  1. A school has 300-2,000 people in a concentrated area, few of which will wash their hands twice in a 7 hr span. They're all inside where UV light can't help contain the virus, and they are constantly touching each other, getting sweaty running around, etc. It's THE best virus spreading ground on the planet aside from a crowded subway train/station. A 100+ sq km provincial park, out in the sun, where people literally never come in physical contact with each other, is not a risk, even at the height of a pandemic, as long as people wear masks. Opening a school before a park is the height of stupidity.

  2. So the Trudeau government is set to ban a bunch of macho-looking rifles in Canada, even though they really don't do anything a lot of other rifles do, and even though everyone involved in policing recognizes that almost all illegal firearms come across the US border anyway. The cost will be $250 billion up front and another $150 million a year for for years. But we all know it will be a lot higher. It always is. And the reason for this billion dollars is not really a reduction in crime or the illegal use of firearms, it's to buy popularity for the Liberal party among urban progressives who know nothing about firearms except they don't like them. The government is exploiting the Nova Scotia tragedy for crass political gain despite the fact the killer had no license and used illegal weapons which can be easily obtained because the government refuses to do anything about weapons smuggling, or the illegal sale, purchase or ownership of firearms. Remember this government passed more gun control legislation in 2018 and still hasn't' implemented it because the point was to be seen to be passing the legislation. They know the legislation won't do a thing anyway, but they got the good publicity for passing it, which is all this style over substance government ever cares about. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-ottawas-gun-ban-to-target-ar-15-and-the-weapon-used-during/#comments

  6. First it was stay at home. Now they are saying that everyone should get out and not stay at home. I guess that they know that summer is coming and they must know that no one is going to stay home for weeks in the summer time, especially if they have children. So now they are telling us that we all should get out there in the sunshine and fresh air and go get some exercise. I was watching Tucker on FOX NEWS last night and it was mentioned that they are now saying that most of the China virus victims were from older people who were told to stay indoors, and do not go outside. Maybe this is why most of the victims of this China virus were older people because they had been told by their politicians?? and the media?? to stay indoors, and do not go outside because they had been put into a state of panic and fear that if they do go outside they may get the bug and they may die. This whole pile of nonsense will soon start to unravel itself, and in another month or two at most we will all have a better picture of just how much our dear leaders and the media have made asses of us all like stay away from provincial parks out in the boonies. The only thing that worries me now is what are they going to do and plan for us all when the flu season comes around in the fall? Will we all have to go thru this hell again and live with the same old bull shit like what is happening today? Will the people say enough already, and never again? After everything pretty much gets back to normal will we the people want to go back to those virus days once again where we will once again be told to stay at home and practice social distancing? If they do allow themselves to go thru the same thing again, then we will all know that the majority of Canadians are all really nuts in the head. No one in their right minds want to go back to these present day bad old days. Just saying.

  7. Whatever the size of the crowd was, it was still massive and quite impressive. On Trump's inauguration day it did not rain. That lying pos leftist liberal democrat is a prime example of what the leftist liberal MSM is all about. Most of those so called reporters and journalists on TV news channels like CNN, MSNBC and NBC are now all just a bunch of lying actors and are being paid to lie every day about Trump. The MSM have become the scum of the news industry. It's hard to believe that those MSM outlets mentioned are still operating today. This must just show that they are more dumb ass Americans out there then what we ever thought was out there and who must be watching and helping their viewer statistics. Closing down parks that are way out in the boonies just shows us all as to just how most of our buffoon politicians really are thinking these days, and what we can see now going on thru their pea brain heads every day. This has nothing to do with the virus. It has more to do with control. These politicians seem to feel that they are the boss, and we the people are their slaves to play with and bully around as they please now. Fines like $880.00 - $1200.00 for violating some stupid made up ass rule is obscene and downright playing dirty pool. Geez, why aren't those that commit real crimes not slapped with heavier fines for doing worse than what some poor dad who took his kids out for some fresh air and sunshine and getting them some exercise. How dare any politician want to fine anyone with such huge hefty unbelievable fines. It's downright criminal to say the least. We are now being controlled by a bunch of politician bullies who have forgotten that it is we the people that are their bosses and not them. I doubt that any of we the people would demand that if they were caught breaking some rule or bylaw that we would want our politicians to access us heavy fines like what they are issuing out to we the people today. No one will ever convince me that our politicians are there to serve we the people. They are there to serve themselves and to try and push their own liberal and socialist programs and agendas that most people never asked for. Lucky for those politicians that most Canadians will not say anything nor do most of them even really care as to what they do, and sadly, our dear comrade leader politicians know this all to well that Canadians do not have much of a back bone to want to fight the government. Aw well, what more can be said, eh?

