  1. Please. The survey is extremely flawed and you should be able to see that, and your headline is just a lie, Did you even read it or just post what you thought was a headline that supported you They asked not if "Political Violence was justified", they asked if violence was justified in ANY OF 20 HYPOTHETICAL SITUATIONS, including "stopping a protest' and 'violence' includes pushing and shoving. So if someone says yes, they'd prevent someone from smashing up their store in a protest, that's "political violence". It's also weighted - they took the small number of people they identified as belonging to a 'maga group' by their definition and then extrapolated that across how many "maga' people they feel are out there And they only report "Maga", and democrats. Yet 'republicans' is much lower. AND it's an online poll. Here's a more honest survey and it shows that republicans and democrats are about tied. This STILL suffers from some of the problems of the previous poll but it's much more honest: Political Violence in America: Public Perceptions, Polarization, and Accountability - PRRI This poll and others like it use a more general queston, and when it comes to supporting "political violence' generally, democrats win hands down: Is the American left really more supportive of political violence? Polling commissioned by The Economist (also conducted by YouGov) shows that 20% of liberals think political violence can be justified, compared with 7% of conservatives and moderates. Our polling shows that liberals of all ages are more likely to condone political violence than conservatives but those under 40 are especially likely to do so. Almost one in three young American liberals thinks that violence can sometimes be justified to achieve political goals (see chart 1). The results agree with polling which suggests that a substantial minority of young liberals were sympathetic to Luigi Mangione, a 27-year-old who is charged with the murder of Brian Thompson, a health-care executive The reality is that liberals and democrats are far more likely to support political violence in general.
  2. The people don't' seem to think so. They liked the park. And it's not a 'library' the way you mean it, it's a president's library. Which is essentially a museum. Barack Obama Presidential Library | Barack Obama Presidential Library Sooo .. not quite what you thought it was i think
  3. We're approaching summer, when NOBODY pays attention to politics unless a serious situation arises. But then we're into the fall when people do pay attention, and whatever's happened with CUSMA will have happened. And people are really going to start to watch if the economy is still poor and they're still paying higher prices and crime is still an iissue etc etc And at that point it'll feel like an 'old' gov't, the 'i just got here' excuse will be done. And at that point i think we'll start to see some serious dipping in popularity and voter intentions.
  4. Well if you're talking about net favorability then you're actually still a little high apparently. Carney has been about 30% net favorable but the latest Abacus polling shows him at about 21% net favorable. The liberals have also lost support for voting and more people are seeing the country as going in the wrong direction. Honestly I don't think it's that people supported Carney as much as they're just not thinking about him and saying that they support them based on the fact that they voted for him But in the last few weeks the economy and several other issues have been forced into the media quite a bit and people are starting to take a look at them and they're not liking what they see. In some ways it doesn't matter because he's got his technical majority and probably won't have to face the voters anytime soon. but i think that when people actually look at what he's doing they disapprove. I think the "approval" is based on the fact that most people aren't paying attention right now if it's not in their face.
  5. So... basically it's a giant eyesore that took it's design cues from "the emplre" from star for obama to walk around in while advising people "I find your lack of woke disturbing" and the like.
  6. ROFLMAO! Yeah kid, you're totally winning
  7. No, we're admitting you're a joke There's a difference. You're never serious. You're simply self-delusional and fixated. Again, there's a difference. I constantly provide proof you're wrong. That's usually where you flee like a frightened child and pretend you can't see me while we both know you do. As far as proving you're little more than a comedy show for most people here, you do all the proving necessary on your own
  8. This is kind of a long-standing tradition with the liberals. This is not close to the first time this has happened
  9. LOL wow are you back to just peeing yourself and calling people "loooozer" 100 times when you lose an argument? Guess you wasted all that money on that therapist LUUUZER!! LLLLUUUUUUUUUZER!!!! I WIN! -Exflyer LOLOL well enjoy your meltdown
  10. It not only takes imagination, it takes a healthy dose of self delusion as well Kid you're the biggest joke on this forum, and that's saying something You're always wrong, your 'cites' are always garbage, you can never address anything that's said to you and you feel that ALL CAPS and BOLD are how you win arguments. You're just part of the left wing comedy team that keeps us amused around here
  11. That's what you always say when i hurt your feelings really bad Sorry, kid, but you're just such a delicate little flower it's hard not to. Go ask your mommie for a cookie, you'll be fine.
  12. Your reaction suggests that you don't think it's crap and you're worried.
  13. LOL no it is not' It's EXACTLY about toxic workspace, which is a term others have used to describe his workspaces before as well. Lawyers query Carney’s role chairing firm battling sexism allegations | National Post He's very trumpesque by all reports. It's not that he doesn't 'suffer fools', it's that it's his way or the highway. And those who disagree get shouted at or demeaned. Now, some bosses are just like that i guess. But - this is going to cause him problems. For people to be openly talking about it outside of caucus it's got to be pretty bad.
