1. Left-leaning parties have been "trying" for the last 10 years in this country. What did the Liberals accomplish? What did the Liberal-NDP alliance accomplish? Large deficit spending on social programs and taxes on fossil fuels causes inflation (not saying those are the only reasons for recent inflation). The most left-leaning cities in the country are unaffordable dystopian sh!holes filled with drugs, theft, and gang violence. Mass immigration has contributed to inflation, healthcare overcrowding, and crime. 2. Canada has among the lowest birthrates in the world and a low population density. Countries like India, China etc are far more to blame. Maybe even the US compared to Canada. 3. What do you want the Liberals to do differently? What are your proposed solutions? It's very easy to say "let's reduce income inequality", but the devil is in the details. What do you propose specifically? The rich are already taxed at least 50%+ in this country. We've raised minimum wages and started new dental/pharma/daycare programs (that aren't being costed and paid for and just added to the debt). The problems of inequality are far more troublesome in the US. In Canada our biggest economic problems are housing and rent affordability and the resulting decrease in standard of living because of the % of people's paychecks going to mortgages/rents. Leftwing politicians have made these issues worse. The boomers don't want their house prices to go down. Yet we need a lot of immigration because of plummeting birthrates, which are the direct result of decades of progressives pushing for things like birth control use, abortion, women in the workplace etc. to a radical degree. I'm not claiming the CPC or GOP have ideal solutions either. I think all the main parties in Canada and the US are filled with ideological nutjobs. Centrist politicians with reasonable solutions are an endangered species. 4. Stop projecting things onto me.4 points

They’ve made a number of proposals, but they don’t have legislative power to implement them. They advocated for eliminating the consumer carbon tax several years ago. Liberals ignored. They’ve advocated for linking immigration to housing and health care. Liberals ignored. They e advocated for building pipelines and LNG facilities. Liberals ignored. They’ve advocated for a path to a balanced budget. Liberals ignored. They’ve advocated for repealing C69 so that Canada can start developing its resources in a faster manner. Liberals ignored. You’re still consumed with blaming parties that have had no power to make changes, while absolving those that have. Your argument lacks any logic and reason.4 points

Dan Bongino is very careful with his words. In this case he called all three cases instances of potential public corruption. It is interesting that he included the J6 Pipe Bomber case as an example of public corruption.3 points

1. Isn't Rahm Emanuel where he is because of 'woke politics'? 2. Emanuel: “If you want the country to give you the keys to the car, somebody’s got to be articulating an agenda that’s fighting for America, not just fighting [President] Trump.”... Sorry Rahm, the "fighting for America" lane is already chock-full of GOPers. What are you gonna do Rahmy-boiii, just copy all of their ideas, like Mark Carney, only to "change your mind" after you're elected?2 points

I see Hodad is over here pushing his usual dishonest BS. You see, what he is doing here is blurring history together as if Trump, in one edict, said no one gets in except these few white people over here. Clearly dishonest framing. Trump ended ALL refugee programs at the outset of his administration. There was nothing racist or racial about it. As time went on, later in his administration, this was one of the first revisions to that initial pause. Focused on this specific situation, not on race. This doesn't apply to white people from other places. Nothing blatantly racist about it.2 points

Thrown out by a federal judge. https://www.reuters.com/legal/bidens-catch-release-border-policy-struck-down-by-us-judge-2023-03-08/ Biden's 'catch and release' border policy struck down by US judge March 8 (Reuters) - A federal judge in Florida on Wednesday agreed with the state's Republican attorney general that the policy of President Joe Biden's administration to release many people who illegally cross the U.S.-Mexican border rather than detaining them violates U.S. immigration law. U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell in Pensacola blocked the administration from continuing to implement a 2021 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memo that had authorized "alternatives to detention" to ease overcrowding in detention facilities. These alternatives included ankle bracelets, phone monitoring or check-ins by immigration officers. Republican critics have called the policy "catch and release."2 points