  8. That's the Fed's purview at this point. Cite the infighting we're seeing in the US between governors and 45. DoFo and JT are aggressive political rivals. JT talked about him all the time in the October election. But both have buried the hatchet for the good of the country. You don't see either shit talking each other when they have daily press briefings. Which they still do, unlike Trump who turned them into political rallies and hocked bunk science and unhelpful treatments.

  9. are there still people who believe that a manufacturing sector that employs millions of people is even possible in a 21st century country like the US? i think we're talking about facilities that are manned with robots as machines are the only thing capable of competing with $2/day Chinese labor. no, the days of good paying manufacturing jobs are over in places like the US and Canada. success is now with up the ladder jobs that require more than a high school education. and this is where the US really sucks because few people have affordable access to such education. education is a privatized machine in the US.

  10. Thank you for bringing an academic point of view to this, myself on this topic of communism emotion takes over and it creeps over into what I write. I am so sick of people telling me about the good of communism but they were not there or they did not have families to tell them the tragedies: to wait in line 2 hours for one egg, to come from school and to be careful what you say because your landlord will report you and you end up in a prison, to come home from work as a teacher, tired but you open the fridge and is no food because someone decided to enforce "the equality between the classes". Capitalism with its flaws provides even for our poorest which it should because we have to value humanity, there's nobody that dies of hunger on the contrary look here what capitalism does: San Francisco gives free drugs, alcohol to homeless quarantining in hotels. Where is the money coming from ? From Karl Marx ? "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"

  11. Last week Ford said he'd need to see 2-4 weeks of improvement before moving to another stage of opening. I think he's changed his tune. Yesterday he announced that stores with their own outdoor entrance can open with Curbside pickups. Garden Centres can open up and the LCBO is going back to longer hours. I think this Curbside pickup approach may be a good approach going forward. It's better than waiting a week for a delivery and you don't have to go into a store and . . . you know. . . be around people. Let's hope these cautious steps don't lead to a spike, like I'm expecting in the US.

  12. I don’t know where to begin with you. The Catholic Church never broke away from itself. The Church fathers formalized the cannon of scripture and the Catechism at various synods. I’m not here to get into those details, as I can already tell that your knowledge of them is biased and thin. You’re the one pointing to the supposed infallibility of Imams as something legitimate. Papal infallibility is a long-standing belief for Catholics, but it has often been doubted or questioned by Catholics. Again, believe what you will. I’m not here to debate the validity of faiths. With regard to Iran and other countries where the religious authority is essentially the state authority and democratic representation is weak, the courts are in the pockets of government, and rights aren’t enshrined (or if they are they are loosely interpreted or ignored), it should be no surprise that citizens are told how to live and controlled on the basis of the pronouncements of the religious authority. Some would say that’s like putting your society at the mercy of witch doctors. I wouldn’t say that, but I hope you see the danger in it. Leaders in organizations are people. There needs to be checks and accountability for authority.

  14. That's not true. Not even close. We don't actually have the right to free speech, as Queenmandy said, we don't have a right to firearms...or to defend ourselves. We don't vote on any actual policy issues like the US does. We don't actually vote on our Prime Minister. Trudeau has much greater control over the populous that the President does over his people. If you're thinking that Canadians have more rights and say in their gov't than americans, you're truly delusional.

  15. 1. Nazi Germany, the name is national SOCIALISM, you forgot to mention that aspect. It might work with university kids but not with me. Hitler was a socialist so he can also be added to those numbers, the only difference was that he wanted communism just for the Germans. Communism 2.0 version. 2. There is a difference between theory and practical use. I will share a story, my dad ran away during the communist era in Romania since the militia wanted to get him, when he had the interview with the Americans they asked him "how come when you grew up you did not fight against communism?". My dad replied: "did you read Das Kapital ? the theory is good but while I was growing up I matured and I realized that communism takes away human desire to succeed and that's why I am here to meet my potential". Anyways he liked Canada more for the same idea, to have freedom to meet his potential. I will add that Marx at one point was talking about sharing profit with the workers ?! Ok, but how about when is a risk factor, should the workers take the loss too ? When I am not too tired from work and have lots of time on my hand like Marx did, there are so many things I can analyze from Karl, a drunk that never produced a service in his life and a man with no roots that denied his Jewish origins with hatred and created so much anti-Semitism in the world to this day. 3. I would agree with you that capitalism is going the wrong direction, is true, it is becoming so monopolistic that it does risk to look like communism which is a few people on top and the rest at the bottom so for sure there has to be changes for the better otherwise we will have people like yourself with red flags in the streets going after private property.

