As bad a President that Bernie Sanders could be for Americans and their entire economy, it should also be very worrisome about who is close to him and who is whispering in his ear. AOC,Rashida Talib,Ilhan Omar. Both radical and dangerous. In politics I believe voters often have to choose the lesser of two evils and that's why I hope Trump get's a resounding victory in 2020. For all his faults he's a much safer choice than the current front runner for the Democrats.

We know the Russians, through different means, have funnelled millions of dollars to the Clintons over the years(Clinton Foundation,Bill's speeches etc). Can anyone put a dollar figure on how much Donald Trump supposedly received from the Russians. Remember that Trump has been very wealthy for a long time, way before jumping into politics. The Clintons became fabulously wealthy only during their time at the White House and the period when they had enormous influence in Washington. What does that suggest to you?

Personally I don't buy the idea that Putin and the Russians prefer Trump in the White House. If you look at the overall picture from Putin's perspective, the Russians are much better off with the Democrats, especially if you consider who the Democratic front runners have been. I'm thinking of Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Bernie Sanders in the present. A lot of money came from the Russians to the Clinton Foundation up until the time she lost the election to Trump. Not surprisingly, the contributions dropped off significantly after November 2016. It sure looks like "pay to play" doesn't it? Clearly the evidence suggests the Russians were hoping to get Hillary to the White House. https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/clinton-foundation-donations/ https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6432065/Clinton-Foundations-income-plummeted-Hillary-lost-2016-election.html As for the current front runner Bernie Sanders, how could the Russians not possibly be thrilled at the prospect of this socialist crackpot being President? Bernie's admiration for Communist dictatorships has been well known for many years now. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/bernie-sanders-praised-communist-cuba-and-the-soviet-union-in-the-1980s This Putin/Trump conspiracy is nonsense.

Why did it fail in Ontario with all the massive spending during the McGuinty/Wynne years? Take note that Trudeau has the same advisors pulling his strings.

This is what the Left in Canada has been reduced to
ironstone replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Right wingers/conservatives overwhelmingly believe you have an absolute right to your opinion and to express it. The same cannot be said of most left-wingers. Maybe you're one of those that believe the world will end in 10-12 years,or that there are dozens or hundreds of different genders or gender pronouns. It's nonsense but I firmly believe in your right to have your far-out opinions. -
This is what the Left in Canada has been reduced to
ironstone replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It seems to me that there are far more nutjobs on the left than on the right. It is primarily leftists that are opposed to free speech, which means any and all opposing views. ANTIFA is a leftist group and a perfect example of their sick mindset. -
Prediction: Trudeau wins a majority this Fall
ironstone replied to QuebecOverCanada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I think the facts will show that an enormous amount of money has flowed out of Alberta over past decades, mostly to the benefit of Quebec. Why wouldn't Albertans be frustrated with this? Where would we be in this country without the contributions from the oil and gas sector? https://edmontonjournal.com/opinion/columnists/gary-lamphier-how-much-money-has-flowed-out-of-alberta-to-ottawa-a-lot -
I'm all for shutting down the Human Rights Commissions completely. I suggest Ezra Levant's book Shakedown, a good read. HRC's have little to do with human rights and everything about pushing idiotic political correctness down our throats.

Prediction: Trudeau wins a majority this Fall
ironstone replied to QuebecOverCanada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Quebecers ALWAYS vote for their own self interest and little else. How much can they keep getting from the rest of Canada? Lot's and lot's. I think Trudeau get's another majority thanks to the hypocrisy of progressive voters and naïve young Canadians. -
Trudeau is now revealed a racist too?
ironstone replied to QuebecOverCanada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I just checked my Liberal MP's website and clicked on the Justin Trudeau link at the top. JUSTIN TRUDEAU! TEACHER...FATHER...ADVOCATE...LEADER! He's sitting with what appears to be a "family of colour"(progressive-speak). At least Trudeau had the sense to leave the blackface paint at home. Seriously, what do these photos say about this man's judgement other than it's pretty bad? This reinforces my opinion that he's just a grown up spoiled brat and has always been used to getting his own way. He constantly repeats that diversity is our strength but he does not tolerate diversity of opinion. So far I think he'll survive the scandal easily but he'll have to use his corny acting ability to the max.I just listened to a few minutes of callers to CBC Radio and it seems most Liberal supporters are ok with Trudeau's blackface habit. -

