Canada’s oil industry is foreign owned and foreign controlled, mostly by Americans. They want cheap Canadian crude oil going to American refineries in polluted tax haven shit holes at the opposite end of the continent like like they have along Louisiana and Texas gulf coast and then selling it back to us at a premium. That’s what they want and they own the Alberta government so it’s what the Alberta government wants. This whole “America has enough oil” argument is also stupid. They’re not importing massive amounts of Canadian oil just to have a fun surplus that nobody uses. Plus Anyone who understands market basics understands that when you reduce supply, prices increase so even if somehow Canadian oil was just surplus, eliminating it will still jack up prices3 points

This was my first thought too. A reminder of his shameless sociopath behavior to spin any deadly accident into a low tier political point. And the point is so ridiculously dumb that it seems like he's deliberate trolling the victims so as to grab media attention for himself.3 points

The reality is that folks on the left almost exclusively use this feature to hide from people who consistently call them out for the lies they post or other bad arguments. In my case, DUI got tired of me destroying his lies, posting links and evidence to back it up, so he ran away.3 points

Claims it was small donations. But we know there are investigations into these groups who were taking large sums of cash and dividing it into smaller donations to meet FEC standards while using phony names. Sad2 points

Fake news fools the usual gullible cultists again. 1) Biden did not lower any FAA safety standards for any woke DEI policies 2) Trump didn’t rectify any of rhe no -existent safety standards 3) logically an aircraft accident could only DISPROVE # 2 not prove it 4) So far the FAA has not be blamed the Army helicopter flown by two white men was not where it was supposed to be. 5) For anyone who follows aviation topics , the US air traffic control system is notoriously underfunded with outdated analog technology because congress never approves appropriations from the national aviation trust fund which are intended for that purpose. I majored in Aeronautical Science at a US university and literally DAY ONE of my freshman year that was a topic of discussion in class…back in 1997 and it wasn’t even a new topic then.2 points

I forgot what the first 4 years were like with the TDS madness from the folks on the left. One unhinged lie and rant after the other every day. LOL2 points

My sentiment exactly, but milage varies and it might just be me. Half of my extended family is native and that middle school "moment of silence for unceded territories" thing usually gets an eye roll from them. It's like really? Who do you think you're kidding here? You'd be paying rent to the band if you really felt that way about it. - Funny how It always seems to be non natives that are into this stuff, at least from what I've seen. I get exactly the same feeling from those road signs marked "Highway of Heroes." I say give that old gunner the hearing aids he needs and stop jerking him around... guess what you can do with the damn sign? - Funny how it always seems to be non veterans that are into this stuff, at least from what I've seen.2 points

Yeah, much as I hate to say it the simple fact the matter is there's only one way to deal with a bully. It's going to cause Canada a lot of pain and that's unfortunate. We're not in good shape right now after 10 years of liberals and this is the last thing we needed. But there's no getting around it. Caving to him will just make sure that he brings the same thing out every 5 minutes whenever he wants something and we can't have that2 points

Here's a review of Dr John Campbell for anyone interested. Reviews of content from John Campbell https://science.feedback.org/reviewed-content-author/john-campbell/ Science Feedback is a publication verifying the credibility of influential information and media coverage that claims to be scientific in fields that are particularly prone to misunderstandings and misinformation such as climate change and health. It is operated by a not-for-profit organization. Be warned, Science Feedback goes into great investigative detail and it is not for the faint of heart.2 points

Time to hit the states with both barrels. If Trump carves out oil we slap a punishing export tariff on it. LCBO is one the largest purchasers of booze in the entire world, get the province ls to band together and take all US booze off the shelf in every province. Make the Americans squeal Funny how Republicans were screaming about inflation under Biden and now that inflation camr back to normal levels under Biden, Republican/ want to do the most inflationary thing imaginable and suddenly inflation isn’t important to them. Nothing matters except indulging the ignorant whims of Dictator On Day One2 points

Wonderful to see you sticking up for your country, especially when an unhinged leader puts tariffs on us for no legitimate reason.2 points

As a retired airline pilot I'm used to stupid opinions every time there is an accident but in the 60 years since I entered the industry I have never heard one so sickeningly politicized. It really is disgusting and if one of those victims was a family member of mine, I would want to put Trumps head through a plate glass window. The man is a disgusting piece of shit.2 points

