Then quit being cowards and DO something. ORGANIZE. Between retired and active service members and their families and direct groups like the cops who would support you, even before you go to the public your numbers are into the MILLIONS. you could easily be a major factor in voting. Depending on the year there's usually about 40 battlefield ridings in canada - more than enough to make the difference between minority and majority. Get organized and target the hell out of them during an election and let it be known you'll do that every time and the party that does good things for vets gets support and the party that screwes them gets trashed. It's NOT hard. But it takes work and a bit of courage. There is NO reason at all you can't be a major political force.

So - now that i've shown that ExFlyer is a bit of an easily triggered leftist !diot - back to the main point that he and moonpie were trying to bury. We desperately need doctors and nurses and medical staff. We tend to think in terms of just doctors or nurses but really all the staff is necessary - you can't do operations without an anesthesiologist even if you have all the doctors and nurses you need. And yet - trudeau encouraged the provinces to fire the unvaxxed instead of using the other effective methods available to address the issue. And the provinces went for it. Now those people are gone and the've moved on. It has been widely reported that many others left the industry of their own accord. We should be having a discussion about that and why it was a massive mistake to prevent that kind of stupidity from happening in the future. -
Well its possible - Harper didn't "Signal", he just "Did" things. And emissions plummeted under his watch. And nobody gave him an ounce of credit. He did more without making any committments than any liberal ever elected by miles. And nobody cared. So it kind of sounds like the lefties don't ACTUALLY WANT anything done about climate change. They JUST want to hear promises, they don't want to actually see results. So PP would be pretty stupid not to give the people what they're asking for. Deep down i think people know there's nothing Canada can do so they just want to FEEL like they care.

ROFLMAO - awww poor little commie girl Nothing else you can say in rebuttal is there - you know it's true and we do as well. Here's another one for you - and you really really do make me smile a lot

You throw those words around like confetti whether they fit or not. You don't care about facts - you just care about emotional arguents. EVERYBODY knows what a fraud you are. You have literally claimed all jews are nazis SEVERAL times, you frequently say ALL conservatives are fascist. You don't care if a word fits or not. Sorry -that might work with the preschoolers you usually hang out with but it's not going to fly here

Ohhh noooesss - triggered leftie is triggered LOLOL - I take it the truth upsets you. And you still havent' learned how to use google yet Maybe get a 10 year old to walk you through it slowly. Buuuut - here's some. Just this once BC - i actually understated it. Turned out they fired even more than the last time i looked https://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/about-2500-health-care-workers-lost-jobs-over-refusal-to-vaccinate here's that billboard i mentioned https://www.kelownanow.com/watercooler/news/news/COVID_19/Unvaxxed_doctors_ask_for_their_jobs_back_on_billboard_on_the_Westside Now that's not all the doctors that were let go - just the ones in this group. There were many more. As for ontario you have to look at region by region. Here's a google search to get you started. But even at a glance, you can see it's into the thousands. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=ontario+medical+staff+laid+suspended+refuse+vaccine&t=newext&atb=v318-1&ia=web Roughly about 10,000 workers nation wide https://tnc.news/2021/12/16/provinces-sacked-almost-10000-health-care-workers-over-vaccine-mandates/ LOL - sorry to burst your bubble - but thanks again for the opportunity to point out that I'm right and you're wrong :_ Always a joy Already posted the links. Doctors, nurses and health care workers, during the pandemic, 10,000. Wow. Well folks - that's what happens to the leftie brain when it's confronted with facts it doesn't like -

Oh Wait! I never claimed it was new ! You lied about that. SHOCK! Here's a hint kiddo - if you have to lie to make a point you dont' have a very good point -
it doesn't matter what comey was given. The legal community including the fbi's own people knew it was wrong and can clearly articulate why. She got off because her husband ran across the tarmac to pressure the DOJ into making the FBI do what Clinton wanted - not for legal reasons. Sorry kiddo - can't lie your way out of that.

