and elections is under fire by the new left AND the new right.

The Dems and their media flunkies pretended that the 2016 election was illegitimate for 4 years, even though they were the only ones caught cheating on it, and the Dems even got the FBI to lie and commit crimes for them in an attempt to make their accusations look somewhat legitimate. The FBI and the MSM even staged a "Russian Collusion pre-dawn raid" to make it look dangerous and official. OOH, so legit!!!!

Then on election night 2020 the Dems did a miraculous 180 and became believers in the absolute integrity of elections, and the next thing you know hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots suddenly rushed in and gave Biden the presidency...

Anyone with any sense at all would be skeptical of that.

You're allowed to disagree. I don't even think there's "systemic fraud." But all they needed was a truckload of mail-in votes in 4 states to swing the election.

1. Not at all.  I'm responding to DoP's interesting context of how radicalism attacks institutions.  "Conservatives" are not radicals.  Plenty of Conservatives will AT LEAST reserve judgment on the actions of law enforcement.

4.  Interesting.  I can accept that smaller scale could have been effective in closer races, but the degree of coordination needed to ensure victory would still be so large as to leave evidence.  But that's neither here nor there on my point here, which is to reinforce DoP's post.

No. If I saw a lie on Fox and then went around repeating it, that'd be on me. I'd end up looking like an ass just because of something they said. I wouldn't be down with that at all.

I trusted CNN as a news source until the day that I witnessed them opting to describe Michael Brown to the world instead of showing the video of his violent robbery in the moments before he got shot.

I have no undue loyalty to Fox News. They're the best mainstream news organization in North America by far.

All presidential races are close. The Dems are guaranteed NY and Cali, which is 84 electoral college votes. That's almost 1/3 of the way to victory and there are still 48/50 states left.

In every election there will be 3 or 4 swing states which could go either way. If you just have a single truckload full of "mail-in ballots", which can come in up to 4 days after the election, you're golden in those states.

In 2020 there were 63 electoral college votes in Az, Mich, Georgia and Penn. 4 truckloads of ballots was gonna be enough to get another those electoral college votes for the Dems. And those trucks came in, somehow. Whether or not you think those miracle votes were legit depends on whose side you're on.

84 + 63 = 147 votes of the 270 needed to win. They were over halfway with 44 of 50 states left to vote.

If you live in a country where 4 truckloads of mail-in ballots can come in 4 days after the election and choose the next president, there's really no democracy.

If mass mail-in balloting becomes a permanent thing, voter apathy will probably creep closer and closer to 0% every election. By 2048 there will probably be 110% voter turnout. Yay 'Murica!

1. Sure, but those have to be scrutinized, and need to be attached to plausible voters.  You need to get them into multiple districts and therefore have poll managers in many different areas onboard.  Without knowing all the details of how voting was it sounds easy but the more you know of the process the trickier it is.

And the conspiracy has to be perfect because one error and there is hell to pay.

2.  See #1.  You would need to be strategic about any plan to drop fake votes in.

3. We heard this in Michigan and yet they didn't have enough evidence to explain what the problem was.  In some areas trucks came in and Trump still won.  There wasn't anything specifically damning about late votes coming in from what I read of the case.

4. Aren't you worried about leaders who lose the popular vote winning over and over again winning ?  Isn't that more of a concern ?  There are a few examples here - some Liberal, some Republican.

All that they need to know is who voted, make duplicates of those mail-in ballots, and have them arrive in a truck.

Signatures don't have to match anything. The down-ballots don't have to be filled out.

No, not at all. That's how the electoral college is supposed to work.

It was designed so that the gov't had to represent the whole country, not just Hartford, Boston, Philadelphia and a couple of other cities.

Eventually the country would break apart if that wasn't the case.

Canada's election is decided in the GTA and Mtl area. The rest of the country can suck it. That's why separatists are so prominent in the west.

1. Sort of, but they also can only manage to do a few per poll.  They can't all show up in one place right ?  And they have to add Republican votes too.  And there will be other candidates on those same ballots.

2. Maybe but to leave that stuff off is a risk if somebody audits the bag of ballots.  This has happened in the past, famously in a Senatorial primary featuring LBJ.