We now have 10 years of consistent evidence Trump supporters don’t care about facts or reality. It’s not even that so many are fooled into believing falsehoods, they just don’t care if it’s false or not. Truth is irrelevant. Facts are irrelevant. Realiity is irrelevant. Even many of their beliefs are irrelevant. It’s about unquestioning Worship of Trump, period.2 points

The only thing this government has been defending for 9 years is Justin's image. Its a party of hyper-sensitive wimps and losers who lay on their backs to show their bellythe moment they think someone might get offended. Anyone who thinks like this is a loser. That's a lot of the left now unfortunately, trying to turn everyone everyone into simps like them. Now the party is getting a makeover from some equally wealthy Goldman Sachs schmuck who loves taking credit for our recession recovery that had nothing to do with him and everything to do with Alberta sitting on gobs of oil when global prices had skyrocketed. Another crowned prince for the Liberals to delude themselves over.2 points

I know that communism sounds sexy to young, uneducated, unintelligent, rubes like yourself, but it's actually a quite selfish and destructive force, and people as old as Bernie Sanders, Wes Walz and Patrisse Cullors should know that by now. RFK is a hero to American citizens, but that makes him a "traitor" to the sellouts on Capitol Hill. They LOVE their big pharma bucks. They love all their lobbyist loot. The last thing a first-term congressman or senator wants is to see the gravy train stop right after they finally get their snouts in the trough, and the last thing that 4-house-Bernie, gated-mansion-Pelosi et al want to see is their illegitimate earnings exposed.1 point

It's been a mystery to me from the beginning. For a lot of this of you didn't need to be an expert in order to have basic questions like: If spike protein toxicity is a thing, and lipid nano particles are a thing too, then what about systemic distribution.... wouldn't that be a thing? Well ya, it is a thing and we knew it was a thing in 2021 when everyone was still saying "it all stays in the deltoid". So what are the long term effects of this distribution and what about rouge mutations to the original S protein and inflammation effects over time, especially if it passes the BBB into the brain? I have no clue, guess we'll find out eh? I'm sure glad I didn't take it though. Here's a recent video on this from about a month ago, it reviews a number of studies for anyone interested: If you refuse to watch it, or it's too long, or there are too many big words then just stick with Herb's elegant Big Mac theory below... just be sure to add a few duhs and LMAO's in your analysis so as to differentiate yourself from those ignorant hyenas.1 point

So far despite all the right wing ranting about DEI resulting in unqualified and incompetent people being hired the only evidence ACTUAL unqualified and incompetent people getting hired is the clown car of grifters, scumbags, and hacks Trump appointed to his administration.1 point

US airlines had gone 16 years without a fatal crash until Wednesday night, clearly the woke DEI people were doing something right but the second Trump starts canning people this happens. I can't wait to see how things go when all the competent people in important public safety roles are replaced by 19-year old incel groypers.1 point

You put your faith in Trump. As much as I believe this faith is misguided, I get it. It suits your ideological predisposition (or should I say distortion?). But a rational mind will look at Trump, at all he has said and done, and come to the logical conclusion that he is not in it for the many, but for the few. Fear-mongering suggests unsubstantiated conclusions. I prefer to consider it being realistic.1 point

Yeah, funny thing a good friend of mine who is somewhat older even than I am grew up in an orphanage in Quebec. When he hears about the conditions in the first nations schools back in the day he says they were identical to what he lived through as well. The orphanages were run by the catholic church of course. Yet the first nations would have us believe they are the only group that ever experienced anything negative in the history of Canada1 point

Because it’s a gross misrepresentation of both the intent behind the Residential Schools and what actually happened. No bodies have been found. There was abuse and conditions could be crowded. Well abuse was in all schools. These schools were created by progressives like you, in the name of providing literacy and a leg up. Yes assimilation was part of the deal as it is in virtually all countries today. We had flags at half mast for a year and false claims of genocide. Many churches were burned down and our federal leaders said it was justified. The false impressions have stuck internationally and for most Canadians. The people who were involved with these schools and some like Ryerson who had indirect involvement are all painted as evil. It’s wrong, but this is the story we’re teaching students and the story that’s used to hold the current Canadian population hostage financially for events they didn’t cause. The descendants of the Irish Catholics who couldn’t own property or vote in Britain aren’t asking for reparations, but they don’t count as much as the Indigenous. In Canada today some groups have special status and are considered more deserving than others.1 point