  17. Plenty of mistakes and errors in this piece of crap legislation. Two Face Book chat groups are included in the ban as well as an American website. Almost all 12 gauge shotguns are now banned. It states that any firearm with a muzzle diameter of 20mm or more are banned. Well folks, a 12 gauge shotgun with interchangeable chokes comes in as being over that limit, so now they're banned. They also included a single shot bolt action rifle in it. Not to mention this kind of sheer utter stupidity, all these weapons pictured are on the banned list. What really pisses me off is that they didn't include main battle tanks, fighter bombers and various warships of different classes too. You don't need a tank to take down a deer after all.

  19. Let me be the first then. Well...not an outright denial but a denial of the implication of the OP question that there is a lot of racism in Canada. I think the "racist" slur is thrown around too much in too many spots where it doesn't actually apply. There' s the old "Islam" isn't a religion retort. Are you racist if you call the Coronavirus the "Kung Flu," or is that just a satirical term. How about if you call it the ChiCom virus? Are Chinese Communists a race now? If you repeat the saying 'it's OK to be white,' are you a racist now? Or is the person who objects to it. Then there's the 'racism of low expectations thing.' Who's the racist when the implication is you expect a minority to be judged by equal expectations to everybody and somebody calls you a racist for such a thought? Too many times the term 'racist' is thrown at somebody but it doesn't mean what it's supposed to mean. A more accurate definition now in many cases seems to be "You said something I disagree with and you need to shut up." It's more like when Antifa calls you a fascist. The term is slowly starting to lose its oomph.

Animals do kill each other of the same species all the time, and it is either over a female, or for leadership, or for turf. Sadly, some animals are no better than some human beings who will kill someone of their own human species.

Man not only did you studied the Liberal myth hand book you actually committed it to memory impressive...There is one problem though , semi auto hunting rifles, are more prevalent than bolt action or lever action....which are only slower by 10 seconds over 5 rounds....and get this .......ALL long barreled fire arms are restricted to holding 5 bullets at one time, anything else is illegal, subject to up to 2 years in jail , heavy fine, confiscation of your fire arms, perhaps your car....and restricted to own fire arms for a long period of time... As for animals not killing each other, than going to the zoo, have you ever been in the wild, I mean with wild animals....or perhaps watched the wild life channel on TV.... does all your meat come from Walmart..

  24. Just like the abortion debate has lost all sense of reason at both of the far ends of the spectrum, the gun debate lacks a lot of sense at both ends too. - Leftists are correct - a 30 round mag is not necessary, especially in Canada where armed militias aren't a part of the constitution. They haven't been for a long time though (if they ever were) and this round of legislation had nothing to do with that. - Leftists are correct that assault weapons should be illegal, and they already were, long before last Friday. Leftists never thought about the fact that when criminals know that people may or may not have guns in their homes, it makes them less likely to commit home invasions. If there were no guns in Canada then home invasion would be a huge problem. Basically any dude over 250 lbs with reasonable low body fat could go home to home with impunity, armed with just a bat. There are a lot of homes with just seniors, or just a woman and her kids, or a small guy from accounting who can't bench 100 lbs.... The fact that there are 10M homes in Canada with guns in them is a HUUUUUGE deterrent to home invasions.... far more than police. People never shoot home invaders here either. It's never necessary. No one ever wants to get into a gunfight so that they can steal or protect a tv. - Gun owners are right: the NS shooter had absolutely nothing to do with gun control laws. - Gun owners are right: legally-owned guns are an extremely low risk to Canadians, probably 20th on the chart of murder weapons. - Gun owners are right: there are lots of ways to kill a bunch of people, and truck attacks and bomb attacks have had far higher body counts than guns. Trudeau doesn't have a clue wtf is going on. He's just pandering to the group of people who were brainwashed by American propagandists (who probably have a far more reasonable case than our anti-gun crowd does).

