  1. It's the other way around. Antifa is basically a militia for the Dems.

  2. Thanks God! https://www.cp24.com/news/open-for-business-doug-ford-set-to-announce-plans-for-gradually-reopening-ontario-1.5299691 Hopefully in this month can pass without a serious spike in numbers again. Once the weather improves, cases will plateau like they did last year and hopefully continued vaccination will deal with this over the Spring and Summer. This past month has made me somewhat nostalgic for the relative freedom we experienced over the Summer.

  3. There are people like Nadler who deny that Antifa is a real organized group, people like Kamala Harris that bail BLM/Antifa rioters out of jail, Dem AGs who don't let seek convictions against rioters, people in the Democrat party and on CNN who applaud the actions of BLM and Afntifa regularly, people in the Dem party who called the armed takeover of a police precinct and 7 blocks of sovereign American soil "a summer of love", etc. Honestly, when a terrorist group takes over American soil, the Dems should call that a crime. Period. Definitely not the summer of love. They had a duty to protect their citizens within that area and they left the criminals there to rule over them. If the Proud Boys took over 7 square blocks, including the area where you live, and shops were being smashed in and looted, people were being assaulted, what would you think if your mayor and governor/premier called it "the summer of love" instead of sending the police to save local residents and businesses? How could you not be offended by that? Wouldn't you consider that mayor a criminal? Can you show me an example of where the GOP actively supported crimes like that or do you want this topic to go away now?

  11. Biden has said little in hopes that they just go away. They're not going to away...so...get those riot cops ready. But the Democrat politicians have been quite vocal in their support...or are you going to play the game where you play coy about this support and enabling?

  12. Right...except for the last several years when they could be used as a bludgeon against Trump and his supporters. Now that the Joe Biden dictatorship is installed, the Sturmabteilung have less use and are often an impediment to the Dems. Now it is time for The Night of the Long Knives...

  13. That all sounds pretty compelling, but: 1) the media should be working for the people and they're not, because they lie so much. Doing things like - calling M Brown "The Gentle Giant" when they knew he committed a violent robbery and then wrestled with a cop to steal his gun, actually IS effectively being the ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE. That turn of phrase/fake narrative helped to rile a lot of people, which translated into a lot of extra violence and deaths 2) Trump could block media just like Trudeau blocks media. He didn't have to answer to Jim Acosta even once, just like Trudeau won't let Rebel Media members stand on the sidewalk near his events. 3) Trump wasn't lying about CNN. I hve proven CNN to be liars here dozens of times. No one here will even admit to trusting CNN, or watching them regularly. Why is that? They all know how fake it is.

  15. That's nice. I watched as BLM & ANTIFA supporters attacked people, burned down buildings, looted stores and violently rioted continuously for months. That you're willing to look the other way for all of that is more your issue than mine.

  16. Socialism does not work, there are too many examples. And pure, unrestrained capitalism does not work for large part of population, sometimes the majority of population, many examples. There may not be an easy answer, because it can be in the details: who writes the rules of capitalism, and how, how are they implemented and by who, etc.

  18. Ever since the republics of Athens and Rome, the West has been a champion, albeit an imperfect one, of individual rights and freedom of thought. This has led to such things as the rule of law, democracy, capitalism and science - no mean feats by any yardstick. Disagreements over how to tackle our many environmental challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss etc. and the more trivial one of PC culture should be seen in a much longer context of extraordinary contributions to human advancement. Certain aspects of religion have been overtaken by events but it still has value as an expression of our culture and norms. The Western model continues to offer something worth emulating to the world.

  21. BTW: my US office sent this up today: https://jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/a-cure-for-covid-israeli-team-claims-new-drug-has-96-success-rate/ while we have been busy giving China the inside track on vaccine sales to Canada, the UK started from same place and has full scale production rolling along just fine. Meanwhile Israel has been doing the work to develop treaments - one that appears to be effective. Instead of locking down our borders, we have spent our time and money importing as much infectious agent as our porous borders could handle. Instead of putting money into vaccine research and production or treatment, we seem to be happy just to pay everyone to stay home and watch Ms. Meng wander around from mansion to mansion. Meanwhile our fearless leaders watch from their comfy, warm vacation hideaways.

  22. Or perhaps I heard it differently than you, my friend. Makes me think that certain things that are important, mind you that are hard to get done can easily get undone by the next flip of ideological government. Because in democracy we sway to fro. However if things swing too much, the whole kit and kaboodle could flip right over.

