Yes, everyone is dishonest when they don't buy your narrative, and yes I'll continue to tell you to get outside when you think I need to be here 24/7 responding to your typical claims of lying. Now go outside and get some fresh air....2 points

At its heart, Zionism just means wanting a homeland for the Jews where they'll be safe. So most Jews are zionists. And the more harassment and attacks they face in other countries, the more they'll believe in that need.2 points

Sure Herb, that must be it.... Try this, get yourself a T-shirt that says "My name is Herb and I'm a Jew." Then, go for a walk in downtown Toronto and see who accosts you. What is their political persuasion and/or ethnicity? As far as the T-shirt goes, the purpose of that "Jew" designation is twofold: one, to test the limits of the freedom of expression you see as solidly protected (and I don't) and two; to provide a catalyst for reaction and see who reacts. The "Herb" reference is simply to ensure that those of us who would otherwise be inclined to intervene reach for a cellphone instead. Here's an additional snippet you should find compelling but won't, the absolute safest place for you to wear that new shirt is at a sanctioned IPSC competition. Here's a view of you and a few others from my window:2 points

Rather, I would say you're an opponent of intellectual honesty. I was asking a question of someone who was doing a brilliant tap dance and kind of still is. I'm a conservative by the way. Not a populist.2 points

I think Albertans are crying on more than just losing the election..., i think they are looking for better representation, i think they are looking at getting rid of policies that keep oil and gas in the ground....which for the life of me still can not understand how everyone can not see that is beneficial to our whole nation...not to mention the dozens of other things that this country has wrong with it....most of them can be laid at Justins liberals feet/ now carneys liberals..... I hope your right....but if these tariffs go on much longer and job loss keep adding up, not to mention the other Carney promises don't come to fruition, liberals are going to start bleeding support...1 point

Oh no.... they're taking always my rights! What a joke.... the province is a tinderbox and they're trying to protect the land and people but of course, idi0ts who would most likely not go into the woods anyway feel compelled to complain because it's an infringement on their rights. What a bunch of fools!1 point

I don't think government policy was a major factor for either Harper or Trudeau although Trudeau's immigration policy certainly didn't help. Look at home price history and mortgage rate history and you will see that as interest rates declined, home prices increased. Almost free money and the ability to qualify for huge mortgages had as much to do with it as anything. That long period of stagnation was more a result of high interest rates than anything else. https://www.livabl.com/articles/news/chart-greater-vancouver-prices-climbed-4-decades https://www.forbes.com/advisor/ca/mortgages/mortgage-rates-history/1 point

A random observation wrt the hatred directed at jews: Media reporting of some of the assaults is an interesting study if you take the time or have the inclination to look into individual attacks on Jews. Here's the CBC report of one in Montreal: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/montreal-police-investigating-attack-father-1.7605147 For whatever reason, It didn't include an available video though. Even though it's limited and inconclusive it still reeks of deliberate targeting when you see the presence of children and the kippah getting tossed at the end. I took a passing interest in this particular event because of the kids and found the video on (Gasp cover your ears Roboturd) Rebel News... Here it is Zoom in on the attacker, is that the reason it was omitted? Maybe just me but another point of interest is that in all the (albeit random) cases I've looked into I see that the attackers are not "fighters" by any reasonable definition of the word and there seems to be no shortage of people standing about with cameras filming the action. There was a time when immediate intervention in such things would have been far more likely than reaching for a cell phone. In fact, were you to stand back and simply video the action you would have been viewed as a loathsome creature. That's clearly no longer the case and we're now (collectively) OK with that it seems. I think we've lost a piece of ourselves in the bargain though. If the statistics I hear are close to true, it seems that well under 1% of the population now have the skills (at a basic level) or inclination to intervene in cases of obvious need. The presence of children here is what adds a "sense of urgency" IMO. Not sure what to make of that but somehow I feel disturbed by it. It also explains (at least to me) why military and police recruiting / retention is so challenging now. The people inclined to throw themselves into such things have always made up the recruiting demographic that used to run at about 5%. Small number I know but we're losing ground if the new number is truly under 1%. Artificially expanding the traditional demographic parameters through targeted / DEI hiring will not fix the problem, it will make it worse. Perversely (to some) getting into the stream needs to be significantly more difficult, more selective... and yes, more elitist in terms of competency. Running fat farms prior to basic training may be inclusive but it doesn't seem to be "working out" too well and I'm inclined to say "I told ya so." I'm guessing most people who watch the video (or similar ones) have a range of emotions: disgust maybe, concern, anger perhaps, a sense of how did we get here, etc. BUT, how many get that burning head to toe adrenaline rush that smoulders for the rest of the day and propels their pushup count to new levels. Personally, this will have me smouldering for days... not good during a fire ban eh?1 point