  25. None of the banned weapons would even be in consideration for use by the Canadian military or any other military. Did you not read anything which has been written on this topic? They're just ordinary rifles with macho coverings. They can shoot 5 times before being reloaded, half as many as a hand gun. They do not have an automatic fire option, nor fittings for things like flash suppressors or bayonets. Characteristics The U.S. Army defines assault rifles as "short, compact, selective-fire weapons that fire a cartridge intermediate in power between submachine gun and rifle cartridges."[16] In this strict definition, a firearm must have at least the following characteristics to be considered an assault rifle:[2][3][4] It must be capable of selective fire. It must have an intermediate-power cartridge: more power than a pistol but less than a standard rifle or battle rifle, such as the 7.92×33mm Kurz, the 7.62x39mm and the 5.56x45mm NATO. Its ammunition must be supplied from a detachable box magazine.[5] It must have an effective range of at least 300 metres (330 yards). Rifles that meet most of these criteria, but not all, are technically not assault rifles. For example: Select-fire M2 Carbines are not assault rifles; their effective range is only 180 metres (200 yd).[17] Select-fire rifles such as the FN FAL battle rifle are not assault rifles; they fire full-powered rifle cartridges. Semi-automatic-only rifles like the Colt AR-15 are not assault rifles; they do not have select-fire capabilities. Semi-automatic-only rifles with fixed magazines like the SKS are not assault rifles; they do not have detachable box magazines and are not capable of automatic fire. Definitions and usage - assault weapon Main article: Assault weapons legislation in the United States Drawing from federal and state law definitions, the term assault weapon refers primarily to semi-automatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns that are able to accept detachable magazines and possess one or more other features.[2][10][11] Some jurisdictions define revolving cylinder shotguns as assault weapons.[12][13] Legislative definitions do not include fully automatic weapons, which are regulated separately as Title II weapons under federal law.[14][n 1] A key defining law was the now-defunct Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994.[14] At that time, the United States Department of Justice said, "In general, assault weapons are semiautomatic firearms with a large magazine of ammunition that were designed and configured for rapid fire and combat use."[3] Common attributes used in legislative definitions of assault weapons include: Semi-automatic firearm capable of accepting a detachable magazine[11][14] Folding or telescoping (collapsible) stock,[14] which reduces the overall length of the firearm[16] A pistol grip that protrudes beneath the action of the weapon[14] Bayonet lug,[14] which allows the mounting of a bayonet Threaded barrel, which can accept devices such as a flash suppressor, Suppressor,[14] compensator or muzzle brake Grenade launcher[14] Barrel shroud[14]

Assault weapons have been banned since before I was born, and I'm over 50. The "poll" that you linked to was irrelevant. No country sends their soldiers to war with semi-auto .556s with 7-round magazines. Not even one. 28. This issue is a lot like the abortion issue. It incites highly emotional responses based on preconceived values. 1. Trudeau did not explain how they came to the determination that the guns they put on their list (1,500) are ONLY purchased to kill people let alone are more deadly than the ones not on the list;2. Trudeau has not explained how the banning of the 1,500 long guns he chose, prevent people from taking other long guns and re-calibrating them to be as dangerous if not more dangerous than the ones he banned;3. Trudeau has not explained how banning any long gun prevents illegal ones from being purchased and used in crimes. Most of us may dislike guns. Its not the issue. Personal dislike is not how we base a law. That is far too subjective. This initiative was done to score brownie points and exploit a tragedy for Trudeau-the timing of the announcement makes that crystal clear. Most people debating this issue can not explain what an assault rifle is. Any rifle is a weapon. Most people use the word assault meaning rapid fire. Rapid fire or ability to be rapid fire in itself does not determine whether a rifle is a assault or non assault rifle and the fact Trudeau uses the term assault shows he hasn't a damn clue what a rifle is let alone what kind of rapid fire rifles are dangerous. I hate laws made by knee jerk emotional feel good fear responses. Good laws mean properly defining what it is you are doing and not pronouncing subjective stereotypes of weapons. No I do not think hand guns should be allowed outside gun clubs. I worry about police responding on routine traffic stops and domestic conflict charges with weapons yes. Yes I do want weapons regulated. However I did unlike Trudeau listen and read to what hunting associations, gun club associations and certain others with expertise in weapons have said. I also defer to people who know about the actual weapon it is we speak of. The tragedy in Nova Scotia, in Montreal, will NOT be prevented by simply banning certain kinds of weapons. The issue is deep and is part of a more complex issue as to who SHOULD own any weapon. Rural people who depend on hunting to eat and protect themselves from rabid animals need their rifles as a necessity. I have not heard sufficiently from Trudeau to indicate he even knows what a rifle is let alone an assault one to take him seriously. I do not want specific military weapons to be able to be purchased by citizens so do most gun club owners and hunting associations and those supporting guns on this thread. That is not the issue. Its how you define those specific weapons and even then banning them is wishful thinking in terms of thinking it stops them from being obtained illegally. Illegal trafficking of weapons is the issue. If you make something illegal, sometimes that makes it easier to engage in and sell, i.e, liquor. Liquor is as deadly as weapons in the wrong hands. We tried banning it. Didn't work. So what we really need to address is how to control ILLEGALLY OBTAINED weapons. As for screening suitable owners of rifles, good luck. You ask me the entire homo sapiens species is deranged and should not have anything sharp or pointed. Where do you want to start to control us and how? Easier said than actually done in practice.

