Ok - maybe we can collectively gather a list of ROOT CAUSE problems, ie. not related to political ideologies or social viewpoints.  That is to say solvable problems.

Here's a start:

1. 2. Lack of unity related to lack of stated common values and a forum to build policy discussion around said values.
3. Lack of transparency of money flow into politics.
4. Distrust of all institutions, and a need for them to be revisited and restated/reinstated/reformed.

Those are 4 big ones... pretty close to the ground ie. "root".

Anyone have anything to add that satisfies the conditions I stated in my first sentence?
