The problem with conspiracy theories is that there is almost always the smallest shred of truth. Also, they can almost never be disproven. You can't disprove something that is fabricated. It is largely folks filling in the blanks. In the absence of video or audio (ray rice in the elevator) evidence, they fill in the blanks based on purely subjective probability. So you have two events but nothing definitively tying the two together.. you have to guess. The guess is based on subjectivity.

Well, if the courts of law would open their gates a bit.. the court of public opinion would follow. The court of public opinion sees the restrictive laws (wrongfully so, might I add) as a conspiracy against them. Like it or not... there are government employees who follow the law to the letter. I think that they need to open the doors just a bit and hopefully satiate some of these types that believe in a grand conspiracy against them.

I can see why Grants Pass would do this. First, they are trying to attract business to their small-ish town. They are also trying to attract the middle class family.. one that uses parks. I know.. I have one of these families. The parks in Reno-Sparks that have a high homeless population tend to be not well used and also are not the areas where new development pops up. The laws in Reno are pretty simple.. no camping in parks or overnight parking. So then what they do about the empty land along the river where there are no businesses but also no roads, no houses, and only sparse trails? Answer.. tolerate the homeless that are willing to endure the elements.

America Needs The Middle

I would agree with the OP but what should be is not the same as what is. -
An aspect of this that gets ignored is that to have your court case heard.. you have to prove it. Well to prove it.. you have to have the micro data. To get that micro level data, you have to have proof beforehand. A bit of a catch 22. By being so strict in their adherence to the law, they open things up for conspiracy theories (glorified filling in the blanks).

Using Paisley, OR as an example.. first, go find this on a map. It is very remote. So not likely to see your garden variety panhandler/drug addict. Small towns, especially out West, are not places of abundance. To be homeless and stay that way.. you need there to be excess resources of sorts.. extra food, extra space, extra whatever. However, places like Paisley OR have abundant open space in every direction. If you were to camp (which I have done).. a mile north of town, you are unlikely to see anybody let alone law enforcement.

Not sure why you are expecting so much from "User". Anyways, in the legal realm.. it comes down to whether the land is public or private. If it is private then the law clearly states that you can't do so without explicit permission. If it is public then it depends on who is the steward.. the city, county, state, BLM (Bureau of Land Mgmt, Forest Service, etc.). Each has their own policies. For federal land.. the law is 30 consecutive days except in the paid campgrounds. If you are on BLM land and you pull off onto a dirt road and there is no formal signage.. you can expect the 30 day rule. Some of it is a matter of enforcement. If the public land is in or near a city.. then rules will be enforced more strictly. If you are in Paisley, OR.. probably not so.

In my neck of the woods.. there has not been a history of nudity in the parade or at least nothing as blatant as toronto or seattle. As for downtown Reno... there is no wal-mart, costco, etc. It is casinos, bars, and restaurants. All of which can be entered from many different directions. only direction that you would see the gay pride parade is east. And its for six hours... pretty minimal stuff. Sept in Reno is pretty warm still.. highs of 92 or so.

Toronto is a much more populated place than my current city of residence. However, they already have printed materials for our pride parade which is just under 2 months away. Basically stating the time and place (6 blocks and from 10 am to 4 pm). In short, giving those who claim that they did not know.. little leverage. If you do not like it then simply avoid the area for 6 hours. In the six block area.. there is no business or service that you cant find elsewhere in town. To be realistic.. if you were dead set on visiting a business located on the parade route.. just go one block to the west.. easy solution.

This isn't about Joe. It's about America

Yes... the fact that we have two unfit candidates is the fault of the American voter. 165 million voters and a lot of very smart people and this is the best that we can do? Pretty pathetic honestly. -

Interesting stuff. I have started to considering upgrading my vehicle. An EV seems a solid choice considering my long daily commute but I keep reading stories like this and it gives me pause -

I was on the now defunct Amazon politics forum right after the 2016 election. The liberals started up on voting day with the Russian collusion story. to be clear, I never did buy into it. Back to the story.. one in particular (very similar to Robosmith) was absolutely convinced. When i would press him for actual evidence (video, audio, computer code, etc).. his reply was always that, "you just know.. you do not need such explicit proof". I am not wired that way. Gut instinct does not steer my ship when it comes to buying into things like this. Have yet to see anything conclusive enough. The best one (and I wish I would have saved it ) was a headline from some newspaper about how someone may have said something.

Gore initially refused to concede the election to Bush. They did a recount of the Florida results and after a recount, Bush was found to have won by a few hundred votes. Not quite as over the top as Trump's refusal but it laid the groundwork. https://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/al-gore-donald-trump-results-230062

one aspect to this is that it is remarkably difficult to get the evidence. To get the micro level data.. you have to have proof of the crime (fraud). Well, you need the micro data in order to prove the crime. Its a catch 22 of sorts. I understand why they do not open up the voter rolls on a whim and why the burden of proof is so high. However, maybe it is time to alter this a bit.

I do not buy into the narrative that she rose to the top by sleeping with the right guys. That being said, I have coworkers who have worked with her directly and apparently she is about as unpleasant as the onset of herpes. And these coworkers are fairly liberal so it is not a matter of ideological disconnect. Biden for all his lack of charisma and mental faculties seems like he would be fairly easy to work with. as an aside.. worked with a Democratic governor. That was a test of one's patience to say the least. We have deliverables that would go to him. Before publishing.. by law, we had to have his approval. Such a scatterbrain. Sometimes, it was a few hours and sometimes it was 6 to 8 weeks. Does not really do anything to publish a summary of June 2020 data in Mid August 2020.