I'm a law and order type. I'd love to have a billion dollars to go after the street gangs and those who sell them firearms. But instead we're going to buy back a bunch of rifles that spend most of their time in someone law abiding citizen's gun safe. Whooppee. Canada's gun violence is mostly coming from ethnic street gangs and natives. It's not based on gun laws. Our gun laws were far, far weaker in the 1960s, but we had a lower homicide rate.

The NS shooter obtained his guns without a legal fire arms permit, in other words he purchased one in the USA and smuggled across the border, and the other he got some where in Canada once again an illegal purchase....so please tell me how banning these wpns for legal gun owners is going to prevent these types of people from killing others....or do you think that criminals obey the gun law and the gun restrictions... What they are doing is punishing the law abiding citizens to whom have obeyed the law in every aspect, because someone decided to break the law pick up some illegal wpns and kill some people.... does that make any sense to you...i'm not sure what else I can say....except take 5 mins and read about our nations fire arms policies and restriction....it might put your mind at ease....you also might see how stupid this banning thing really is...

  33. Everything China has exhibited to the world shows it as being far more vicious and brutal to its own people than the US has ever dreamed of doing. Further, while the US once threw its weight around more freely throughout the world, particularly in the third world, they were restrained by a free press and democratic values. Their actions abroad were subject to being reported back home, making the voters unhappy and giving ammunition to the other party. China faces no such restraint. It has total control over its media and no opposition politicians. It can threaten, bully and overthrow local governments all its wants without hesitation. Which is probably part of the reason why they're building a bunch of aircraft carriers, to project their military strength abroad. It is already bribing government leaders into signing on for government loans which can't be paid back, then seizing ports and airports in those countries as recompense. And a government willing to roll tanks over its own students is not going to be the least bit restrained in doing it to other nations and their people.

  34. The fact they had to reach back 30 years ago, says a lot in these new ambitions, not to mention as the vice PM as said she linked domestic abuse to assault wpns as well , abuse of women and children all linked to this country having assault looking wpns…. Bill Blair states that Canada is being militarized....by having these wpns… well it's not because we are spending money on defense thats for sure.... I would not even try to reason with any lying liberals, if SNC and the countless other scandals have taught us anything people who vote for the left, honesty is not a trait they are looking for, in fact they don't give a rats ass, it's become a trait they look for... The next question is when are the conservatives going to get their shit together, and get a leader that can lead...then get rid of these pieces of garbage, that we are stuck with now.... I don't own any of these wpns, but i'm sure they are not cheap, last time I checked they with all they attachments 5they run about 5000.00 to some fetching 14,000 I wonder what fair market value is going to be.... and how much will the buy back program cost.... and would all this money not be spent fighting illegal guns...say at the borders and through theft . or is this just something to take our minds off that they had spent over 250 bil fighting the virus in the first phase....I wonder how much the 2 and or 3 rd waves are going to cost.

  35. Exactly, it has nothing to do with public safety as they state. It has everything to do with scoring cheap exploitative political points by appealing to ignorance. They have not presented one single fact to back their position on this ban. That's because the facts would illustrate just how cynical this is. The fact is that statistically Canadian gun owners are three times less likely than non gun owners to commit a crime. The fact is that no one has ever been killed by an AR15 in Canada. The fact is that the only time the Mini 14 was ever used for a mass shooting in Canada was many years ago when a nut bar Aloha Snackbar guy killed a bunch of women at a woman's school in Montreal. It actually makes a lot of sense that licensed owners would be very law abiding. If you know anything about Canadian gun laws you know that license holders are checked for negative police interactions daily. They are also subject to unannounced checks on their property and storage if deemed necessary. Ironically, law abiding Canadian gun owners are monitored far more strictly than convicted criminals who have used guns to commit their crimes. In fact, no such monitoring or checks are instituted on criminals at all. Only in Canada eh.