Thousands actually. In bc alone 44 doctors put up a billboard saying they were willing to work and the policy was stupid and more than that were let go. Hundreds of nurses were laid off. Then they had to close or's and er's. 1200 or thereabouts doctors and nurses and medical staff in total got laid off in bc - the numbers in ontario were horrendous. Across canada the numbers are staggering. "We fired thousands of qualified people that we desperately need now because they disagreed with our political position and now people are suffering - but YOU"RE the bad guy for bringing it up!!!!!" Get your head out of your butt. The gov'ts fired shittonnes of hospital staff in the middle of a medical crisis to make a political point. And now we're completely desperate for those same hospital staff. The moral of the story is DON"T FIRE DESPERATELY NEEDED STAFF FOR A POLITICAL POSITION IN THE FIRST PLACE. -

Just tell them you bought some 'carbon credits' and flash them some canadian tire money. They'll go for it,

Y'know - reading this thread, maybe the REAL 'woke' is the friends we made along the way.

No tax and doing nothing would be way better than getting taxed for doing nothing

Is our Canada a better place since 2015 . . . ?
CdnFox replied to Nefarious Banana's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Nope - for me my 'manic' money goes to " We knew we were in trouble and people instinctively knew the right thing to do - everybody everywhere bought toilet paper and by god they didn't stop till the world was safe again." History is not going to look back on this as humanity's finest hour. -
And why would you suggest that? It woulnd't work either. Which is probably why it's not received well. The carbon tax doesn't fight climate change. The carbon tax is just a tax for the liberals, where they keep large hunks of the money and impoverish people - the lower income people the most - and then pretend to look like a savior when they give a small portion back, and the poor people are supposed to say 'we can't afford NOT to vote for these guys - someone else will take it away", not realizing they only need it because the libs robbed them blind in the first place.

TUCKER CARLSON OUT AT FOX NEWS
CdnFox replied to Aristides's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
1 - then fix that. Demand that they look at nationalizing it or if you prefer to work on a local level get a movement going to change where people can vote. 2 - hogwash. Not to mention there's mail in ballots. And of course your premise that it's obstruction is based on the idea that every poor person and college student votes democrat which is not only false, it's stupid. 3 - sit in line and get it done and quit yer whining. It's once every four years and the dems and republicans are stuck in the same line. -
One might make that argument i guess and fair enough but if others engage in it as well then the fact that he does something slightly more than others who do the same thing can't really be held as that much of a negative. If we're going to go that route we should put up a post and agree on some 'rules of engagement' for cussing each other out and only come down on those who step outside that. Otherwise he has every right to draw the line where he does as you do where you do.

Uh oh - whats the matter muffin, no intelligent response? Nope. Plenty of hunter gatherer types had sysetms of slavery. Although i supposed you might argue that even hunting and gathering is a form of agriculture... sort of....ish. And this has to do with what we're talking about... how? No, it requires no particular infrastructure to have slaves OR be the most successful. For example the west coast natives had an embarrasment of resources compared to many others and weren't particularly sophisticated, but still kept slaves. The plains people had less but kept slaves. There's no particular correlation. Didn't mention any. Those were simple facts. They did trade women the same as horses. THat was just a thing. They did kill others and had their wars, they did take slaves, etc etc. The pejorative would be to call them savage for it. WE look at it now as being really bad but in the context of it's time things were different. Sorry big guy. Calling people 'sellters' and the like (especially people alive today) is as ignorant as calling first nations savages (which meant basically 'one step up from animlals") especially those alive today. Its' just ignorant and rude and petulant. The kind of thing chldren who don't know better might do,

maybe but i understand a lot of them don't even speak english. It may be faster but i don't know if it could be MUCH faster. Arguably true but that's now - a different gov't may feel different, zelly isn't going to last forever. The more ties the better. Well it's not based on any facts, or anything concrete i could point to, it's not like i'm overly pleased with it but there's a bit of sense to it so... . oh, i see what you're saying

BULL - SHIT. There was an ethics committee hearing and then harper tapped Oliphant to investigate In April and May 2009, the next episode ensued as the Oliphant Commission inquiry began. Chaired by Mr. Justice Jeffrey Oliphant, Associate Chief Justice of the Court of Queen's Bench of Manitoba, it was specifically mandated to focus on the dealings between Schreiber and Mulroney. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_affair So harper investigated more than one way and neither of them involved Johnston. If you're going to lie at least do it about something that can't be proven wrong in 2 seconds.
