In todays sexual climate, it is not. It could very well be someone that "claims" to be female. Anyway, in my opinion, the Conservatives made a real stupid choice when they denied Rona Ambrose the opportuntiy. She would have beat Trudeau and made a good PM.3 points

If Justin Trudeau was hoping that this budget would give him a bump in the poles, he has utterly failed. If anything the tories have picked up some ground and are pulling at an all-time high. Meanwhile it's pretty obvious that the majority of Canadians who are paying attention hate the budget. https://www.ipsos.com/en-ca/tories-hold-steady-19-point-lead-over-liberals https://www.ipsos.com/en-ca/tories-hold-steady-19-point-lead-over-liberals A huge percent in the latest poll said they would never vote liberal: When asked which party they would never consider voting for in the next election, almost a third said Liberals (32%). That is a very large hunk of the population who is effectively completely lost to you as a party. Usually you see it around somewhere like 25%. Obviously for every party there's going to be a certain percentage of people who will never vote for you, but the liberals have turned off so many people that it becomes exceptionally hard to win. I think that Justin has been facing a lot of pressure to either get the poll numbers up or either step down or call an election before things get worse. I think he thought this budget would give him a bump and maybe they could go to the polls based on that. But he has severely misread the room. And he is quickly running out of road. I suspect this puts an end to the idea of a spring election, which means he's got a fall election or next spring and then that's it, it gets decided for him.2 points

We've always talked politics at family gatherings. 55 years ago Gran brought up the subject of That Goddam Trudeau decriminalized homosexuality. Dad quickly replied: Yeah and now just watch, they're gonna breed like flies! And I say he was right, now they're all over the place, right in your face like they have some right to exist! Just like Daddy, with my hand over my face chuckling. Trolling to see who takes the bait.1 point

Trump can speak freely for hours at a time with less gaffes than Biden will have while answering a single pre-scripted ice-cream question. Trump can walk up and down stairs. Trump doesn't talk to drapes, or shake hands with imaginary people. Trump doesn't fall off of bikes. Trump doesn't shuffle through his notes to see who gets to ask the next "question" and then read the answer to it off of the same page. Biden is one heartbeat per minute ahead of Weekend at Bernie's.1 point

A couple months before my ex-hubby passed form the heart attack, he had visited me and told me he has not felt good since he got the jabs for work. He mentioned the heart attack studies and said, "Those jabs will likely give me a heart attack." At the time, I told him not to talk like that, then a few months later, he died of a heart attack. I'm furious for him. He knew what was going to kill him. The doctor told us that his heart misfired but that they had no explanation for why - no blockages, nothing to indicate any heart distress.1 point

Sorry, you may not be into politics, but "soft coup" is a well known term, and it certainly is a coup. And no, it is not an opinion. There's not a question. He didn't hypothetically pressure Mike Pence to unconstitutionally appoint him President. He didn't hypothetically send fake electors to provide cover. He actually did it, deliberately and on purpose, a plan documented in writing.1 point

Man are you ever one dumb stoopid bunny. It has been Bidumb that has been trying to destroy the American constitution and end democracy in Amerika ever since his first day in office. Trump in all of his rallies has always shown that he is pro-American, unlike Bidumb who is and has shown just how anti-American he really is. So, maybe you can tell me as to what the Bidumb regime has done to make America great other than create a more and bigger surveillence state like he has done already? Over to you, lefty boy.1 point

they WERE NOT SERIOUS about measured illegal immigration. Nobody is except woke border erasing cultists. ZERO illegal immigrants needs to be the goal, NOT UP TO 5,000 per day. Democrats are liars and they need to be told to f*ck off, like they were on this piece of shit proposal. Besides, Trump will fix this problem when he returns to the WH next January, so we only have to put up with this bullshit for a few more months.1 point

Is being obtuse in your responses your big schtick here, like, do you really think that will win a discussion? It just comes across as dishonest and lazy. You don't need to see someone trying to get past a chain to understand they have formed a chain that blocks students. You can also easily google this or if you pay any attention to the news at all, see students are getting arrested for blocking students... "At Yale, university and New Haven police officers removed the protesters camped outside the Schwarzman Center on Monday and blocked entry to Beinecke Plaza. " https://www.cbsnews.com/news/yale-students-demonstrators-detained-amid-pro-palestinian-protest/ Yet again... if you pay attention to any of the garbage they are chanting: Call me crazy, that seems pretty obvious... So, do you have any other lazy stupid comments for me?1 point

🙄You clearly didn't put much thought into ^^this post. Were the BLM protests (a small fraction of which turned violent) related in any way to an election? No? Then of course one would not expect an election to trigger a repeat. Was the Jan 6 insurrection related to an election? Yes. Then it's reasonable to expect an election--with the exact same candidate and supporters--to potentially trigger a repeat. Try reasoning instead of reacting. It's not that hard.1 point

