Except all of this happened much slower, and the mortality and severe outcomes results were much worse, when vaccine rates were lower. 😑 No, the vaccine produced few side effects, of which most were marginal, and the cases of severe problems were lottery-rare, despite all of the social media squawking you echoed. On the other hand, they saved millions of lives, and in places where you and your fellow ignorati were common, way more people died than necessary. That's a fact. Here you are, years later, still whining and about it.4 points

FoxNews (The most trusted name in news) "We just completed a massive Deal with Japan, perhaps the largest Deal ever made," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "Japan will invest, at my direction, $550 Billion Dollars into the United States, which will receive 90% of the Profits. This Deal will create Hundreds of Thousands of Jobs — There has never been anything like it." Trump said Japan will open its country to trade in things like cars, trucks, rice and other agricultural products. ----‐----------------‐---------- In other news, the tariffs that are in place have raised over $100B in revenue. This is what we voted for. This is working.3 points

None of that is true. He wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. He'd just heard the covid vaccine was some kind of 'Conspiracy' and didn't realize the tetanus shot was a vaccine. If he'd read the Tetanus vaccine was 'bad' he would have refused that. Anyway it's just an incident I found odd. Sure seems to have riled you up, though.2 points

Councilwoman cites multiple cases of 'soft-on-crime' instances, including dismissed attempted kidnapping charges against an alleged registered sex offender https://www.foxnews.com/us/progressive-da-who-dismissed-alleged-sex-offenders-attempted-kidnapping-charges-faces-recall-petition No surprise here, and take a look at the picture of the piece of shit whose charges the piece of shit DA dismissed. Blue states really need to be scrubbed vigorously and purged of all liberal filth.2 points

As usual you don't tell the full story.... That said, nobody is going to make the FN's unanimously happy regardless. The 'banker' certainly appears to have the confidence and support from all premiers for both a trade deal with the US and the nation building that needs to happen. The PC premiers actually speak very highly of him.....go figure. Doesn't appear that they miss PP's paperboy route and phone collection skills that he would have brought to the table...2 points

During Covid construction went on. No lockdown for us. I worked with an anti vaxxer. Got all his info off social media and figured it was some kind o conspiracy. One day he somehow stepped on a nail which punctured his workboot and jabbed his sole. Went straight to Emerg and got a Tetanus shot, no questions asked. Wouldn't get a Covid vaccine for something that had killed 30,000 Canadians in a year, but no problem getting the Tetanus vaccine for something that kills less than 1 Canadian a year. Go figure!2 points

I am not done reading this document. I just wanted to post this nugget from the document Grassley declassified 2 days ago. https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/press/rep/releases/newly-declassified-doj-watchdog-report-shows-fbi-cut-corners-in-clinton-email-investigation https://www.grassley.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/horowitz_2018_midyear_appendix_released_by_chairman_grassley.pdf By way of forming a consensus relative to the candidacy of Hllary Clinton, Barack Obama, leading the Democratic Party (DP), sanctioned use of all administrative levers to remove possitbly negative effects of the FBI investigation of the business of the Clinton Foundation and the email correspondence of the State Department. Based upon information from Wassemann Schultz (sic], the FBI does not anticipate any kind of direct evidence against Clinton, as there was timely deletion from the email servers. The political director of the Hillary Clinton staf, Amanda Renteria [PH), regularly receives information from Loretta Lynch of the Department of Justice, on the plans and intentions of the FBI. Active work s being done on clarification mostly with potential witnesses: the primary witnesses are a number of computer specialists in the Clinton private circle. They represent the only tools which may be used in this matter. Therefore, the threat is minimal....1 point

There are lots of non-natives who also don't like C-5 and don't want to see it used to ramp up fossil fuel production along with other environmentally damaging developments in Canada. Carney also made promises to these people that he's expected to deliver on. As for Carney, it seems there isn't a politician alive who understands that making promises is a mug's game. So is taking them too seriously and assigning enormous weight to them.1 point
-
The Carney is a bonified thief and liar. That much is fact and the Libbies were fooled by him. But he's proceeding in a conservative direction for the most part. If he continues to relax regulations and pushes forward, Canada will benefit and as a Nationalist, I am forced to approve. In the end though, it is the carney's business concerns that will benefit the most.1 point
-
The good reason is he's prime minister and that's who is doing the negotiations and they literally have no choice. They have to present a united front or they're going to get eaten alive. The exception of ford they have all expressed concerns as loudly as they can and still appear united. They made it clear that they have doubts that he will be able to deliver but they are willing to give him enough time to prove them wrong I know that breaks her little heart. Everybody wants their hero to be worshiped by everyone else and you're no exception. But the adults in the room or a little more dispassionate recognize this for what it is. Which isn't to say he can't win their trust. If he delivers then they will be thoroughly happy. If Alberta gets its pipelines smith is going to sing his praises and say she was wrong to worry and rightly so. Frankly if he showed up with a good deal and got inter provincial trade working properly and solve the housing crisis got pipelines built the way he's promised he would over the next year i'd be the first to say I misjudged. Based on what I've seen so far I have severe doubts that that's going to happen. He promised in the election he would be able to deal with trump and get rid of trump's tariffs and now he's saying he can't, he's already caved to trump numerous times and trump is vicious when he smells blood in the water. He's already put strain on the first nations relationships don't need to get any of those projects done. And he already blew past his deadline for resolving Interventional trade with next to no results. Do something about those pipelines and trump doesn't get rid of the tariffs which appears to be what's going to happen that Ontario is absolutely screwed. The saving grace will be if we start massive pipeline building using ontario steel, that would help. So if you can't make that happen and he doesn't deliver a better deal with trump that he's signaling he's going to get it's going to be dark times1 point