  36. Trudeau and Blair used the terrible tragedy in N.S. which was committed by an unlicensed criminal with illicit firearms, to push through a non evidence based law by by-passing democracy and Parliament. Yes other leaders have used an O in C for other legislation, but this is a minority gov't exploiting a tragedy and pandemic resulting in Parliament not sitting. Non evidence as they have not provided us with a shred of evidence that this will stop criminals from using illegal guns. Even if you are no fan of guns, every Canadian should be outraged that our democracy is being subverted and that their government is lying to them about what their actions will accomplish. Why is the gov’t stating that military grade firearms are available in Canada legally when they are not, automatic weapons as used by the military are allready banned. The magazine size and capabilities of military weapons are allready prohibited in Canada.

  40. If your assumption is that you can't trust "liberal sources" and you consider CNN and CBC liberal sources, then its not surprising that you'd think Fox News "lies less." Doesn't mean anything except that you assume Fox isn't lying if what they report contradicts what other sources report. Now I've no real opinion on how much or how little Fox News "lies"; they seem to prmarily report whatever Trump says or does in the most positive light. It may not be lying, but I wouldn't call it reliable news source either. All politicians lie, prevaricate, change their stories, hide or downplay relevant facts. You lambaste every other politician for doing this, while supporting and excusing Trump for every lie that comes out of his mouth. You aren't the only one, of course; almost everyone has bias that affects their critical thinking to some degree. But it's only fanatics (religious, political, anti-science, etc) that completely abandon critical thinking in the way that Trumpsters have. Makes me wonder what positive role fanatics play or have played in human society. There must be something, else why would they exist?

  41. I went to one of the parks this evening to walk the dog. It is not a city park, but one outside that has campsites and of course even on a good year no one comes to camp this early. But the park was closed! There was a "No Entry" sign! WTF ! I am allowed to walk the dog along the city streets with all pedestrians and traffic, but I cannot walk my dog in a wilderness park where the only visitor is myself! Mind boggling.

  42. I don't need a cite. I categorized it as "this kind of talk is making the rounds". If I said it was 100% verified I would need a cite. That's how it works eyeball. I'll skip the last part, because hopefully you have a better understanding of how things work around here now. I do trust Fox News. I watch Fox News almost every day and I don't catch them lying like CNN or CBC. I've got an open challenge out there to anyone who wants to try to catch Fox lying (aside from Juan Williams or the other Dem apologists there) and no one has ever taken me up on it. Unfortunately they don't have a Canadian division. I don't trust Rebel News much more than I trust CBC and CTV, but they carry information and stories that those two ignore. My main beefs with Rebel are the paywall and the fact that Ezra tends to ramble on. Trump lies less than the average MLW poster, and a lot less than Trudeau & CNN, but I am aware that he doesn't have an unblemished record. It's just not nearly as bad as the unwashed CNN horde would have you believe. Trump's main advantage over the likes of Obama and Trudeau is that Trump actually puts his own country first.

  43. I overheard one of my wife's friends saying that she was told that she could get a ticket for driving in her car with her daughter, because her daughter doesn't live at home anymore. I'm not worried about getting a ticket for something stupid like that, I'd find some way around it, but this kind of talk is making the rounds. I've seen mention on FB about places where people face penalties for speaking negatively about vaccines. If it's true it's extremely alarming, but I don't trust anything I see on FB. That being said, who the hell are we supposed to trust nowadays? Some of the biggest MSM outlets in the world push lies 24/7. CNN can not cover a single story about Trump and not omit, skew, misrepresent or fabricate. Not one. It's well past the point of just biased or partisan media, it's 100% bullshit, all the time.

  44. Hamilton actually is quite large (area-wise). Sure portions are industrial, rundown and poor. But it also has gentrified urban area, greenspace and upscale suburbs. The Escarpment makes part of Greater Hamilton, very livable.

  45. There’s a lot more to Hamilton than the steel works. It actually has a nice geography with the escarpment, bay, many waterfalls, and Royal Botanical Gardens. I used to judge that city based on its industrial side, but it’s got a lot going for it. In some ways it’s a more authentic city.
