and beyond. One would expect it to go something like that anyway. Whatever... RBG is dead. This is a big one. It's for control of the Supreme Court. Edited September 19, 2020 by Infidel Dog
bush_cheney2004
Obama wanted RBG to retire while he was president and the Democrats controlled the Senate, so he could appoint a liberal justice. That didn't happen...Obama got RBG'd. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

bush_cheney2004
Any nominee process still has to go through the Senate, which is very politicized now. At best, the Democrats could only replace RBG with a like minded liberal, and hope that Justice Thomas retires soon. Quote Economics trumps Virtue. Infidel Dog
Ted Cruz made a good point as to why they should get a new Supreme in there quick: Quote “Democrats and Joe Biden have made clear they intend to challenge this election. They intend to fight the legitimacy of the election. As you know Hillary Clinton has told Joe Biden ‘under no circumstances should you concede, you should challenge this election.’ and we cannot have election day come and go with a 4-4 court.” Cruz continued, “A 4-4 court that is equally divided cannot decide anything. And I think we risk a constitutional crisis if we do not have a nine-justice Supreme Court, particularly when there is such a risk of … a contested election.” https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/matt-margolis/2020/09/18/ted-cruz-explains-perfectly-why-rbgs-seat-must-be-filled-before-the-election-n944445 And this is worth remembering: Three Supreme Court Justices Were Confirmed In Less Than 45 Days, Including Ginsburg Edited September 19, 2020 by Infidel Dog

This is a big one. It's for control of the Supreme Court. No big loss with her gone. She was just a thorn in Trump's side anyway. Now Trump can get another conservative on the Supreme Court. It's beginning to look like the democrats are going to be up shits creek after the election. With Trump in control of the house, the senate, and the SC there is going to be a lot of crybaby leftist liberal/democrat losers out there standing around in their puddle of tears. Boges
It'll be interesting what polling says about this. The GOP can confirm this nominee and they likely will (unless Romney and Grassly bail). But if that level of overt hypocrisy causes Trump to lose the White House and the GOP to lose the Senate they GOP will be royally bleeped. The Democrats will expand the court and could even give DC and Puerto Rico Senators. Which would decimate the GOP for generations.