The vote was held following a series of contentious meetings over the past two months. On April 8, the board approved a resolution to end DEI within the school division, citing concerns that such policies and programs could violate a Trump administration executive order that threatened federal funding for DEI-related initiatives. Yet you just admitted that's the only thing you can't see. In a similar comparison would you acknowledge that the German's switching to the Blitaz and bombing London civilians instead of military objectives like RAF airfields was a mistake? The Brits have said so. That only hardened British resolve and led them to feel bombing civilians in return was fully justified. Blowing the shit out of Korea and Vietnam didn't work either. Nor has it worked on the Ukraine. It turns the people against you, not their own leaders. Obviously I don't condone Oct 7. But I'm a little sick of reading about 50 people in a school or hospital wach day and ONE terrorist leader wiped out every month year after year. And now they admit the overall plan, which they could've accomplished in a week with boots on the ground and tens of thousands fewer civilian deaths. Surely you, claiming military skill with your very username can see that is neither supporting Hamas nor antiSemitic in any way. Loathing the leaders and the Generals of any country is not anti citizen.1 point

Well since we are being honest, The US has a massive military spread around the world to be the world's policemen, and because of that the nations involved in these US efforts have slacken off to almost the point their military is almost non existent, most of them have cashed in on peace bonds big time reducing militaries upto 80 % strength since the cold war ended... And while doing so the US has maintain it's forces to pick up some of the slack....at the US taxpayers expense...Since Russia has grown a pair they are taking advantage of these circumstances....as has china, even telling the US when they will take back taiwan....So are the American pissed off , ya, are they telling the world buck the f*ck up and start paying some of the bills ,hell ya....and your upset why ? because it is trump, or that we are one of those countries that now have a huge decision to make, leave NATO, because it is to expensive, and do it on our own.... If you want a seat at the table it does take military might to backup your foreign policies...Even the Swiss take their military seriously. Canadians have this historical thing they do, disregard their military, run it down to being irrelevant, then when conflicts starts up, they send their citizens out to fight with sub par equipment and training.... because it is much cheaper overall to bury our citizens than equip them with equipment that could save lives...now thats a canadian value you can be proud of. and if your good with that sending your sons , daughters, grand sons and grand daughters into battle with sub par or the cheapest bidder, or something some politician picked out becasue it looked cool...then thats the last thought you should have when they lower your loved ones into the dirt....me on the other hand have a son and a daughter serving, and would love to see them come back to me.1 point

As is the awkward truth that the Governor General is the effective head of state, that despite the title of the King's representative in Canada, the GG does not consult the Monarch on decisions. Man has worked through it's issues with other countries by waging war...We as a race have not figured out any other way to solve problems....so we kill each other until one side gives up....in this case Hamas a known terrorist group does not care about anything other than it's cause which is to destroy Israel and all jews wherever they reside in the world.... With out this war people " Us people "are saying Palestinians have the right to invade and kill Israelis on their whim...Israelis are saying FU palestinians we have a bigger stick we will kill you....and the world does not like this....and yet has not come up with a viable solution for both sides to agree to.. The winner will be declared when enough palestinians die they will demand peace and kick out their terrorist oppressor's Hamas....1 point

Well, that would be those endless parades of angry foreign Muslims in our streets screaming about how we need to kill Jews Zionists. There are a number of differences. First, their preferences are not reflected in government policy, and never have been or there'd be no Palestinians. On the other hand, we saw on Oct 7 what Palestinians would do if they ever got loose in a civilized country. If you think they wouldn't do the same thing here, you're very much mistaken. It's practically renewable (for canadians anyway). And it's safer than any other permanent reliable source of power. The current one being built is the first of it's kind and took less than a decade from design to authorization to proceed. And any mega power project costs billions. Go look up the site c dam Its genius. There is no 'renewable' energy source the way you mean it that is reliable. The sun sets. Wind stops. we've seen the results. Thee is no effective storage of electricity right now. So nuclear power provides a perfect emissions free alternative that runs 24 7 every day of the year, is safer than any other reliable energy source, and can be placed anywhere. It would make the whole 'carbon' problem go away for good. Which is why you hate it. You don't care about climate change, you care about having something to be angry about.1 point

But it's not his personal use. It's for the use of the current president of the united states. No matter how you like to sing and dance that is the simple truth. It's no different than the current air force one, it's not there for his personal use either. You twist and turn and wine and cry but at the end of the day you cannot make this his personal property. If he accepts it he will be accepting it to use as president to the united states unless he just accepts it and allows it to sit on a Tarmac somewhere as a gift. Again your hatred and bigotry blind you. Everything I've said is 100% the truth1 point

