Our snivelly, grovelling mainstream media pretends to never have noticed Trudeau's divisive rhetoric, but it got so bad that one of his own MPs finally had to speak out:

https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/liberal-mp-breaks-ranks-over-pandemic-policies-1.5772722

Lightbound said that he wasn't the only one in his party that was unhappy with the divisiveness, and he stepped down as the chair of the Quebec caucus.

https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/its-not-good-timing-liberals-downplay-mp-joel-lightbounds-accusation-of-divisive-tactics

Quote

another Liberal MP from Quebec, Yves Robillard, has decided to speak up to say he agrees with “everything that Lightbound said”.

Robillard, who represents the Marc-Aurèle-Fortin riding in Laval, told the Hill Times in an interview that Lightbound “said exactly what a lot of us think” and mentioned that there are more MPs in the caucus “who’ve just had enough”.

Interestingly enough, all of the CTV propaganda of the last 8 years never budged my needle even one inch towards the LPOC, it just pushed me away, but the courage and decency of these two, plus all the women who already left the party, gives me some hope for them.

TBH it looks like the PCs are getting a leader who appeals to laid back, common sense conservatives and conservatives who are angry with all of Trudeau's lies, scandals and hate mongering.

Trudeau has damaged his brand irreparably now. CTV and Goebbels are scrambling. It looks really bad now, like the unravelling of the King-Jung-Awesome myths in NoKo.

Nope.  Poilievre is unelectable and will alienate all the people the CPC needs to actually form a government.  He doesn't appeal to anyone but the Party's rabid base.  I'm usually a conservative voter both provincially and federally and I'd vote for Jagmeet Singh before I'd vote for that clown.  This guy guarantees another 7 years or Trudeau.

This is coming from a person who fully supports ethics breaches and hate speech, so I'll take it with a gargantuan salt block.

FYI you don't represent conservatives at all, you don't even represent the center-left or the undecideds, you're as alt-left as they come. Pro-BLM, pro riot for 999/1000 days, anti-windmill, anti-science, pro-propaganda, anti free speech, etc.

There's not a single conservative voter in NA who thinks that BLM "is an excellent example of a group that doesn't threaten others, and the convoy is just a white supremacist horde bent on insurrection!"

Go fish.

The Libs don't do that at all. The MSM does that for them.

The credibility gap is growing though, and Canadians are getting fed up with CTV, CBC and Goebbels.

5 years ago I was almost a lone voice in the wilderness when I complained about those guys, now it's becoming mainstream. Jordan Peterson is thrashing the CBC.

Those leftist channels saw what happened to CNN. CNN is in a death spiral now. Apparently once the credibility gap becomes a chasm, there's quite a downdraft. A vortex. Like in the toilet they belong in.

Our left wing media will have to make a move back towards center or they're gonna be screwed.

I think the Libs will have a much harder time next election. It's very rare for a party to do well after 10 years in power. Usually because they become like Trudeau's Liberals by then, out of touch with the average voter.

Also by the time next election comes, the effects of rampant inflation will be felt a lot more. Most voters won't really care why there is inflation they will just vote for change.

Doesn't matter what Justin does.  As long his primary opponent can't disavow the hardline politics of the rabid Alberta base, they'll flop.  Trudeau doesn't need to be popular to beat someone like Scheer, O'Toole or Pierre Poli.  The first two were wimps who sat on the fence with the far right of the party and that was enough to scare off the middle ground Canadian voter.  Pierre is jumping on board with them whole-heartedly, and he'll be even less appealing.  Harper was the last Conservative leader that understood there's no path to the PM's office that doesn't properly court the middle vote.  He was a pragmatist and everyone who's come since has been a coward or an out-of-touch buffoon.

I just found a cause that Trudeau can employ his vile mouth for.

If he wants to characterize protestors as violent racists and scum, he can just go on an accurate rant about the BLM protesters instead of lying about the freedom convoy.

I'll even write the wee Nazi's speech for him, using his classic form, character and tone to a tee:

“We all know who BLM's supporters are, and we will do our very best to try to convince them to be better citizens. However, there is still a part of their population (that) is fiercely against it.