  14. Actually it explains there crime policies. I think they got confused and believe if they release someone here and enslave someone there that somehow they are "slavery neutral"
  15. They are. Students are only counted in the Canadian labour force if they are currently employed or actively seeking paid work. If a student is solely focused on their studies and not looking for a job, they are classified by Statistics Canada as "not in the labour force". [1, 2, 3] A more detailed breakdown of how students fit into the labour market includes: 1. Employed Students Students who work part-time or full-time (e.g., during summer breaks) are counted as part of the employed labour force. [1, 2] 2. Unemployed Students (Looking for Work) If a student does not have a job but is actively searching for one and available to work, they are counted as unemployed. Together with the employed, these individuals make up the total labour force. [1, 2] 3. Not in the Labour Force Full-time students who are not working and not looking for a job are excluded from the labour force entirely. For example, a full-time university student taking classes and not actively seeking employment is not counted when calculating Canada's official labour force So the vast vast majority of foreign students work. At least part time. "Yes, a significant majority of foreign students work during their studies. Across major study destinations like Canada, a majority of international students take on part-time jobs to offset high tuition fees and cover living costs. [1, 2, 3]" So you're wrong again. As we have seen by the fact that I needed to correct you on virtually every element including your last state ment, you are not aware or knowledgeable about what immigration is all about Immigration has several purposes. Historically it is absolutely not been an economy Builder, if anything it held the economy back a fair bit. That changed largely in 2006 when Canada moved to a much more filtered points-based system. But even so generally speaking it takes at least a generation after immigration before the economy notices a benefit from integration that is substantial and real However, and be used to mask or create the illusion of a good economy when in reality the economy is poor. Which is absolutely what trust and Trudeau was doing and it is now being acknowledged by experts everywhere. It was noted at the time by many but the liberals are now using that fact as an excuse as to why it looks like they're doing worse than Justin did. Your premise is entirely wrong. The excessive immigration we saw under the Trudeau liberals was absolutely an effort to artificially conceal the weaknesses and failures of the Canadian economy during his time. And that is one of the reasons that the economy is appearing to completely crash under Carney It's not the carney completely crashed the economy, it's that it was horrible all along and now we can finally see it for what it is. Carney's problem is he hasn't improved it despite promising the fastest growth in the G7 Highly targeted immigration can benefit the economy even in the short term if it's done right, but we have fairly limited amounts of that. Most of our immigration does not benefit our economy at all for at least one generation, and it sucks up tax dollars at an alarming rate by reducing GDP for capita
  16. Haven't found any so far and neither could those who tried. As i've already pointed out But your childish outburst suggests you already realized that and are just angry about it. Sorry.
  17. It's a recession big guy Canada’s economy is in a fragile, "wait-and-see" state rather than a full-blown crisis, but it is facing significant headwinds. While the country avoided a deep recession and some metrics remain stable, stagnant business investment, a slide into a "technical" recession, and high living costs are creating major challenges for Canadians. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] The Challenges (Why it feels like trouble) GDP Contraction: Canada technically slipped into a shallow recession after GDP declined for two consecutive quarters, capping off the weakest period of growth since the pandemic. [1, 2] Stagnant Business Investment: A chronic lack of business capital spending remains the economy's Achilles' heel. This holds back long-term productivity and limits wage growth. [1, 2, 3] Per Capita GDP Decline: Even when overall output grows slightly, Canada's population surge over the last few years has meant that overall living standards (GDP per capita) have been declining, leaving many Canadians feeling financially squeezed. [1, 2] International Trade: Uncertainty regarding U.S. policies and tariffs continues to weigh heavily on business confidence and export dynamics. [1, 2, 3]
  18. “I can’t believe that I’m having to clarify that Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada, had or didn’t have slaves," said Conservative MP Steven Bonk. I mean, seriously - how the hell did we get to this? This guy is no better or different from trujmp - he thinks he's the king, he's got a background that's WORSE than 'grabbing someone's ****" he's done everything that the left screams about as being horrible and fascist from hiding the money of the 1 percent to mass renovictions to using slave labour. He's driving future generations in to deeper debt than any time in our history and demanding 'sacrifice' while eating about half a million a year in the very best 'airline food' in the world at their expense. And the left just thinks he's super great! There has never been , nor is it possible for there to ever be, a group more hypocritical than the left today is Alex Dhaliwal
  19. Students work, and in fact many of them worked instead of attending schools. That was a big thing. And of course the tfw's are by definition workers. And a huge percent of 'students' go on to become citizens. So my original point is still completely valid. And no, the primary reason for throwing open the doors to over immigratoin was to mask the weakness in the economy by artificially boosting the base GDP number. Now that this excessive immigration has been stopped we're seeing how weak we really are. To the point of recession. And we're still letting in very large amounts of immigrants so sorry, but you really don't have a leg to stand on in that regard.
  20. This isn't the first time this has come up. And there's been plenty of stories from his previous jobs too. You can kind of see it in him when he answers questions he doesn't like from reporters. He's already lost a minister over it and Steve suggested there were as many as 14 others who were getting pretty fed up. Carney has never been in politics, he doesn't understand politics and he thinks it's just like running a business where he's a dictator at the top. Basically he thinks he's donald trump. That will create more and more fractures over time for him. Even chretien wound up getting the boot by his caucus
  21. Carney under fire over Brookfield's role in deforestation, slave labour Yup, turns out when he was in charge of the company they participated in massive deforestation, displacement of indigenous people and even slave labour. I'm sure carney will say they're just TECHNICAL slaves, which are the best kind of slaves.