3. But...  do you really think pointing to the system and saying "that's how it works" addresses your point of voter apathy ?  It sure doesn't in Canada where Trudeau loses the popular vote and the west is discouraged.   Right ?   I find it hard to connect someone called WestCanMan defending the lack of regional representation in a central government but ok.

4. Well yeah... I think that's my point also.  I think this is more of a concern than mail-in ballots also.

Voter apathy is awesome. People who aren't informed shouldn't vote.

I just meant that voter apathy will appear to go down as the two parties start snapping up the names of people who didn't vote, and sending in mail-ins in their name.

Right now one of the problems that we have here is voter representation still isn't fair. Last time I looked there were far more Albertans per MP as there were maritimers. Maritimers' votes were worth about 1.6 Alberta votes.

I think that mail-in ballots are the easiest way, by far, to commit mass election fraud.

It's hard to get people with fake ID to go to the polls and cast fake ballots, they each risk getting arrested for multiple felonies at the same time, but when ballots can come in by mail, a few days after the election, and there aren't even any signatures that have to match, that's easy pickins for fraudsters.

The notion that the majority of people can't get off their asses when they have 12-16 hrs to vote is complete bullshit. If people live in inner cities and their voting lines are long that's just because the people in their electoral constituency can't get their own shit together. Too bad.

2. Perhaps but if it's still difficult to do then you have to weigh out risk/reward.  Ultimately how much mail fraud happens, historically is key to that question.

Republicans, Once Outraged by Mar-a-Lago Search, Become Quieter as Details Emerge

In the minutes and hours after the FBI’s search of former President Donald J. Trump’s residence in Florida this month, his supporters did not hesitate to denounce what they saw as a blatant abuse of power and outrageous politicization of the Justice Department.

But with the release of a redacted affidavit detailing the justification for the search, the former president’s allies were largely silent, a potentially telling reaction with ramifications for his political future.

Turns out the blustering outrage on Fox was ALL LIES.

In FACT, after Trump's lawyer submitted an affidavit declaring all classified documents had been turned over in June, the FBI recovered twice as many additional documents LAST MONTH.

That is ILLEGAL retention of government propety.

You said the FBI and MSM conducted a pre-dawn raid on Mar-a-Lago. None of that is true. The FBI executed a search warrant at 9:00am.  Where I live, the sun is up by 9:00am.  The FBI did not “raid” Mar-a-Lago. They knocked on the door, served the warrant, and conducted a search.

The MSM was informed of the search by Mr. Trump. The FBI did not announce the search; it was Mr. Trump who did.

Why did the FBI search for the documents? It’s because the National Archives ASKED, over and over, for the return of government documents, which were not Mr. Trump’s property whether they were classified or not.  They got a court order for the documents to be returned, then they traveled at taxpayer expense to retrieve the documents.  Mind you… that’s all special treatment.  When they got the documents, they found that many of them were highly classified, and per Federal law, they were obligated to report this to law enforcement.

The agents contacted Trump and returned to Mar-a-Lago last June to pick up the last remaining documents… which should have never been at Mar-a-Lago and which should have already been returned to the Archives.  At this time, agents obtained more classified documents, AND received a sworn affidavit that all records had been returned.

FBI then learned that classified material was still present at Mar-a-Lago.  Perhaps a Secret Service agent reported this; we don’t know who.  But based on the evidence, they obtained a search warrant, they didn’t raw their guns, then didn’t burst in, they didn’t toss smoke grenades or flash bangs, no, sorry, they didn’t raid the place, they simply showed up, served the warrant, and, as per the US Constitution, searched the stated place for the things they believed to find… which they found.

There is no US law that says Donald Trump or former Presidents are allowed to break laws.

What’s odd here is that the Feds had not charged him despite the obvious commission of crime.  They just wanted the stuff back.  They asked. They asked again. Then they showed up. Then they were lied to. Then they searched, and it was Trump who announced that he’d been searched.  We don’t know if the DOJ will charge Trump in this, but Trump has confessed to having classified information and he’s been the one publicizing this case, not the DOJ. It’s almost as if he wants to be prosecuted for it.