How Carney is betraying a vision of a fair and strong Canada basically the TL DR Is that the left is already severely unhappy with how right-wing carney is. They feel he is betraying Canada and his promises. Meanwhile on the right Conservatives who kind of paused for a moment and thought maybe this guy won't be so bad Are starting to lose patience as well with no new Pipelines, caving to trump like a wet noodle, not removing inter provincial trade barriers and not getting rid of the no pipeline law I think carney is probably going to fall victim of trying to be everything to everybody and being nothing to anybody. If the NDP elect a strong leader in January after some of these cuts come in the liberals could be very much pinched0 points

LOL once!!!! Wow, that's pretty impressive city boy You sound like the typical left-wing sort, the drives there sUV Into the Woods in the summer, sees a fawn nibbling at the dew kissed grass in the mornings with the sun filtering through, drives home thinking he's communed with nature, parks his vehicle and goes and jumps on the internet to complain about climate change and explain how he really knows nature LOLOL The bottom line is that severe and totalitarian restrictions for extended periods of time crossing entire provinces is not something people should be accepting lightly. The only reason you do is you're 90% communist anyway and appreciate totalitarianism-1 points

All valid points I can see restrictions, and when Manitoba had a really bad situations they shut things down for a very short. Of time until they got it under control but people were able still to apply for a permit. So local people could still go out and enjoy their local woods and as long as there was some accountability and knowing who was in the woods at what time accommodations were made. That's kind of a reasonable attitude where it's like we have to have restrictions and we want to know who's in the woods just in case they do start a fire but at the same time we want to make sure that we don't overwhelmingly destroy everybody's access to the province they love just because there's a fire.-1 points

Saskatchewan and Alberta will still need to ship their grain and oil, even if they become a separate country they're not moving to a separate planet Chances are given the circumstances PC might very well decide to join them. But whether they do or they don't if anything will be more important than ever-1 points

No he'll be saying that harper made Justin do it-1 points
-
No, not really. You can cherry pick your years to make it sort of look like that but no. When harper took over vancouver was coming off a long stretch of stagnation and even reducing housing prices. The ndp gov't which had been in power in british columbia didn't do a lot for the economy. So when that gov't changed AND harper came along things picked up but it was mostly catching up for lost time. And it had a spike at the end but it also had dips near the end too. It shot up at a vastly vastly higher rate under justin. it didn't just 'keep going up'. But it's pretty cheezy looking at one city in one province. Lets be a little more real about it, In harper's time the average house price in CANADA, not just one part of it, went from $305,000 in 2007 to approximately $413,000. During justin's time it went from $413,000, and in the end it had reached $811,700, with some areas experiencing small fluctuations and drops around 2023-4 but the national average not changing much. So it LITERALLY doubled under justin, under harper it went up maybe 25 percent on average. But what about rent? Hey if you can't buy at least you can rent so how'd that do? Under harper it started about 774 to 996. A significant increase, but still affordable. Under justin it went from there to 2200. MORE than double, and became unaffordable for many. There's no comparison. Period. And harper was already beginning to take steps to keep pricing under control which justin threw out the window, Justin destroyed the economy, justin has made housing beyond the reach of most young people, justin drove investment out of the country and it's not coming back any time soon, justin created an overpopulation problem. He was EASILY the worst prime minister in history. And this is the party you voted for,-1 points

LOL so you're so emotionally upset over being wrong that you're fantasizing about what i'd look like as an old stripper Kid, that's pretty damn bad you need to up your medications a little i think . As i have posted many times i live in a rural area myself, own the property, and probably have a nicer place than you And this is precisely how i like it. No plastic around me kiddo. But i love that on top of fantasizing about me as a stripper, you're also spending your day desperately wishing and praying that i'm somehow jealous You have all the emotional maturity of a 15 year old girl ,-1 points