ironstone replied to QuebecOverCanada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Even with a third photo surfacing of Trudeau's blackface routine, I have no doubt he will survive this and still win the election. Can anyone deny, even his most ardent fans, that Justin Trudeau brings hypocrisy to a whole new level? -
Prediction: Trudeau wins a majority this Fall
ironstone replied to QuebecOverCanada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No matter what the polls say one way or the other, I will get my ass out and cast my vote. I think Trudeau will still get a majority, the NDP might spiral into the toilet with many of their supporters going Green. Watch the mainstream media go into full attack mode against the Conservatives... on second thought, that's pretty much a constant thing anyway. -
Of all the gun crimes committed in Canada during a typical year, how many said crimes are committed by legal gun owners? How many are committed by gang members?

Trumps so called racist tweets
ironstone replied to taxme's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Trump's racist tweets? How about Ilhan Omar? She is openly bigoted, the mainstream media gives her a pass. Take a good look at the future of the Democratic Party. I almost forgot about the Democrat's version of the brown shirts,Antifa. "America, love it or leave it" has been around a long time. Blunt perhaps, but not racist. Basically what Trump was saying. -
US Sanctions - Economic Terrorism
ironstone replied to basilone_john's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I think the Government of Iran certainly knows quite a lot about using real violence and intimidation against citizens, particularly against it's own people. Economic sanctions pale in comparison. Iran won't change it's ways anytime soon, that much is obvious. They are hoping the Democrats will win in 2020 and implement their much friendlier policies with the Islamic dictatorships in the Middle East. -
Why doesn't AOC clearly state what exactly is going to happen to the world in 12 years if she doesn't get her way? If she makes a drastic statement like that, she certainly owes it to us to explain, in great detail, what's going to happen. I'm kind of worried about the Greens making gains in Canada. They are basically a one issue party. Too much way too soon. It is somewhat helpful that the left/far left vote get's split up more than the right of centre vote.

Native inquiry an orgy of progressive guilt-mongering
ironstone replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This report is just an extremely long way to demand ever increasing amounts of money. Using the word genocide is insulting. No doubt natives have suffered at the hands of others in the past but will there ever be a time when anyone in their ranks will stand up and say it's about time to stop continually blaming others for all their ills and start taking responsibility for their own lives. Why not make an effort to stop the cycle of dependency on tax dollars. https://www.fraserinstitute.org/article/taxpayers-are-generous-first-nations https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/federal-budget-includes-5-billion-in-new-spending-on-indigenous-affairs https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/mark-milke/first-nations-and-taxpayers_b_4455894.html -
List of Trump Presidency Failures
ironstone replied to Neil Austen's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It's pretty sad that there is so much hatred for Trump. It's not merely disliking the man,it is flat-out hatred. He's certainly not politically correct and frankly I find that refreshing. The US economy is humming along very nicely with better rates of growth than Obama had. It is truly remarkable that he was able to win the presidency(fair and square) in spite of relentless attacks by the mainstream media. -

I think there are some aspects of the job that he absolutely loves, like being in front of adoring fans, the chance to show off his "acting" skills, taking softball questions from the paparazzi . It's obvious that he's very weak on actual policy and he relies largely on those that helped run Ontario into the ground for advice. He should still be considered the favourite to win the next election but I think he will lose a few seats overall. Trudeau will get largely positive coverage from his median minions since most of them will soon be supported by our tax dollars.

Best performing province has an NDP government

The first thing you mentioned was the NDP environmental policy. https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/yes-anti-pipeline-vancouver-really-is-north-americas-largest-exporter-of-coal BC is really screwing over Alberta, big surprise. -
