This is precisely the point MLK Jr was making in his "I have a dream" speech. This is the point that Morgan Freeman was making in this video: The goal has always been eliminating the perception of difference between races. The problem is, some people think we need to highlight those differences in the name of equality. An oxymoronic thought process that the left cannot seem to find the irony in. The more we celebrate people based on their inconsequential traits the more we accentuate stereo types and tropes. We are human. Hair color, eye color and skin color are nothing more than descriptors on an id. card.4 points

No coast guard is not part of the military, it has it's own separate department/ chain of command, it does not take orders from DND, nor does it perform any military missions....for "accounting" purposes it falls under the military spending for "NATO" accounting, as per NATO policies for all NATO countries... It is still a separate federal department with it's own budget attached to it's operations....As are portions of the RCMP budget accounted by NATO for NATO accounting purposes, as well as minister of transport aircraft budget counted towards our NATO military budget...each one is a separate department with separate HQ's and separate federal budgets. They are connected Via what is allowed to count as Military spending by NATO policies for accounting only.. no one falls under the department of defense3 points

A terrorist got arrested. What is the abuse? How was she disabled? Here is a thought, don't interfere with federal law enforcement officers while they are arresting criminals and you won't go to jail. She was being violent and threatening. She deserved to get arrested.3 points

No, stupid, the road was clear, and the last officer pointed her in that direction - she could've gotten out of the way but decided to throw some privilege around instead. The silly b*tch got what she came for. NEXT!2 points

Yeah, the conflicting orders were them giving her repeated chances to leave, but she kept refusing and yelling at them. Then they would tell her to get out and she would drive a few feet and keep doing it. All she had to do was drive away. This also doesn’t excuse her resisting arrest and fighting them.2 points

The Canadian Coast Guard was finally moved under the Military umbrella. It was a long time coming and we were the last to do so. All other countrys Coast Guards are part of their military or their Federal Police Force.2 points

The world can't end tomorrow! I Pre-Ordered Starfield. It's not slated to be released until Tuesday. This will not do.2 points

I stand corrected.... It's part of the DND which is military. I assumed the personnel would fall under that as well.2 points

Their mere existence causes conflict. Israel spends 90% of their time defending themselves from Palestinian attacks and yet the Palestinians are the victims. These are all people no other country wants because when they go into other countries they create problems. You don't see any country offering to take the Palestinians in do you? They just cry about them and use them as a way to attack Israel, they could give half a shit about them. I always laugh at liberals who love the Palestinians soooooo much even though they are the antithesis of everything they believe in. Iran creates chaos all over the Middle East. Their leaders are religious extremists who if they ever got a nuclear bomb wouldn't waste a moment to launch it in the name of Allah. We have to remember that Iran literally has Death to America day. They do most of their worst work using proxies, funding terrorists groups. These aren't good people and regime change MUST happen for the safety of the world. Just the fact they have a holiday called Death to America day should be all you need to know.2 points

How was this the right decision? AI: "The two atomic bombs dropped on Japan in 1945 resulted in an estimated 150,000 to over 246,000 total deaths. The majority were civilians, with 70,000–120,000+ dying instantly or within months in Hiroshima and 40,000–74,000+ in Nagasaki, with many more dying from radiation-related illnesses in the following years." And what irony that the nation that did this now preaches 'No nukes' to other countries. And people actually want the US or Israel to do this to Iranian civilians? This isn't taking Iran's side. It's about humanity.2 points

