By continuing to occupy Ottawa they are continuing to break the laws and the emergency act.  This is illegal and a revolt against the authorities and government.

You use strong language which doesn't exactly reflect what's actually going on.

Nice try

Does it (the Charter) protect the right of peaceful protest?? Just wow. Another empty and useless propaganda BS? Is there anything they could do right?

your remedy is through the courts

you suffer damages by them violating your charter rights

law firms will be lining up to take your case, because they get a big percentage of the award

you sue the government, then they usually split the difference and settle for half what you are suing for

No but right there literally is a direct violation of the right to a peaceful protest. If it's in the Charter who could be so dumb to write it? Or is it smart because it never comes out of their accounts, another cherished Canadian tradition.

there's no prior restraint

your charter rights are not violated until they are violated

so your remedy is to seek damages in the courts

now, the Mounties who are obeying Trudeau are violating their oaths by violating your rights

but that is actually a criminal matter, they could be charged for that

so they are taking huge risks for Trudeau, foolishly

the politicians always throw their low ranking cronies under the bus

If you don't believe me, listen to the media, listen to Jagmeet Singh, the leader of the NDP, listen to what the government is saying.   Singh says this is clearly an insurrection.  Their clearly stated goal is to have an unelected group replace the democratically-elected government.  They are using harassment of citizens, attacking workers, attacking people and using children as shields.

Of course the courts will take their time.. all the time they need.. nothing to worry. Down south courts can suspend an illegal order within hours but why hurry be happy a cute salary is clinking either way. Such a cute, toy democracy

siding with Jagmeet Singh is just shameful

If we have any dignity left as a free people we have to make sure that no one of those who pushed a finger for these Emergencies would get within ten miles of the power. It has to be the first question we will ask in the next several decades: how did he / she / they vote?

well Jagmeet Singh is certainly never going to be PM

he'll be lucky to be NDP leader for much longer

he'll be gone after the next election, if not before that

no, this is it, this is the breach right here

this is what tyranny looks like

this is a classic case of absolute power corrupts absolutely

thus why the power of Christ compels me to stand against it

this is good vs evil, real world in real time

this is why we Canadian soldiers say it is an honour & privilege to serve you

these are the times that try men's souls

but that is the crucible that all Canadian infantrymen seek

this is what we live for

Indeed...the government response to protests against tyranny is now even more tyranny.

This is not what democracy looks like.

The Trudeaus always did admire Castro...Justin should start wearing green fatigues.

Agreed that tyranny 'looks like' this ... but if you dig down, it's not.

This is more like tyranny - they teargas protestors so the king can be seen walking proudly in "his" streets, not "our" streets
