I often see guys and women too with tatoos.  Some are more tatooed than others, but it is very common.  Often the men wear sleeveless shirts so they can parade their arms covered with tatoos.  It is really sickening to be honest.  People with tatoos are repulsive to look at.  Sadly these people don't understand what they have done to themselves.  This really turns a lot of people off.  They defaced their own bodies for some strange reason which I can't understand.  The whole thing is such a waste of God's creation.  God created mankind in his own image.  I am sure God doesn't approve of tatoos.  It is scandalous.

Tattoos are personal and have been around since the dawn of man.

Don't look at those tatt's . . . . you'll see your scary future.

I try not to look at them.  Sometimes they appear out of nowhere right in your face.  Disgusting really.  I assume you have some seeing you defend them.

Do you think tattoos should be illegal?

I’m trying to figure out why you would post this in the federal politics section.

What I wonder at is the idea of judging them good or bad because they are tattoos.

You'd think judging what the tattoo was would be the relevant issue to judge on.
Though I judge the 'art" as equal to 'graphic novels" rather than DaVinci or Dali, I've seen the good the bad and the ugly.
And the outright stupid on some faces.

Sickening?

Wife had flower tattoo on her calf. She could disappear in a 500 sq ft craft store like she's entered a dimensional portal. It made her way easier to find. Just scan the store at bottom shelf level and PING there she was.
First wife was barely 5 ft, wanted her to wear a beanie with a flagpole on top like those trucks you see driving around at the mine.

lol... don't look if it's that repulsive to you....

People understand what they've done, and don't think it turns people off at all.  Tattoos have been commonplace forever, and more so now.

Admittedly though....  I do scratch my head at those who get tattoos on their face. A bit too aggressive of a look for my liking....

I personally find most tattoos ugly, and the ones that aren't ugly when they're new usually end up being ugly after about 5 years.

But it's a personal choice, like a shaved head, blue hair, a speedo, etc, and people get to make those.

And some tattoos are deeply personal and carry an immense amount of meaning, and it's ridiculous to say that someone can't tattoo their child's name, birthday, or the day they died on their arm, or that it's ugly.

Sure, some people make a mess of themselves with tattoos. Ditto for alcoholism, drug usage, smoking, overeating, driving dangerously, etc, etc. There's nothing under the sun that isn't done to excess by some humans and tattoos are just exhibit 89,567,943A.  We could all be better, and your version of better isn't necessarily always better.

I love my tattoos, but I'm particular about what I get.

Inside forearm - my grandbabies names and birth flower/birth tree.

Other inside forearm - my grandmother's name and blue roses, which she loved.

Thigh ( a bigger one ) - my sister and I got matching tattoos, black lace heart with roses

This is my latest, but its about a year old.  I saved a pic of it for years and finally got it done.  I get a lot of compliments on it.

A guy on a very noisy motorcycle went by today closely following a car and making as much noise as possible revving his motorcycle.  He appeared to be trying to annoy the car ahead of him.  No shirt but his back was completely covered with tatoos.

So . . . what's your point?

Why would god have an image at all?  What does god need fingers, body hair, genitalia or an arsehole for?

A Bible commentary doesn't say God is an physical image of man or vice versa.  The Bible in Genesis 1:27 is not referring to a physical likeness.

God is a spirit or non-corporeal.

One commentator says man was created in a natural and moral likeness, which was his sinlessness.  But man lost his sinlessness with the fall of man.  But man still has a natural likeness of intellect, emotions, and will the commentator says.

My own view on tatoos is they are not a great thing to have because they change the appearance of the natural body.  I prefer the natural body appearance.

The Bible says God created us and our bodies belong to Him.  Some people get them and then later regret it because people sometimes change their thinking about them later.  If you look at the removal processes on a search on the internet, one method uses a laser.  It looks like they are not completely removed or it still leaves some impression although not as evident or obvious as the tatoo was.
