ICE is enforcing the law against ILLEGAL immigrants.

So tell us, do you support that or not?

Speaking for myself I'd say no. The way it's being enforced in light of how little the US did to prevent immigrants in the first place not to mention how much the US also encouraged them is inhuman never mind hypocritical.

I know you people like to dissect, parse and blame everything along partisan lines but when you're outside your national bubble its plain to see this is just another American problem of America's making.

Robo...your are a traitor to the USA and humanity.

@Trump - Sir...these Libbies are traitors and criminals. Call in the military and tell them to show up armed to the teeth.

Yes, we've arrived at place where you believe your Canuck opinions matter and you're some kind of expert on the US First Amendment, when you don't know SQUAT. LMAO

I know that quite often I only indulge robo-bot with curt insults...but this is different. One of my sons is planning to be a cop. I watch this sort of crap happen and shudder.

This is what society has become? That leaders and the press would instruct the public to fight with federal agents...is the height of sickening.

Last night an officer went to arrest an illegal. No mob...no invasion of a community...a lone officer chasing down a criminal and catching him. One might thing that's not some mob invasion. 2 other criminals start beating the lone cop with sticks and brooms. The initial criminal joins in the beating. The cop shoots on in self defense. The initial criminal is eventually arrested AS WELL AS THE OTHER 2, because "as it turns out", the additional 2 are also illegals and criminals.

YET...ICE is the problem.

Tampon Timmy and that insufferable pansy mayor of Minneapolis, both need to be arrested and caged. Much of the press as well. They continue to lie about every single event and stoke the nerve of really stupid people.

Trump will have to insight the insurrection act and declare war on Minneapolis.

And we haven't even touched on the rampant Somali fraud going on there.

These Libbies are traitors. There is no other way to describe them. Just fckin' disgusting human refuse.

You "know" SQUAT, too.

I didn't make up the evaluate after each shot standard, but I understand why it makes sense unlike you.

Quote

Yes, police officers must evaluate the necessity of every shot, legally justified only when facing an imminent threat of death or serious injury, under the "objective reasonableness" standard from Graham v. Connor, requiring assessment of the "totality of circumstances" but allowing for split-second judgments, with some jurisdictions like California moving towards a stricter "necessary" standard (only when no other reasonable option exists). While officers must act under pressure, accountability for every shot fired is expected, focusing on justification rather than just accuracy.

It's a standard based on a court decision. Duh

Fair points. Joviality aside it's a serious issue

And the politicians as you say have ratcheted the temperature up to 3,000. Even today tim waltz came out with a statement begging trump to lower the temperature, as if he was the one that was raising it and then finished off by saying to protesters don't rise to the bait and don't give them what they want which is of course politically charged language that raises the temperature

I felt the same about Trudeau during covid and said so, but in moments of Crisis it is the job of the politicians to hold people together, to put oil on the water and to keep everyone calm and focused. Instead of keep calm and carry on we're seeing "rise up and break the law because the other side isn't human" as the message sent.

Nor have a clue how firearms work.

Well this is the thing that really gets to me. Any student of firearmstheir effectiveness in application will know that it is almost impossible to stop anyone quickly with a single shot from a pistol unless it's a very very large pistol.

Police are trained to fire two to three times immediately in order to make sure they hit and to do enough damage to actually cause someone to stop their activity. Three rounds and quick succession is exactly what you would expect a police officer to do. They don't shoot and then stop and think maybe I should shoot again. They shoot two to three times and then they assess.

Basically for a cop 3 shots IS one shot

This guy fired at a threat three times in rapid succession and from what we know only ONE of the bullets was fatal, and it still took seconds for the bad guy to be incapacitated.  This isn't the movies,  a single round of 9mm or 40 sw isn't going to stop an attacker jacked up on adrenaline.

Wait a second now, the US has laws about such things... it was Biden democrats that did this and they did it by holding those laws in abeyance to an extent and for a duration that will be studied by future generations.

After Socratic interrogation of AI bot it eventually admitted the following (for whatever it may be worth):

In isolation, the position advocating for strict adherence to statutory mandates under the INA is typically the most legally defensible, as it relies on explicit legislative language and established legal precedents. This perspective argues for an unwavering application of the law as written, aligning closely with traditional interpretations of legal accountability in immigration enforcement.

Statutory mandates can be set aside or altered through Executive Orders and administrative actions, which can redefine enforcement priorities and policies without changing the underlying law. This approach has been particularly evident under the Biden administration, raising questions about the legality and adherence to statutory obligations.

I would also note that the backlash you see now is the fulfilment of an election promise to launch the largest deportation program of undocumented immigrants in US history.

IMO, the only thing that qualifies as hypocritical here is pretending that the pain this has caused was anything other than deliberate, avoidable, and perpetrated by democrats for political gain.

Since you're fond of using "you people" in your rhetoric here please allow the same courtesy.... as far as I'm concerned:

- "You people" did this;

- I resent the pain that "you people" caused those who simply hoped for a better life; and

- I won't forget that "you people" did it on purpose.

But don't worry, I doubt it'll stop there

Unfortunate you don't understand the ASYLUM has always been a LEGAL OPTION in our LAWS.

Biden was holding on to that as a way to motivate immigration REFORM but RepubliCONS refused.

or actually the police officer made contact with the car before killing the driver

We watched it carefully and the Minneapolis mayor watched it too.  Clear murder for no reason at all.

They could have arrested her but instead one of them m-ons decided in a split second to kill her!

What was the purpose of shooting?  You do not stop a car with a shot; you move out of the way.

This happened days ago and we have video from multiple cameras, different angles, the cell phone of the officer, medical reports…

and you are still pushing absolute ignorant falsehoods.

There is no excuse for this.
