  1. Sorry but that's bullshit. The law may allow for it but currrently depending on the province you will be destroyed financially and emotionally as you spend your entire life's saving defending yourself in court. And expecting people to wake up and experience the fear and terror of a violent home invasion with a person armed with a weapon to stop and rationally think "Hmm, whats a reasonable amount of force to use here" is insane. So what we have now is a circumstance where the home owner must PROVE he was reasonable in his defense. What they're proposing is that the court should have to PROVE the defense was completely unreasonable before charges are laid, and that the burden of 'unreasonable' should be high, thus preventing someone who defends his home from unreasonable and unfair charges that destroy his life So they understand the current law just fine. As always you're a lying sack of shit. Well done.

  2. Exactly. 80 Million + Lawful gun owners and some nut job mental defect kills people and the liberals want to disarm everyone else. No thanks.

  4. ExFlyer is a leftist troll. All he ever does here is whine and cry about conservatives, but yet, when i ask the fool as to what the lieberals have done in the past ten years, he remains silent or posts funny memes. The fool is not worth anyone's time here to try and debate with. Just saying.

Do you think people can't read your posts? Now go scrape your leg.

  6. A crazy-ass trannie opens fire in a church...one it attended before... And Libbies think guns are the problem. Have any of you read the profile on this bugger? Outcast...angry...sexually confused...man the guy's mom worked at that church as well. Robin/Robert was a product of social decay.

  7. If you're one of those that actually believe that Canada was better some time before, then you are the problem. You have zero interest in making things better. Get out of the way!

  9. First of all, this doesn't change the fact that you are shipping coal off to burn. OMG, it is amazing that you put this much effort into typing this much nonsense. Both thermal and coking coal produce CO2, and coking produces methane, both of which contribute to climate change as greenhouse gases. So what? This is the point I just made, folks like you brag about this stuff, while you defend shipping it all off to China instead.

  10. You don't hate dead kids. We've proven that many times now. You do hate guns. It's that simple. You're a complete hypocrite.

  11. Would you think guns have enemies? Well yes they do, there are two, Liberals and rust. Oil can prevent one, common sense can prevent the other.

  13. You. I already pointed that out. Odd you'd want to point it out again As always you lie and then when called on it and given real facts you have no rebuttal but insults. You know i'm right and can't say anything to defend yourself. Yawn

  14. In canada it's known as "punishment by process". That's where the state knows you'll be found innocent but they don't like what you did so they deliberately drag you through the system in the most painful manner to punish you for your 'crime', and even though you're innocent and will eventually win they've sent a message to others that they will destroy you if you daaaaaaare to defend yourself like that.

  15. No, you aren't making any progress at all, these things keep happening and you keep coming up with excuses to do nothing about it. Another school shooting in the US. Yawn, let's have a pool on how many weeks till the next one and how many kids will die.

  16. the part where you're so insecure that you need to try to slice it up like that. Conservatives have been in power for about 50 percent of the last 40 years. Pretty close to half the time. SO what does that tell us about you Sorry to hear you shat your bed again last night and need to try to make yourself feel better

  18. The Democrats only have a 24% approval rating. So they came up with a grand new strategy. A FIGHT SONG! Trump is negotiating new trade deals, ending conflicts all over the world, bringing down prices, deporting illegal aliens, cleaning up the worst cities and passing tax cuts that help the poor and middle class and the Democrats came up with a fight song. Great job guys. Great job.

  19. I love my tattoos, but I'm particular about what I get. Inside forearm - my grandbabies names and birth flower/birth tree. Other inside forearm - my grandmother's name and blue roses, which she loved. Thigh ( a bigger one ) - my sister and I got matching tattoos, black lace heart with roses This is my latest, but its about a year old. I saved a pic of it for years and finally got it done. I get a lot of compliments on it. I'm deciding on my next one.

  20. I did say I supported Harper closing the loophole. Whatever honesty he tried to put on display was squandered when he refused to apologize for it. As pointed out his misstep only caused more cynicism towards politicians and governments in general.

  22. OK, I lied but this is it... I promise. Here's an example of the overlap between conveyance and hunting regulations (whether it's hunting season or not). It happened to me last year: I went to the 3D archery range during daylight hours and planned to be home before sunset. I was driving the jeep and had a flat tire on the way home, changing it took longer than I expected and my choice of jacking location was poor. At full extension the flat came off OK but I couldn't quite slip the fully inflated spare onto the hub. I was in the process of digging down the inch I needed (with a stick) when a kind gentleman stopped and offered me a shovel. Back on the road home but it was now 35 minutes after sunset and civil twilight was over. Had a police officer stopped at the scene my bow which I was legally transporting 5 minutes earlier instantly turned into a weapon by virtue of it being 31 minutes after official sunset. Had I covered it with a blanket, that would have been OK as it would be considered "cased." Had I unstrung it, that would have been OK too. It would instantly have morphed into a piece of wood with string attached and the arrows would have become pointy sticks with feathers on them. I didn't even think of that until after I got home though. A simple thing but had it gone sideways, I would have been charged, all my guns would have been seized and the case would have been dismissed a year later at significant expense. I could entertain y'all at some length with this stuff... fear not, I won't. One things for sure though, I'm not smart enough to make this stuff up.

