Oooo look at you, getting your money's worth out of that word of the day calendar And of course that's not true. Unfalsifiable doesn't mean it's hard to disprove or you don't have that data right now, it means something which is by it's nature unprovable. And that's not the case here. I've noticed the left throwing that term around lately but sorry - not what you think it means. It would be relatively easy to demonstrate that there's no connection between WEF and the current gov't if that was the case, or that WEF ideology or concepts were not showing up in the canadian political activity of the day. So it would not be hard to reasonably disprove. For example PP isn't allowing any of his people to participate in wef just to make sure that is plain. Easy peasy. However - there ARE close connections to the current gov't. And much of the WEF talking points DO show up in our political agendas of the day. So there is actually evidence that you're wrong. So - where's the evidence that you're right? IF you're saying you have none then your statement is just bullshit you pulled out of your ass to defend your liberal buddies yet again.

What is you opinion on career Politicians?
CdnFox replied to CrazyCanuck89's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Sitting as a member does nothing to prepare you for running the party or the country. Serving in cabinet does, handling ministries does, serving on committees does, etc. So he had 2 years. That's his entire time actually working in a job which would prep him for running the country. And in politics - that's a rookie. Would you feel better if we just said he was incompetent? I don't' think anyone could argue THAT -
Oh - well then you're an !diot. Sorry - i thought you might have an actual point for a change, that's my bad The intersectional hierarchy has been written about in vast volumes by the left, its recognized constantly, you will frequently see left wing gatherings organizing people's speaking order based on that and in fact even the last ndp convention did that where your turn to speak was based 100 percent on your position on the intersectional hierarchy. LOL - I have no idea why i thought you'd actually know something about what you were talking about. All i can say is i'm rarely that unreasonably optimistic Sorry for the inconvenience.

Better to ask when a first term politician became leader of the party. That is a more interesting look at performace seeing how often they fail to be pm. And how poorly they do if they get there. Justin was basically at the end of his first term when he became leader. Ignatief became leader with zero terms. Jagmeet was leader before his first term even started as I recall. And none of them are looked upon as being very successful. PM is not an entry level job. On the other hand - lets look at some politicians who were considered successful in their day. Harper, Career poiltiican. Chretien, Career politician of many years. Mulroney, career politician, and going back in time we see the more successful and competent ones in history's view tended to be career politicians. It's like playing hockey. The best of the best go tot he national league and you need that level of skill and experience to compete there. That's federal party leadership and being prime minister. You can be on a farm team for years but that still means you're a rookie when it comes to the big league. it takes many many years to learn the trade and during that time you need to be serving in cabinets, committees, putting forward legislation etc etc. It is a very complex job and to do it well requires experience and skill. None of which justin had when he became leader or PM. And the results show. -
Sigh. You don't know what a 'facist' is do you. Please don't use words just because you think they sound cool. If by 'believe' in them you mean give them any stock or value, and if by 'facists' you mean authoritarians in general, then your statement is probably true. People who are authoritarian tend to believe in such things, and often come up with their own hierarchies based on their own preferences. But if you're the kind of person who likes to control others then you definitely want them broken down into categories so you can appeal to one group or the other as needed.

Nonsense. There's a lot of people who have 'moral' values which arent' tied directly to religion. I believe stealing is wrong and i'm not religious - "UNPOSSIBLE" you'd say A social conservative is simply a conservative who believes that it's appropriate for a gov't to enforce a moral code which reflects traditional values on the public by force of law. Everyone believes that a LITTLE (which is why theft is illegal) but people who consider themselves social conservatives tend to accept that kind of gov't intervention more or by some definitions as their primary political concern or voting motivation. And honestly there's not all that many who would fall into that category. Whereas the liberals and left these days mostly tend to fall into the socialist liberal category which is where their moral beilefs should be enforced by force of law, but instead of traditional values they substitute a social agenda. Same thing really. Gov'ts really should not be used to enforce moral or ethical beliefs overly much. If anything they should be striving to keep things neutral and level and focus on personal rights.