Ahh… the old “Whataboutism” trick!

Well, all I can say is that Trump ran for President stating that careless possession of classified information is “the worst possible crime,” and that he would put Clinton in jail over it. He appointed the AG and FBI Director and if they could find a reason to prosecute her, they should have. Trump appointed the current FBI Director, who signed off on the Mar-a-Lago search.

So the net-net is simple: Trump is foolish and he is criminal. All he had to do is comply with the many requests to return the documents and it probably would have been no different than the Hillary Clinton case.  The search warrant is Trump’s fault and the reason we know about is because Trump chose to publicize it. For all we know, the FBI might have been happy to just execute the warrant, get the stuff and leave it at that.

The fact that MAGA folks are unable to see Trump for what he really is, is astounding. He has a solid cult following of people who have given up on any semblance of critical thinking.

Up in arms because of what the FBI did in Maralago?  The CIA has been doing similar overseas for decades! The only difference is that the veil has been lifted and some Americans are finally aware of the stench coming out from within the USA.

And let’s not forget Biden is a disgrace and Democrats are way over their head with no viable options… poor Murica!

But in all fairness, the only country able to bring down the USA is the USA… and they’re well on their way to doing just that.   Cheers!

Unlike Trump's documents (see published pictures), those emails were NOT MARKED CLASSIFIED. Most were retroactively classified WELL AFTER they were sent over the State Dept NIPRnet (Internet) TO Hillary.

No evidence they were illegally copied from the SIPRnet to the NIPRnet servers as would have been NECESSARY if they were already classified.

On top of that, Hillary cooperated with the investigation, unlike Trump who lied that all the materials were turned over

I said "Russian collusion pre-dawn raid", it's right there in your quote, and it's 100% accurate, genius. The FBI had CNN tag along with them for a pre-dawn raid on Roger Stone's home. The FBI deemed it so dangerous that they needed to have a bunch of automatic weapons locked and loaded but they still had reporters there... hmmm. All for a smear campaign which the FBI knew to be meritless, and where they committed crimes in order to get warrants to spy on members of Trump's campaign.

The MSM was informed of the search by Mr. Trump. The FBI did not announce the search; it was Mr. Trump who did.

Nothing in the rest of your post was pertinent to anything that I said in my post.

I'm not limiting my criticism of the FBI to their Russian collusion witch hunt at all. I wouldn't impugn the integrity of the FBI, formerly one of the world's most respected police forces, just for that one sad episode.

The FBI has outed themselves as political actors and the evidence is ubiquitous, overwhelming and incontrovertible.

In FACT, after Trump's lawyer submitted an affidavit declaring all classified documents had been turned over in June, the FBI recovered twice as many additional documents LAST MONTH.

That is ILLEGAL retention of government propety.

Sounds like the "Russian collusion" nonsense again. Start with a baseless allegation then try and pin a process crime on someone. Much like they did in the Soviet Union

I know that if you knew what you were talking about, your post wouldn't be so idiotic.

And we were just supposed to figure out that a thread about serving a search warrant on Trump magically became a thread about convicted felon Roger Stone.

Who is getting quieter as details emerge? Who is lying?

I haven't heard much talk of "nuclear secrets" lately, have you?

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

If you missed something on the Cultist Narrative Network, don't worry, the dolt horde here will make sure everyone hears it.

The usual Republican Congressmen and Fox News Hosts & Guests. Almost all of them were making up lies about FBI agents planting evidence, and it just got more outlandish from there and of course no evidence for any of it.

None of the contents of super secret classified documents will ever be made public. That is the whole purpose of classification.

So you didn't hear about the Republican lead Senate Intelligence committee that concluded Manafort was sharing private polling data with the Russian agent Kilimnik?

Of course they needed that info to optimally target their bots and trolls on Facebook. All traced back to the Internet Research Agency; members of which were indicted by Mueller.

That was an ILLEGAL foreign government campaign contribution and collusion between Trump's campaign manager and Russians. Tip of the iceberg. Then there was Trump EXPLOITING Russian STOLEN DNC emails for his campaign.

All super innocent, right?