All those things are part of the reason housing is unaffordable for the average Canadian now. All of those things could be examined in depth to see if they were really necessary or are they to build a massive bureaucracy and tax and charge Canadians to death. However, that is not the main issue. We are referring to what would fit the definition of Socialism. That would be more to do with all the social programs and government departments that seem to be growing with no end and all the government intervention in the economy. All of this is paid for by confiscating the private money of citizens in various ways. Government is growing at an astronomical rate. It increased 40% in size since Trudeau took office in 2015. For some reason, every need of every person and everything that costs money is now the responsibility of government. What changed in society that the individual is no longer the responsibility of the person himself? I can understand support for people who are handicapped, ill, or seniors in need of care, but everyone else who is capable of working should be supporting themselves. However government has made it unaffordable for healthy people to support themselves. That is a disaster.1 point

You just asserted the same thing again. Here, let me repost what I wrote, and maybe you can try again and do better next time in your response: "The lack of support for that particular bill doesn't mean there was no support for action. The House did pass comprehensive Immigration last year... which died in the Senate controlled by Democrats." Lack of support for that particular border bill != no support for any border bill. This is pretty basic logic stuff and your speculation isn't proof anyone lied.1 point

It is understandable why you would try to distance yourself from the basic premise and say it is not relevant. Nobody wants to be seen supporting or associated with something evil, in this case Socialism.1 point

Well we can't actually. There's a limit to how many we can build or more specifically the rate at which we can build them. We can't build a million new homes next year. That's beyond us. And yet we're bringing in a million new people. That means the demand for homes will be higher than the supply. And that drives up the price. Well, you started off okay but you kind of screwed it up at the end there. It's not exactly that immigration is the problem per se. The actual problem is that our population is growing faster than our ability to provide homes and medical services for them. If we could build homes fast enough and increase our other infrastructure fast enough it wouldn't be a problem. But we can't, ,and all of our population growth right now is from immigration. So it's not crazy to say that immigration is sort of the problem. As long as immigration and population growth does not exceed our ability to provide for them it's not an issue. Speculation by investors is largely meaningless. They're buying homes and renting them. Which means if someone bought that home and lived in it there would be less rental spaces for the people who couldn't afford homes and needed to rent. Renting is already severely unaffordable due to a lack of rental spaces. So if you cut that down even more you're still hurting people. Whether it's a foreign speculator or a local person who owns the property it doesn't make any difference, if there are not enough properties then the prices are unaffordable. The only way to fix that is to build more homes or have slower population growth. Right now for a variety of reasons it's very hard to build more homes. Therefore reducing population growth to a number that we can accommodate makes sense. In the long term building more homes is the solution and the government will have to focus on that. But those two factors under control for an investment no longer becomes a problem and you don't get speculation buying. So at the end of the day it always comes back to the same thing: We need to build more homes and reduce our population growth to match what we can build. Absolutely nothing else matters. Fix those two issues and the problem goes away, fail to fix those issues and nothing else you do will help.1 point

Do you realize that all you ever do here is peddle senseless CNN conspiracy BS? FYI Russia didn't have to seize Crimea if Biden and Obama weren't trying to shove NATO up their ass. How does a Russian naval base inside of a NATO country work, genius? Did you think that the Russians would just say "I guess we have to abandon our naval base now that Ukraine is part of NATO"? Just stop talking now you f'ing id10t. You make me want to vomit. I honestly understand that you want NATO in Ukraine. Good for you, I guess? But that doesn't come without a fight, stupid. AKA, a war. You can even see that there's a war, it's on your TV screen. You just like to pretend that it started out of the blue. The Ukrainians and Russians are bitter enemies now, thanks to the ever-divisive Demonrat party. All those evil pieces of shit do is create racial division in America, create hateful division between voters, start wars around the world, and screw over low-income Americans by bringing in tens of millions of illegal immigrant to compete with them for jobs.1 point

Your own cites say they're protesting the government for not bringing the hostages back, not for being mean to Gazans. The last poll I saw said Israelis feel the government isn't bombing Gazans ENOUGH. The Oct 7 attack was the fears of all Israelis for the last seventy years brought out into the light. They've lived in a small country all their lives with the knowledge that every day there are people all along their borders in every direction willing to die to try to get over, under, around or through their defenses just to find a Jew and kill him or her. and Oct 7 wasn't just a couple of terrorists but thousands of people, some of them not even Hamas, but civilians who saw what was happening and eagerly joined in. There is little sympathy among them for Palestinians right now.1 point
