  1. The bottom line is,progressives see absolutely nothing wrong with these Liberal "mole hills" because we are talking about the Liberals after all. The Ottawa Citizen buried this in the back pages, unlike the front page negative headlines they always printed for the Conservatives.Just saying...
  2. Can you name the reasons why we should re-elect them?On occasion she gives us back nickels here and there, but she and her gang are really hosing taxpayers big time overall.
  3. Huge planes fully laden with fuel crashing into the buildings ,the planes piloted by radical Islamist's.What else is there?
  4. When this question get's asked,I think of the Khadr and Shafia families who brought their poisonous attitudes here so I say yes,we should screen them. Why not try and weed out people like this?
  5. I don't think has much to worry about,I think she has a very good shot at another majority next time around. All the scandals haven't really ever hurt the Liberals on election day before.
  6. Are you saying that most of the energy produced by large scale wind farms and solar panels is currently stored in batteries?I know you're talking about small home installations, but what about the bigger operations?I was under the impression that most of the small amounts of energy from wind and solar(not homes) does not always get produced as we need it and Ontario often sells this energy at a net loss.
  7. The problem with so called renewables is that they CANNOT produce energy on demand at this time.Or have I missed something? I'm not saying there is no role for solar or wind turbines at all,but we can't completely depend on them for all of our needs.
  8. So I take it that eyeball or jacee would not, under any circumstances, call the police for help? There are apparently other victims in the coffee shop,or is that irrelevant to you?
  9. Looking at the IESO website this evening,I see wind turbines are producing 1330 MW out of a total capacity of 4361 MW.That's only 30%,not very good is it?I'll try and check this site more often to see if the output on any given day approaches anywhere near 4361 MW. http://www.ieso.ca/ http://canwea.ca/wind-energy/ontario/ The term renewable is very misleading,I think intermittent energy is more accurate. http://www.windontario.ca/
  10. I think it has a lot to do with Kathleen Wynne's massive ego.If I was in Toronto,I wouldn't want the games.Lot's of big shots got paid very well for the Pan Am games, despite cost overruns.Yes they kept raising their estimates,so there were overruns.Too much cheating in sports these days as well.
  11. Harper sure did make some awful appointments to be sure. But there are a lot of rotten apples in the Senate. It's just that the Conservative one's get most of the attention from the media. And the fact that the charges were dropped against most of them isn't really saying they're all squeaky clean. It seems pretty clear that a lot of Senators abuse the spirit of (the very few and ambiguous) rules.I am very cynical about this, but the rules are like that for a reason.
  12. I think there are many factors in why these attacks keep happening. One big reason is the hatred of everything Western democracies stand for by Islamic radicals. And I think they have a fair bit of support among Muslims world wide.Which leaders will tell it like it is?Who will stay politically correct and denounce Islamophobia as the problem?
  13. What is the fastest charge time for any electric car currently on the market?I read a lot about Tesla, but also that they have reliability issues too.
  14. I think it's more about anti-rape sentiment than anti-immigrant.But according to the article in the first post,it appears that there is a rather strong connection to who is actually committing these terrible attacks. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck......
  15. I think the Ontario Liberals are pretty corrupt but as they have a very cozy relationship with the OPP they seem to be largely immune from serious charges. They do what it takes to get elected in this province, which means rewarding our massive Public Service. The unions campaign for the Liberals and they get rewarded in the end.The Liberals do not govern for the benefit of all people in Ontario.
  16. There will be more electric cars on the road as time goes by,but that also means there will be much more demand for electricity.Wind turbines and solar panels cannot produce energy on demand so the question is,what will produce all that electricity?More nuclear?Coal? There is still the problem of charging time too.
  17. Yes,a religious conservative with ties to what faith?
  18. Anyone that believes that is truly nuts quite frankly.Where would you rather live?
  19. People tend to go on and on about how many Palestinians get killed versus the number of Israelis but the fact is,the Palestinian leaders are quite pleased with this disparity. Why do you think rockets are launched from among civilians? This is what allows them to win the propaganda war. I hate to see innocents die on either side of this never ending battle.
  20. If you have a gun and someone is coming at you with a club,do you throw away your gun and look for a club? There would be thousands upon thousands of Palestinian lives saved if they truly wanted peace with Israel, but they don't.
  21. I personally care a lot about the only true democracy in the middle east.I think the West should stand by Israel.
  22. Yes Trudeau's popularity is quite high now and I expect it will remain so regardless of how things go for Canada's economy.I think I know where we are headed though, given the fact that Trudeau has some of the same advisers that McGuinty/Wynne had.Now how well did that work out for Ontario?
  23. Argus, you are correct on every point you made.I wish it weren't so and that more Canadians would wake up and see that this path is unsustainable.
  24. There actually was a time when Ontario was described as the engine of Canada's economy or something like that.Ontario has, without a doubt fallen far from those great days. And much of the blame for that downfall can be placed on McGuinty/Wynne and their monumentally idiotic Green Energy Act. I cannot believe how foolish and costly this plan will be......and the worst part may be that Wynne will likely get another majority next election. This will do a lot of damage to Ontario and Canada as a whole. And emissions don't go down if businesses simply move elsewhere.
