I have always said that wise lefties would push for conservative gov'ts federally and left wing ndp gov'ts provincially or at the city level. Absolutely, I can understand that. I liked a lot of older music as well. But I didn't like much of what my grandfather listened to. I was a 90s teen, but I listened to mostly 60s and 70s music back then. But I was a minority. What stands out to me now is how much more common it is for kids to be into music that is 40 - 50 years old. I think a lot of it is that as far as the music industry is concerned rock n roll is dead. Or just any kind of band music is dead. I mean of course it still exists but it's very indie. A lot of kids still love that raw powerful music.

I too work in IT. I can tell you from experience that offshore IT staff...mostly from India...is not only abhorrent to me as it steals jobs for local folks, but in my experience they need to do tasks at least twice in order to get it right.

I don't think so. If you do, then you must agree with the changes in social attitude that find significantly more support with younger folks.
