You learn nothing from people you already agree with, which is really what you seem to mean by 'good faith'. It can be a little uncomfortable to debate against someone who holds different opinions especially if they're on the same or higher intellectual level as you, because it causes you to doubt your perceived superiority.

Tsundere is a japanese term for a character in fiction that initially appears to hate another character and treats them badly but deep down actually likes them and over time their relationship grows, usually to the point of romantic involvement (tho she'll usually still pretend to get mad at him regularly). 

It's a common trope in a lot of cultures. The girl starts off hating the guy but then one day... 

THe sort of opposite is yandere, where a sweet innocent person becomes utterly infatuated with another character often to the point of jealous violence and obsession.

That doesn't really make entire sense to me,  gov't spending can rack up inflation because you get more people fighting over less product.  But tarffis don't normally actually create the same sort of inflation, the demand and availability stays the same, the cost is artificially inflated. Even if the economy is down that inflation will still happen. Interest rates slow the economy to reduce inflation, but that kind of inflation would already tend to slow the economy. 

But, nothing surprises me anymore.  Maybe they're right.  Unfortunately we're going to be stuck with a fiscally irresponsible gov't either way probably until the end of 2025 so not much we can do to prepare for it as a country now.
