And now we get your usual case of dementia. I have stated numerous times to you.. yes you that I do not watch CNN and have never really done so. You watch vastly more cable news than I do.. its not even close. Interesting idea on your part.. how someone is programmed by CNN but never watched it. How is this done? Almost like something out of a science fiction movie. https://abcnews.go.com/538/americans-hated-candidates-biden-trump/story?id=108655435

Vegas Odds on the 2024 Election
impartialobserver replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Hence, the need for a younger, more vibrant candidate. Let me give you a hint about modern Americans.. it matters more to them that their candidate wins than any thing that he/she has to say. Why do we Biden? Because folks think that he can win.. now as to what he will do after winning. Pffft... whatever. Yet another reason that I will vote third party yet again and have done so since 1996. -
#1... so in short.. you are seeking affirmation. Ok, understood. Can I challenge you to something... can you leave CNN out of your posts? Your one trick pony game wore thin on the second repetition let alone now on the 28,955th time. The reasons are unimportant.. the data shows that neither is really that popular. Gavin Newsom, while not exactly the best guy, would at least have some new ideas and some charisma.

Vegas Odds on the 2024 Election

Thanks for restating my points. Its really hard to get someone to pay attention (especially the younger generation) if you sound like you are nodding off after having a few too many drinks. It is pretty sad that with as great of a country that the US is.... that the two candidates for the highest office are this uninspiring. -
#2... this is purely a matter of opinion on your part. Spoiler Alert... this is where you do your usual ad hominem attacks and demeaning my intelligence all because I do not echo your sentiments word for word. BTW.. I vote third party (there are numerous instances of my saying this on this forum).. so that means that I do not vote for Biden nor Trump now or ever. as for point #1, numerous polls show that a majority or slightly under (depending on the poll and when it was done) of Americans do not really like EITHER. So in short, they have to vote but if they had their way these two candidates would not be on the ballot. I have never seen a situation where the public had such distaste for both.

Vegas Odds on the 2024 Election

I try to keep things short and succinct. The "style" element is that Biden has no charisma and is about as inspiring as watching paint dry on a wall at lunch in Fresno. He is basically the Clear Eyes guy except that he drones on for hours instead of 30 to 45 seconds. -

Will there be a second debate?
impartialobserver replied to Fluffypants's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Probability and prediction are intertwined... If you say probably this will happen, you are saying that you predict that it will happen. Each is inherently subjective.. But if you want to play stupid and waste someone else's time.. plenty of chances for you to do so. in advance.. you get the last word. as a reward, what would be your prize? A lollipop. -

its a prediction.. so inherently subjective and could be right or wrong. If you do not like what I post.. you could do the grown up thing and just keep scrolling. Wait... that is expecting too much of an adult. -

its just a prediction... do you understand that? It really does not matter.. I do not need to watch them. No new information will be obtained. -
I do not condone someone showing their genitalia at a parade. It should be dealt with much the same as if there was not a parade. If they want it to be centered around nudity then either do it indoors and/or prohibit children from attending. Having attended one in Sacramento.. there was no nudity or not at least in my view. So no not all gay pride parades have nudity.. in fact most do not.

Vegas Odds on the 2024 Election
impartialobserver replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I have been saying since last year that I think that Trump wins in 2024. It is a simple matter of variability. Close defeats can somewhat easily be changed into close wins. Biden is simply uninspiring. In todays day and age of style over substance... he has no style. -
Will there be a second debate?

Probably will be a few more later on in the year (Sept and Oct.) Each will be just as uninspiring and pointless as this last one. -
Do you ever tire of talking to yourself? I could not care less if you respond to me or if you are breathing..

interesting you how can't produce a quantitative database... Your life experience do not line up with mine. What I see is that it is ok to be gay/lesbian. This whole, "it is great, you should be one of us" narrative that you see... I have never seen it. And as someone who has been to every city of size west of Denver... I have a larger sample size than you.

Accepting them as humans therefore normalizing them... is not teaching the child to be gay. We had two gay men that lived next to us growing up. My mom's message was clear, "they are human beings.. nothing more and nothing less". Tell me with a straight face that was promoting their lifestyle and teaching me to be gay? if such a database does exist then why did you not send a link to it? Lets be clear.. I said database not links to subjective articles. For example, If I want a database on jobs in Michigan.. I go to https://www.bls.gov/cew/data.htm and then click on one screen. From there, I choose Michigan. Can you provide a database like this?
-
Maybe. But one's personal economic fortunes do not solely depend on the President. You do not go from being dirt poor to living in a mansion because the right President was elected. It is one's actual decisions that make or break someone. Being someone that grew up poor.. I know intimately what brings that on and it was not because Ronald Reagan was in office.

while there is no way to quantitatively prove or disprove what you say.. My life experiences say that you are exaggerating. Those rare times when the pride flag has been up.. there has been no overt messaging that lines up with your narrative. Accepting gays/lesbians is not mutually exclusive to accepting religion. I am fine with both groups and guess what.. am not a part of either. PS... spare me the links. Your cherry picked examples do not give the full story. The full story would a data set that gives explicit examples of when the pride flag was up at a given place and a quantitative measure of how much overt messaging there was. We both know that this does not exist.
