Yeah.  You can’t argue that Russia has been more aggressive than the American Empire.  And you can’t break free from your programming about Russia to actually consider the Ukraine war and why Russia hasn’t taken it completely over.  They were stopped?  Please…

whatever! Russia is an oligarchy! there is no valid elections. Putin jails/kills anyone who threatens his power.

the wealth gap in Russia is off the map! Russian soldiers are astonished to find that Ukrainians have indoor toilets!

so yeah, when a free thinking people decide whether they want to be part of the Russian empire or the Western empire... they pick the Western empire! and then the economy of the Western empire grows in stead of the wealth of a few Russian oligarchs.

so screw Putin! this is a land grab. he wanted the whole thing! his first assault was an attempt on Kiev.

soon Putin apologists will be making excuses for the Taliban! Kim Jong Un!

That’s all irrelevant propaganda.  At least come up with some relevant propaganda.

The title of this thread is inadvertently more accurate than you realize.  Putin’s war.  On freedom.  He’s doing more for freedom than anyone else in the world.

And if you can’t see that yet, surely you can see that the US has attacked more nations than Russia has in the last 50 years. Why is that?

You failed to post ANYTHING which substantiates ^this claim.

Why is that?

Where is the opposition in Ukraine? Where is the freedom of the press?

🤣 There are no toilets in Russia?

There are no homeless in Canada and the US?

What would do you live in? Lol

That's truly absurd. The USA has not expanded it's territory a bit, despite having smoke opportunity and power.

And YES, the Russian forces were stopped. Do you not have access to international media? Russia has a GDP just north of Spain's, and the rust bucket military apparatus to match.

You said something so batshit, flat-earth crazy there's only so much one can do right it, Mr. Coyote.

hows this? if there's one thing i hate is a hippy peace activist commie! yeah, thats right, i'm now the hawk and "conservatives" are the hippy commie peace activists! who knew that day would come? hahaha!

Putin is an international terrorist. is that propaganda? he's actually a loving guy who likes to cook cabbage rolls? he has no idea who keeps poisoning his political rivals? if only he could find out who blew the wings off of Yanokovych Prigozhin plane? he cares about the hundreds of thousands he's butchered?

hope Putin gets a bullet in the head soon.

It's quite simple, really.  Take as much time as you need.

How.  Many.  Countries.  Has the US bombed, hit with military strikes or drone attacks in the last 50 years.  Now count up the number of countries Russia has done the same with.  The US has been far more aggressive than Russia.

The USSR gobbled up half of Europe.

The US hasn’t taken any territory and claimed it as its own since the Mexican  War in 1848.

Couldn't you just smell the liar? How many countries has the U.S. invaded, without any just cause, unilaterally and in a blatant violation of international law, to subjugate and/or annex?

The three Baltic states

Finland

Poland

Romania

Czech Republic

Hungary

Afghanistan

Lithuania (after declaring independence)

Moldova

Georgia

Chechnya (after declaring independence)

Georgia again (2008)

Ukraine (2014-2022)

Ukraine again (2022 - )

Are you counting, still? Is this USA? Check your glasses.

There's a cause! Ai-ai so threatened! Pathetic, worthless excuses of a brutal, murderous psycho bent on capturing, controlling and complete subjugation of his victims. This is who and what you're trying to excuse and explain: nothing less.

Yes. And brought in comic-boy who swore to the Ukrainians that he'd bring peace. It's all so tragically laughable now.

The US certainly exercises force, but I'm not sure you know what the word "aggressive" means.

The US is active in world affairs. In the last 50 years it has often often played the role of peace maker or peace keeper or otherwise intervened in conflicts, often as part of a coalition. It has taken defensive action. It has taken retributive action. But it is not wantonly invading other countries. It is not conquering. It is not expanding. In short, it is involved in many conflicts, but it is not, as an aggressor, starting conflicts.

The one very notable exception to this is W's invasion of Iraq. He definitely started that war--and without reasonable justification. It was entirely elective and is a huge black eye on the legitimacy of the US as force in the world for stability, freedom and peace.

This doesn't mean that the military itself is perfect, or that I personally agree with all of the actions, objectives and aims of every intervention. But the US is not, generally, aggressive. And we certainly aren't trying to gobble up our weaker neighbors and steal their resources. You're welcome.

We get that you’re an America-hating Russian stooge.

Nearly all the countries which the U.S. intervened in were equipped with Russian weapons to begin with. But the U.S. military fought for freedom around the world.  We failed in Vietnam, but we were trying to protect those people and the rest of Asia from brutal communist dictatorships.  I’m proud to be an American.  I love my nation and what we’ve done.

That's all the good stuff you get to hear about, which they love to crow from the rooftops. There are many other, far less good things they do in other countries as well. Superpowers, 'n all.

No of course not. That's why pencils have erasers.

But I will take a world under US hegemony over the god-damned commies, that's for sure. Land of the free. Plus we get Mickey Mouse...

meh. It's not that black and white.  And btw - russia has bombed or attacked or provided the weapons for attacks for more than you might think. But you probably can't count defence or retaliatory attacks.  Afghanistan for example was in response to 911 where the us was not the aggressor.

Honestly i think russia might edge it out if you take away retaliation attacks.

I have a very low opinion of Putin.  My wife’s old college roomie is married to a Russian in his early 50’s.  He was at risk of being drafted and fled Russia through Norway.  Both sides are drafting older men, and women too, that’s disgusting as far as I’m concerned.

The bigger question for me is, why are both sides grinding their people into dust?  WHY?  Because the official reasons do not add up.

You pick and choose your reality? We were talking about aggressive states and regimes that are bent on invasion, suppression and occupation of other countries. What country has the U.S. occupied after Germany in WWII? Putin and his dictator buddies, scores. Who is the aggressor?

Are you seriously this ... what was the polite word? Can one be? Nazis invaded Poland and France so why did Poles and French fight them? If they landed in Britain, why would Churchill pledge to fight them in the cities and on the beaches?

Who can be this naive? What other "story" do you need?

Okay, how many nations has the US either bombed, drone striked, removed the president or leveled crippling economic sanctions on since WWII?

Start with Germany, Italy, France, etc., Japan.  Then move onto Korea, Vietnam, half of South America with deposed leaders through the CIA.

Then there’s Lebanon, Granada, Honduras, Chad, Iran, Iraq, Panama, Columbia Bolivia, Peru.

Here, read this list(leave off the operations before 1940):