  24. You don't seem to get this but I certainly acknowledge that you think you do. I doubt any scenario driven hypotheticals or actual past situations I could offer will change your thinking on it. Although statistically unlikely, this situation (an early morning home invasion by someone armed with a crossbow) could happen to anyone. I'll offer a final thought for anyone unlucky enough to experience something similar. After the event you will likely be distraught, shaken and in a state of shock. That is no time for making statements to the police even though they'll try to get one from you. Don't do it... you'll do yourself no favours by complying. Talk to a lawyer before you do and have the lawyer present during the interview. Here's another... If you own firearms you can pay a modest fee as a retainer for group coverage up to a specified amount depending on the plan you opt for. Be assured that the police are not experts in firearm regulations including storage and conveyance... If you own firearms I really think it's a mistake not to have this, it has saved a number of folks from financial ruin caused by what (in my opinion) amounts to little more than the malicious prosecution you are likely to opine doesn't even exist.

  25. well no. But lets take a step back. Guns don't make people commit suicide. Japan has no guns at all pretty much yet the suicide rate is much higher. So that reasoning is out the window. And of the rest the VAST Majority is criminals shooting at criminals. Those people will get guns regardless of the laws JUST AS THEY DO IN CANADA WITH TONNES OF LAWS. You're 100 percent in the wrong

  26. It seems pretty simple, you cross a legal line when you do more than you need to protect yourself and your family. In other words you can't take a bat to the back of some perpetrators head as they're running out your front door, nor can you knife or shoot them in the back.

  28. You think this stuff happens over night? BC has had low carbon standards for fuel for several years. The feds are behind on this. What shovel ready projects are you referring to and who is building them? Are you suggesting the federal government build pipelines and LNG plants, go into the business of building homes? The building industry said Trudeau's home building claims were nuts because we simply don't have the trades to build them. That won't happen fast either. I'm certainly not saying he can't do some things better but they will never be good enough for you.

  29. You literally have no idea what you are talking about. Everyone can't have a handgun. People who have been institutionalized or ruled mentally defective can't own firearms. Most people will never need a seatbelt either... so, I guess we shouldn't wear seatbelts.

  31. Christ you are dense. Like seriously it’s already been explained to you that Canada’s smart targeted retaliatory tariffs, which are temporary, are different than Trump’s dumb, across/the board permanent tariffs against every country in the world. You’re clearly intellectually challenged which is why you couldn’t finish school, but surely you can STUDY REL HARD and figure that out. Secondly we are not “getting throttled”. We are actually doing much better than we expected back in February when we signed up for a fight. Surely a dropout like you has been in his share of fights and understands that getting a bloody nose is part of the fight. The rest of your post is the usual right wing hogwash.

  33. Streaming in Canada: Privacy section accidentally deleted? OTTAWA — The federal government says it’s “looking into” what appears to be the accidental removal of a privacy provision in its Online Streaming Act. Earlier this week, University of Ottawa law professor Michael Geist outlined in a blog post that a privacy provision in the legislation was removed only two months after the bill became law, through an amendment contained in another bill. ACCIDENTALLY my ASS!!! They knew exactly what they were doing and hoped nobody would notice. They just 'Happened" to "Accidentally" pass another bill that deleted the privacy protections for canadians for a bill that already has massive potential for overreach. And they're not moving right away to fix it, they're going to be 'looking into it', which means they have no intent of doing anything and hope if they delay long enough people will forget and they won't have to put the provisions back. This gov't is evil. How anyone can support these people is beyond me, but any liberal supporter who EVER complains about trump or any other human rights violation should be slapped in the face for their utter hypocrisy.

  39. Yes, the dollar has been weak for a while now. I'm not sure what you're point is. It's a false choice, it's not between our health care or a deductible. It's about how the Liberals have make our system worse. Refugee and general immigration has been completely out of control, with no regard to housing, health care etc. I'm not sure how you can support such policy. Hardcore narcotics, approved for use. Look it up. I don't care about other countries, I care about ours. We were once fiscally responsible, we have not been so since Trudeau was elected and decided to run "temporary and modest deficits." It's now been 11 years with no end in sight. Again, you can hate Trump, you can hate Pierre because he's a jerk, but this type of governance is unacceptable, and makes Canada worse and weaker.