  23. This isn't the only example of Dems chumming around with Farrakhan, and Farrakhan is as bad a racist and anti-Semite as you'll find anywhere. This pic isn't from the '80s either. Farrakhan was a well-known racist and anti-Semite for a really long time before this picture was taken. The timing of this photo is like if you had your picture taken with Epstein the day before he went to jail. The cat was waayyyyyyy outta the bag. Keep in mind that Derek Sloan is just on the hook for receiving a $131 donation from a racist, and he's been thrown out by O'Toole. Being in this photo is nothing like just accepting money and not noticing who it came from. Obama absolutely knew who he was with. I've known about Farrakhan's vile bigotry for a long time and I obviously don't follow US politics as closely as Obama. This is an example of Obama giving one of the biggest racists and anti-Semites in America an ear, and a big boost in popularity. The last thing on earth that Obama should be doing is supporting Farrakhan. It's inexcusable and disgusting. There's a reason this photo was hidden for so long. If this doesn't bug you then you must be an anti-Semite yourself, but to decent people this is an Obamination.

  24. She's free to say what she has. But Free Speech doesn't come without consequence. If the GOP doesn't want to embrace QANON they shouldn't be comfortable promoting a Representative that's part of the QANON train.

  25. The senator who defended residential schools. So? Oh I do understand that the only acceptable view is that residential schools were 'genocide' and that everyone who went to them was mistreated, abused or killed. I just don't believe any of that. Nor do I believe the founders of the residential school system intended harm. I also don't think it's a horrific crime to refuse to delete posts on her web site sent in by others who disagreed with the narrative.

  26. Trudeau's last defense crumbles. The message has been that we couldn't make the vaccine here, and had to rely on other countries who had vaccine production facilities. Well, guess what? According to the Canadian doctor working at Oxford who has been on the development team for the Astrazeneka vaccine, Britain had virtually no production facilities either. That didn't stop them. TORONTO -- Countries like Canada that are waiting for vaccine shipments amid an international shortage could have done more in the early days of the pandemic to boost their own domestic production capacity, according to a leading vaccine expert from the United Kingdom. Oxford University Regius professor of medicine Sir John Bell was responsible for overseeing the development of the Astrazeneca-Oxford COVID-19 vaccine, which is approved in the U.K. but not yet in Canada. He said the U.K. went to great lengths to scale up its production in early 2020 as vaccine trials began. “We started from nothing, and we're now pretty pleased that we're in pretty good shape. Lots of other countries decided that they would rely on others, and that perhaps has not proved to be the right strategy,” Bell told CTV’s Question Period in an exclusive interview with Evan Solomon airing Sunday. The U.K. was able to increase its vaccine manufacturing capabilities from “very close to zero” in a matter of 10 months, Bell said. The strategy was to repurpose existing manufacturing facilities elsewhere in the country to suit vaccine production. "They repurposed those, they transferred the technology to them, they learned how to scale up, they went through all the hard yards it takes to become a manufacturing facility,” he said. Well how about that? They set about to produce vaccines and were ready with ten months. And what did our government do? It signed a deal with CHINA to produce vaccines for us. And when China laughed in our faces then they were left scrambling after other vaccine production companies to sign deals long after every other western country had already done so. Israel was just about the first to sign up and have no vaccinated half of every adult citizen. Canada is under 2%. The UK is up over 12% https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/as-canada-awaits-vaccine-doses-relying-on-other-countries-is-the-wrong-approach-u-k-expert-1.5288416

  27. Who cares what everybody else thinks. Seriously. Wear it if you got it. If you don’t get sick, good on you. Everyone should be doing everything in their power to make sure they are protecting themselves and everyone else. If people are t taking the same precautions it puts others in danger, not just themselves. That’s the point people are missing. Their own selfishness and vanity is putting others at as much risk as themselves. What’s the saying “you’ll never know if you did too much, but you’ll certainly know if you didn’t do enough”. Why leave it to chance if you don’t have to.

  32. Trumpers already forgot that Burisma didn't do anything wrong, other than be the target of a failed smear campaign against Biden's son, leading to Trump's impeachment? 33. I don’t know if you visited the political prison section of Auschwitz-Birkenau, but the prisoners who were gassed there were mostly progressives in today’s terms. Whatever racism Churchill exclaimed, the reality of his work was to prevent the silencing and elimination of progressive thinkers and minorities. Racism by today’s standards was the prevailing viewpoint then and there were far fewer visible minorities in countries like Britain and Canada. It’s easy to criticize and overlook the achievements of past leaders because of their imperfection by today’s standards, but much of the privilege that today allows us to criticize derived from these leaders’ efforts. I’m not sure today’s leaders would have the grit and determination it takes to defend our current freedoms. The progressive posturing of people who never had to fight much for anything probably wouldn’t stand up to much under pressure of war. Just a guess.

  34. Joe Biden was inaugurated President, but I didn't watch the inauguration. I'm not a Joe Biden supporter. He didn't win because of me. I voted against him in both the primary and the election. I voted for Mike Bloomberg in the primary and Donald Trump in the election. I hope that Biden will be a one term President. I do not like Joe Biden. If this offends some readers, I apologize. But I have to be honest. I'm not a Joe Biden supporter.
