  2. Its true. He wasn't born as a biological zucchini, at birth he was a radish. But through several stem replacement operations and fertilizer treatments he eventually became the vegetable he is today and gosh darn it we're proud of him!!!

  8. ICE conducted more arrests under Obama than Trump, and they gave Homan an award. The leftards can no longer deny that the KKK, Antifa, BLM and now the Anti-ICE rioters are all Dem-controlled militias, so they're desperate to create the narrative that Republicans have a militia out terrorizing people as well. Nice try, now f-off and go back to performing your Satanic rituals on your children.

  11. Corruption in my opinion has become more widespread in all parts of government and our institutions. It always begins at the top and spreads downwards. It will be difficult to weed out once it has become acceptable which seems to be the case. Politicians get caught in the act of doing certain things and they just don't care. As with the Trudeau government there is no accountability.

  12. It's a wonder that so many people who've been similarly affected by misgovernance can't see or utilize that common experience to change how they're governed. It's a real mystery.

  14. One thing I've learned about the typical Canadian Liberal voter is that they're far more likely to approve of anything a Liberal government does as long as it does not affect them directly. When it does begin to affect them directly.... well ask Trudeau. Poilievre at least deserves a second chance because his policies were sound. You know, the policies that the Liberals stole from the Conservatives to win the last election. The only difference of course is that Poilievre if elected would have enacted those policies. But with democracies everywhere, the people vote and get the government they deserve.

  18. What kills me is the three pages of stubborn defense before admitting that the statement wasn't accurate. I mean hell, any of us can make a statement and then evidence proves that it's inaccurate, but You can't drag the denial out for three pages and then turn around and say oh no I was wrong and run away

  19. Your whole thread was based on this stupid assertion. The one where you bragged about how smart you were and how dumb everyone else was. Now you balk after all that and say "my bad?" ROFL, you are a joke. So tell us then, what should the thread title have been, what is your claim about the dollar now, and when will that happen?

  23. What is "preformative bullshit"? While travelling to those countries he has made connections and deals but as with large contracts, existing ones have to be honoured and completed before new ones can come into effect. Cannot read your link...it is behind a paywall. I agree about the ports being almost up to limits...with exception of Prince Rupert. Scheduling is critical if we are not going to build more. (Hudsons Bay notwithstanding) Since taking office as Prime Minister of Canada in 2025, Mark Carney has aggressively pursued a strategy to double non-U.S. exports and diversify Canada's trade partnerships . Major New Trade Agreements and Partnerships Canada-China "Landmark" Trade Deal (January 2026): Reached during the first visit by a Canadian PM to Beijing since 2017. Agriculture: China will lower tariffs on Canadian canola seed to roughly 15% (down from 85%) and remove tariffs on canola meal, lobsters, crabs, and peas by March 1, 2026. Electric Vehicles (EVs): Canada will allow 49,000 Chinese EVs into the market annually at a reduced 6.1% tariff rate. Energy & Security: Includes MOUs on energy cooperation (oil, gas, nuclear), law enforcement cooperation against transnational crime, and visa-free access for Canadians traveling to China. Canada-Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (September 2025): Canada’s first bilateral trade deal with an ASEAN country, expected to reduce or eliminate tariffs on over 95% of Canadian exports to Indonesia. Canada-UAE Strategic Partnership (November 2025): Secured a historic $70-billion (US$50-billion) investment commitment from the United Arab Emirates into Canadian energy, AI, and infrastructure. Canada-European Union Security and Defence Partnership (June 2025): A framework for security cooperation and Canada’s participation in the Security Action for Europe (SAFE) initiative. Canada-Mexico Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (September 2025): Focused on North American competitiveness, infrastructure (ports/rail), and a new bilateral security dialogue. Agreements in Progress & Other Initiatives Qatar : Negotiating a new Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPA) and a double-taxation agreement to ease bilateral investment. South Korea : Signed an MOU for industrial collaboration on "future mobility" (EVs and batteries) and an audiovisual coproduction agreement. Ecuador : Recently wrapped up a trade deal, though specific implementation details are pending. ASEAN: Actively accelerating negotiations for a full Canada-ASEAN free trade agreement, anticipated to conclude in 2026. Domestic Trade: Enacted the One Canadian Economy Act to reduce interprovincial trade barriers and expedite major infrastructure projects.

  27. Freaked out? No, just offended by blatant cronyism and corruption. Paying a public official 10x the market value for a home is rightly seen as a bribe. Perhaps the law hasn't caught up to IP, but the principle is exactly the same.

  28. Because he turned himself into a Trump wannabe. I don't like the direction the Liberal Party has taken this country, but most Canadians also don't want Mini-Trump. And there's lots of things PP says i agree with, but just too many MAGA-type comments, slogans, and policy proposals from him. He's a conservative trend follower and little else, and the trend is MAGA.

  30. How it works is that all a referendum does is trigger constitutional negotiations. I bet three quarters of us in this forum will be long since dead of old age before they ever get close to concluding those. Then it'll all have to go back to court.

  36. Do you think Trump cares? If white rural people tended to have ID less often than others do you think he'd want ID as a requirement? The man tried to steal an election using fake elector ballots he wanted to give to Pence, but Pence refused to do it. Then he threw Pence under the bus. Do people have short memories here or something? Lol

  40. Don't count on it. https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/carneys-liberals-soar-to-47-and-a-nine-point-lead-in-national-polls-after-davos-speech-leger "The Postmedia-Leger poll was taken Jan. 23–26, after Prime Minister Mark Carney’s trade negotiations with Beijing and his widely covered speech to the World Economic Forum warning against truckling to “hegemons.” It found 47 per cent of respondents would vote for the Liberals, a significant four-point jump compared to an early December Postmedia-Leger poll. It also shows that satisfaction in the Carney government jumped nine points to 58 per cent and Carney’s own popularity increased by eight points to 59 per cent in the same period. The poll shows the Liberals’ lead over Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives, at 38 per cent, has increased to nine points ahead of the opposition party’s convention that will see Poilievre’s support tested by a leadership review in Calgary this weekend."