They don’t believe in lawful conduct or the nuclear family, and are very often arrested for things like strangling and suffocating their wives, assaulting & slicing their own brothers with knives, assaulting random civilians, attacking the whitehouse, burning churches, burning businesses, burning down low-income housing developments, looting, killing police officers, beating and partially scalping mentally handicapped teens, and raping young children. It’s a lot of people, and not all DAs are Dems so they can't all just be let out of jail instantly, and Kamala Harris can't bail them all out herself. It's a very high percentage of their group, and they take up a lot of space.

This leads us, as a leader and as a country, to make a choice: Do we tolerate these people?

Well, I sure do. BLM is an excellent example of a protest group that I support."

Can someone send this to Trudeau for me please? I know that he'll really enjoy saying it.

I don't disagree.  It's just that you can get away with a lot of bad/dumb stuff when your opposition isn't presenting serious competition.

We're learning more about organizer Pat King and his theories of 'caucasian race replacement'.

That's worse than a guy carrying a flag IMO.

And it's not 'hate mongering' to call out actual hate mongering, stop trying to change the meanings of words folks.

Call out what must be called out.  Just don’t discredit the many with the views of a few.  You saw the USSR flag in those marches too.  You also heard from Eastern Europeans who talked about coming to Canada to flee communism.

I should start calling everyone who disagrees with me racist.  I guess I should get into black face before I do it. Works for Trudeau.

I'm not a huge fan of Poilievre but I think he does have a chance of beating Trudeau, who is enormously unpopular with many voters.  I don't agree with Poilievre's support of the convoy and meeting with them and don't agree with his opposition to vaccine mandates and pandemic measures.  But there is nobody else around who could possibly beat Trudeau.  So it is a matter of voting for the lesser of he evils.  That's how our system works.  We have to vote for the lesser evil and there are only a few choices.

Jagmeet Singh is the last person I would vote for.  He is a diehard Socialist.  He thinks billionaires (or millionaires) are the worst and believes they should be taxed very heavily.  That is Communism which won't work.  It would be a disaster.  Most investment would flee from Canada if we had an NDP government.   There are many more investment friendly places in the world for them to go.  Jagmeet and the NDP don't understand anything at all about the real world.  They have a simpleton view of everything.   They think government can provide everything for everyone and believe in big government control of everyone.  They would be a disaster.   It's not how the real world works.  Capitalism or free enterprise is the best system in the world and is what produces wealth and prosperity.  This has been proven repeatedly.  There must be incentive for people to innovate, produce, and work in society.  Human nature being what it is will always have lazy, loafers who want to live off others and off government.  We can't have government robbing those who produce everything to give everything to the loafers.

Jagmeet is also a bit of a revolutionary.  He said the Cuban Communist revolution was good for the people.  Ignored the fact thousands were killed and thousands locked up in prison and Cubans lost their freedom.  Cuba has been struggling in poverty ever since.

Jagmeet Singh has really nothing to do with the question of Tory leadership.  He's a boob and that's about all you need to say about him, so I'm not sure why the socialist dog whistle had to be blown here ?

I'm not as certain as I was months ago that Poili can't win the Prime Minister's seat, but if he does win it's going to because of a poor global economy and general ennui with the Liberals, where the CPC will win in spite of him instead of because of him.

TBH I wish that Singh was less of a boob so that he could steal more votes from Trudeau.

We'll see what Poilievre's chances of winning are once Trudeau says "Everybody look under your seat, especially those of you in the media" ahead of the next election.

Of course you understand that in this instance, the burden of proof is on you, right?

At the heart of this little tete a tete is my claim that you need to show some kind of proof of all the "nazi flags and racist symbolism" that you keep popping off about.

Eyeball was actually coming to your defence by saying that I needed to show proof that "CNN supported the riots", because according to him, some people still don't know.

Anyhow, you're admitting that the burden of proof is on the positive claim, or in this case, proof of your comments about the symbols, so it's put up or shut up time

For the tenth time, @eyeball & Michael Hardner, show the proof that you claim to have.

@Michael Hardner Remember just a couple weeks ago you said that you never pretended to have seen Nazi and Confederate flags?

You were being called out for it in Feb 2022 as well, right at the time the convoy was there.

You never denied that you did it, you just weaselled out of answering. Here's more of that annoying proof.

@eyeball What do you think of all your old posts? Did they age well? 🤣

Ironically, just a few posts up, you can see where I had to remind @MH of his comments in this thread 2 years ago.

It's weird that someone can be so firmly on one side and then remember it differently in hindsight.