Generally speaking, she just summarized the feelings of most people I know, meaning the ones I see on a daily basis at the gym and various other sporting activities & hobbies I participate in. I'd observe that they tend to be kinder in the way they frame the issues and the words they choose, but, the sentiment itself is pretty much the same. I'd also observe that the demographic is younger... the old timers tend to be 40ish with only a few of us significantly above that. And here's the thing, support for the liberals is running between 63 and 67% in the Maritimes and 47% of voters here are aged 50 and older. I don't pretend to follow voting trends or have any in-depth knowledge about such things but it looks like boomers are driving the success of the liberals and the younger crowd are becoming increasingly frustrated with it. Anecdotal at best but that's how it appears to me. I'm starting to think that these frustrations will only increase with time and as the boomers die off that the politics of the nation will change significantly and quickly. Put another way, and IMO of course, the driving force behind the current level of madness in Canada isn't the Liberal Party per se, it's the "moon bat boomers" who keep voting for these critters. The Liberal Party is simply giving (what I see as) the most selfish, self absorbed and entitled generation to ever walk the planet exactly what they want. Maybe as the boomers die off we'll slowly return to the "old school" liberal values that I used to share and vote for; the current flavour of liberalism gives me the dry heaves; there is nothing I find relatable and I'm starting to not even recognize the country. So... maybe MAID is a good thing and maybe it should be expanded. If we don't rid ourselves of these critters pretty soon there may be nothing left for the next generation to save. As it stands now, and if they got busy on the required rectifications tomorrow, the fix is about two decades out. Am I an army of one here?2 points

Not much. I was just out there the other day. It looked pretty much the same the day before and as it did 50 years ago. There's just less fish boats now is all.1 point

They have been given a new mandate for security and surveillance and as a result have acquired the civil surveillance aircraft and personnel of other civilian departments, including a MALE UAS that is actually going to be DND’s only MALE UAS until the RCAF’s MQ9s are operational a few years from now. I am sure there is more to come as well1 point

Poor robobigot: even the hardcore lefties here won't support his BS thread. Random musings: Should police "discriminate" against the handicapped, by not treating them like normal citizens when they break the law? technically all leftists are ret4rded, so police could never stop them from doing anything if they couldn't arrest the mentally handicapped If they let that woman get away with her crimes just because she's ret4rded, there would be another leftist 't4rd-horde attacking the WH next weekend, just like the one in Aug 2020. It would be like an army of zombies, only dumber. Which begs the question... who would lead the charge: robo or herbie? "Hey, what about me?????" - MH1 point

Correct, unarmed but not civilian operated. The personnel are part of the DND...meaning it's operated by the military. No different than the US, with the exception of being armed, at this point.1 point

Milhouse thought changing his appearance would make him more palatable. He thought Canadians were that shallow and stupid. Add that to the fact he has done little to change the parties trajectory after four losses in a row, these are some of the reasons people do not like the man.1 point

For his complete adoption of Trump's rhetoric during the election campaign. But Maybe you're right. I could have found a more apt description of Mr. P. He's definitely a 'Chicken Little' or a 'Cassandra'. And he's also footling: trivial and irritating. And an 'Also-ran'. Etc....1 point

You are such lying failure. You didn’t say Carney met Maxwell at a concert years after Epstein was convicted. You falsely claimed he was a longtime acquaintance of Epstein no different than Trump and that his campaign admitted it. Which is a Lie And if your ADHD-riddled brain had actually bothered to read the article instead of just brainlessly copy-pasting the headline you would see it says Carney is NOT mentioned ian any epstein email correspondence. His name is only found in news articles from financial news outlets that Epstein had subscribed to email alerts for. Thanks for reminding us waht a confused and/or dishonest twat you are.1 point

There was never an abandonment or even talk of abandoning fossil fuels. That is not practical, or realistic. You can wonder as much as you like but the unequivocal fact is that climate change is a direct result of the fossil fuels we use to power our industries, vehicles, planes, etc, etc... You mention China, who is still a developing country using a lot of conventional forms of energy, but is also the clear global leader in transitioning to clean energy solutions of solar and wind power. The global investment in clean energy last year was $2.2 trillion which doubles the investment in conventional energy. That alone tells you which way the world is going, but here we are sitting next door to an administration that cares little for the environment ,and a portion of our country who's only idea of success is a pipeline. That's not forward thinking... We should be alarmed.... The world is still going to be here long after after we're gone, but I'd like to think that mankind is smart enough to do it's best to see that the world is still around for those that come long after us. Part of that responsibility is eliminating, or significantly reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. My 2 cents... I see you have comprehension challenges again....1 point

How are leftists reacting to this? Leftist media says moon mission is a colonial attack on Indigenous beliefs So it was that on Wednesday, The Walrus, which touts itself as publishing fact-based journalism and provoking new thinking, ran an article headlined, “With the Artemis II Mission, the Lunar Land Grab Begins.” https://archive.ph/JUyRG#selection-4035.0-4049.11 point