Trump 2016 inauguration speech: Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans, and people of the world, thank you. We the citizens of America are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people. Together we will determine the course of America, and the world, for many, many years to come. We will face challenges. We will confront hardships, but we will get the job done. Trump 2024 inauguration speech: SAY HELLO TO MY LIL FRIEND!!!!!! -
Are you claiming they're NOT both lists? The difference between them ISN"T that they're not both lists, but rather that you've emotionally invested in one and not the other. In this case tho they really are exactly the same thing. They're both lists of people who someone feels is more important and deserving than someone else. A 'hierarchy'. They are both hierarchal lists that give certain people an excuse to treat some better than others and attack or repress people they don't like. They're ... the... same... thing. One one list - "this person is better than that person because i perceive their ethnicity or genetics to be of greater significance". Not them as a person, but as a group. The other is "this person is better than that person because i perceive their ethnicity or genetics to be of greater significance". Not them as a person but as a group. Like the meme says - "its the same picture". All you've done is re-invented racial/ethnic supremacy in a format you find socially acceptable, but it's the same thing

That won't work unless biden has agreed to step down and harris has a greed to allow it i think. The delegates are bound to vote for biden otherwise. -

Doing nothing. Not even in power. Never ran a ministry, barely even proposed a law, never worked even as a shadow minister for any of the important portfolios.... He had zero experience running a gov't or even a department. And no experience that would translate to that from before he joined the gov't. Like i said - you can work 10 years in the mail room but that doesnt' mean in the slightest you're in any way qualified to be CEO. So the ONLY experience he had at all prior to becoming PM that was relevant to running a country is the 2 years he was leader. That's it. Complete rookie. And as noted - the results show it. -

And not just trump, but angry riled up pissed off trump whom you poked and poked with a sharp stick. If you liked the Original Trump. you'll love the sequel, "the trump-pire strikes back". -
People often ask how PP will be able to reduce the deficit. Simply allowing fewer refugees in so that we dont' have to spend massive dollars to house and provide for them is an example of how costs can be cut without cutting services to Canadians at all. I'm all for helping people, but it should go without saying that we help our own people first. Helping others have a home shouldn't come at the cost of putting our people on the street.

Biden had a bad night. Toughen up. Fight's on.
CdnFox replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Biden didn't have a bad night. Biden had dementia. And that's not going away. What the debate showed is that he's become diminished to the point where he can't do the job. And that condition will grow worse and worse rapidly. Hes' out of it bud. Trump is going to win and biden will be able to retire and rest as he SHOULD have been by now. -

CdnFox replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I think his whole purpose in this post is to avoid anything Biden said at all costs. The lies Biden told were bad. But nowhere near as damaging as when he was trying to be truthful and demanded that they finally beat Medicare and such. Decrepit Biden is far worse than dishonest Biden as far as re-election goes -
Are you on glue or something? There's no mention of syrians in the thread title. The mention of syrians is from the article: Emma MacLean was walking with her girlfriend Tori in Halifax, Canada when a group of about ten ‘middle eastern men, believed to be from Syria’ came towards them.Sigh. What the hell's the matter with you? No drinking before posting. That's not what i asked you to cite. Thanks for answering a question nobody asked i guess. Seriously what the hell is wrong with you tonight? Which you couldn't cite and are just making up. Ok - i dont' know what brand of cough syrup you're drinking this evening but you're obviously about as mentally fit as biden during a debate right now. have a sleep and maybe try again in the morning.

Fairly sure. I'm not a super expert but she's already registered as his running mate. And they do it that way as i understand it just in case something were to happen to a candidate before an election. When donating it' to the 'biden harris campaign' as i understand things so she has instant access to all the campaign funds as well, which would not be the case for a different candidate even if they somehow found a way to select one. That's my understanding of how it works anyway.