First, not a liberal. In fact last time I voted Liberal was for David Pratt and that was only because I knew him personally. Now back to your lack of understanding of economics. Canada's fiscal year is from April 1st to March 31st, much like many businesses. I could explain the reasons for this but I'm sure it would fall on most likely deaf ears and most definitely ignorant ones So either you want him to table a budget for fiscal year that was over half way through the first quarter when a new government took over. OR you were expecting him to release a budget as an unelected party leader weeks before a close election? Or did you have another idea , untethered from the realities associated with finance at that scale, or in your case any scale And, as you often do, you've argued against your own point. We'll to be fair this specific point. Your overall pointis just Libs bad, because you're a partisan hack. You said Harper elected in JANUARY (hint January is before April) months before the fiscal year started, (Again Months Before) and still tabled a budget. Your right and many economists didn't think he could and were impressed when he did. I too thought this was quite an accomplishment, because I'm not a partisan hack But Please continue to show you're nothing but a crotchety old man that has nothing in his life other than spouting the ignorant talking points of the grifters that confirm your pre-existing bias , behind your keyboard (probably still running windows 98. You're the internet equivalent of the old man yelling at kids to get off his yard, both sad and amusing at the same time. At least very entertaining when I come on the rare times I'm not living in the real world. You should try it.1 point

The government has spent a ton of money on social programs like the CERB and universal dental, pharma, daycare etc to help people and increase economic equality, but it hasn't been enough to counteract the crime problems. I think recent economic pressures, notably housing inflation and general cost inflation, has contributed to the uptick in crime. We can try to help these problems to the extent possible via policy. At the end of the day, current homeowners need to be willing to reduce some of the extraordinary gains they've seen in their home equity the last 10 years, but they don't seem to support that. Otherwise rents and mortgages will remain near crisis levels. We also don't need to become a police state to have effective law and order and proper accountability for criminals so that they are unable or at least less likely to harm the public. I don't think it's an either/or situation. I think we also need to be more selective on the immigrants we allow into Canada. There's no issue with educated/skilled immigrants capable of earning good incomes (we can debate the numbers), but when you allow certain people into the country whose low skills/education condemn them to low incomes you are going to see an increase in crime. The areas with the highest crime in the cities i've lived in have been dominated by low income immigrants (typically refugees). They should be safely resettled in countries that more align with their income earning potential instead of making our cities poorer and less safe. Some refugees can do fine here and should be allowed to stay.1 point

You just can't help with the racism, can you? What was legal about what happened at the southern border? Asylum claims must come at the first country of departure. Let's say you leave Panama and come to Costa Rica. That's where you apply for asylum. But if you fly from Panama to the US you can apply in the US. What was really happening at the US is that the Biden admin invented procedures that don't exist to do things that aren't legal. As a result, we know that thousands (if not millions) of illegal aliens received SSNs, registered to vote and voted. We know millions used Medicaid, SCHIP and housing resources that were for American citizens, and we know thousands of them broke multiple federal laws even after admission (to include, but not limited to: rape, murder, trafficking, and selling drugs). So, I'll ask again, what was legal about what happened at the southern border? Receipts: Biden's 'catch and release' border policy struck down by US judge How many migrants are receiving Social Security numbers? How non-citizens are getting voter registration forms across the US — and how Republicans are trying to stop it How Undocumented Immigrants Sometimes Receive Medicaid Treatment 5 Key Facts About Immigrants and Medicaid1 point

Carney is still a left wing ideologue. He talked like a red tory during the election to trick people into voting for him but at the end of the day he's still a woke social justice loser. Of course he's going to side with the terrorists, just like ilhan omar and the crew. And the palestinians in canada will actually attack him, while the jews will not. Turns out “elbows up” means reducing tariffs on American imports to near zero. Despite all the rhetoric from Mark Carney and the Liberals, a new report shows that Canada has effectively eliminated tariffs on most goods. Oxford Economics, a global advisory firm, looked into the matter and found tariffs are nullified by exemptions and suspensions to effectively mean the tariffs are either gone or near zero in most cases. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/politics/lilley-carney-dropped-most-tariffs-the-day-after-meeting-trump/ar-AA1EVzpu?cvid=c987a88a9b764428b91bc4a7c1b20089&ocid=bingnews Most are gone except for groceries.
