Of course, there is a correlation between energy costs and inflation. Mathematically, if you add a variable to the model.. the R-squared goes up. Hence, there will always be some correlation. The devil is in the details though. How much of the price increase of $1.00 (for example) can be DIRECTLY attributed to energy prices? Answer.. usually about 4 to 7%.

This is how Kamala could win.

Honestly, if Trump put the clamp on his verbal diarrhea.. he wins handily. By at least 150 Electoral votes... but not sure he can do that. -
as it stands now.. I can see Kamala Harris wining in CA, OR, WA, NV, NM, CO, MN, IL, MI, MA, MD, NY, VT, NH, NJ, DE and VA. This would put her at 229.. 51 short of the magical 280 number. I can see her losing Maine, Georgia, Arizona, Pennyslvania, Wisconsin, and Rhode Island where Biden won last time.

I wrote months ago that Biden simply not running would be the best case scenario. Now. that came with the caveat that he did so early on in the season and give another candidate time to put a full campaign together. As it stands now, Trump wins (which he would have against Biden as well) by at least 100 electoral votes. Kamala harris is an ok last minute choice but given time.. there are better candidates. If by miracle she wins.. it will be a dark day in our history. Only because we will have another "Stop the Steal" campaign/march/protest.

The poster that you are conversing with honestly thinks that involuntary incarceration would not only be sufficient but also necessary. It carries with no costs of course. The police work for free as do those in corrections. Their time is infinite.. Time spent policing homelessness does not carry with it any opportunity costs.