This isn't a guaranteed outcome. It will depend on a ton of variables from price elasticity, to domestic production. What it does do is inicentivize domestic production and dissentivize imports. Japan's deal is a perfect example. If they produce nthe goods in the US they get a huge break. That means jobs for Americans.1 point
-
This also means that the importing goods is essential for the US. Meaning it's only a matter of time before tariffs exponentially raise prices for Americans. This is why the US rates haven't dropped. If that's the goal, fine. It's an excellent revenue generation tool. But the consequences are an affordability issue for American, the exact thing Americans elected Trump to tackle. As much as nations need the US to continue to trade with them, the sentiment created by this combative form of trade negotiations forces other nations to create different partnerships and encourages them to avoid buying products from the US. It's said the Trump recently called Canadians nasty? Why because we're boycotting American goods and refusing to travel there. Again this counters the goals of said tariffs to begin with. What's the point of opening up markets to products from a country that is acting openly hostile to it.1 point

Did the vax "stop the spread" as we were told it would? No. In fact, The Rona continued to ravage the population until...it finally burnt out due to natural immunity. https://www.bmj.com/content/374/bmj.n2101/rr-0 In the heat of the vax push, and because I was being forced to get vaxed by work, I asked my doctor about it. His reply was luke warm. "The vaccine is the directed remedy and that's all I can say." And that's all I needed to hear. The government literally held their credentials over the heads of doctors. So you can take your "educated" chickenshit and choke on it, for all I care. The truth is, those vaccines did not "stop the spread" and produced countless bad side-effects.1 point

Only because you did everything you could do avoid reading or acknowledging the large scale and diverse academic and official studies, from all over the world, consistently showing higher vaccination correlated with lower rates of severe COVID outcomes/deaths. Instead, you cherry-picked the odd dissenter and/or quack and pretended they were the pre-eminent experts. Right, which is why higher education is correlated with higher vaccination rates, and why the most educated among us on the topic (the doctors) were widely and wildly in favor of the vaccine. 🙃1 point

But it’s true. Foley is only one. What about former speaker of the house Dennis Hastert, an admitted lifelong pedophile. Let me repeat that : the speaker of the house, the most powerful republican in congress, was a lifelong pedophile. Roy Moore and Matt Gaetz loved underage girls. And those are just the pedos. If we look at sex offenders more broadly to include rapists and sexual assaults against women there’s a whole bunch more. Back to the point of the OP let’s summarize all the Epstein-GOP ties: Trump and Epstein were good pals and party buddies for almost 2 decades, spending significant amounts of time together on epstein’s island, on Epstein’s plane, and at both of their homes in NYC and Florida. Epstein used prominent Republican lawyers including Ken Starr (of Monica Lewinsky fame) to get a sweetheart criminal deal from a Republican attorney general. Starr would later go on to cover up sex crimes at a university where he was chancellor and after all that Trump would go on to use Starr at his impeachment trial. Epstein was conveniently arrested and died under suspicious conditions while in Trump 1.0 custody. Meanwhile Trump continued to gush about what a great person Ghislane Maxwell is even after her conviction for sex trafficking minors. Then Trump 2.0 was elected and Virginia Giuffre an outspoken survivor of trafficking by Epstein conveniently commits suicide. Trump’s commerce secretary Howard Lutnick was Epstein’s neighbour in NYC and still owns the house he bought from Epstein. But Hilary did it.1 point

The fools are going to die from measles because of their vaccine conspiracy madness. It's not fully their fault, they aren't well-educated. The government and pharma industry also isn't exactly known for their honesty, so hard to blame the 2nd-guessing for people who aren't educated enough to understand science and statistics.1 point

Because it means nothing when you use it. You're the political equivalent of a drunk soccer hooligan. You are wearing the jersey, and shouting a lot of juvenile slogans and cringe-level insults, but it's just noise. It's like your brain only holds a small selection of words and phrases on these topics, and before every post you just sort of shake your head a bunch to jumble and re-arrange them for your next slurry of banal ranting. "Something something Globalists, something something Lieberals, something something Marxists, something something WEF, something something Carnage, something something Fascists". There you go. You don't have to respond to me now. I've already paraphrased your next post. 🤡1 point

Have you been to Notre Dame? Or the great cathedrals of Italy? They are among the most extraordinary artistic achievements of Western civilization. To see the works of Renaissance masters in their original settings is still possible in many Italian churches. One doesn’t have to be religious to be moved by such beauty. I was particularly taken by this Bellini painting on a recent visit to Vicenza: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baptism_of_Christ_(Bellini)1 point
