Oh, so its a good thing, right ?   It's only 30 days of officially specific tyranny....that makes it so much better !

"Peace, Order, and Good Government" at any cost...including the loss of Canadian freedoms.

..."It's only for 30 days !!! "

It isn't at any cost. What is it about, can be withdrawn by Parliament that you don't understand? What about the freedoms of all the people who have been inconvenienced and lost incomes and possibly even businesses because of these people.  It is a good thing, a country has to be able to protect itself.

Only with Parliament's approval.

Then don't say its actions are limited for 30 days.

But they were already damaged far more from the Covid restrictions and related policies.   Protests are supposed to be an inconvenience.    What is it about these basic civil rights concepts that you do not understand and are so willing to just give up just to restore the status quo ?

They are. What kind of country do you want to live in, one where the loudest mob rules?

That's a serious question.

I want to live in a country where basic human rights and dignity of person is respected by the government.

Remember when that used to be Canada?

That's a Trump quote.

Trump never declared national martial law...pointing at Trump cannot deflect the severity of what has happened in Canada with PM Blackface.

Trudeau used the nuclear option because he failed so badly on this "file".

Blackface has likely done irreparable harm to the nation.

They are but how about you start showing some respect for your fellow Canadians. You seem to think this bunch should be able to hold the capital and the country's economy hostage for as long as it wants and the rest of Canadians should just lump it. The answer is NO.

No one is going to invade our Parliament and start head hunting our representatives, that's a Trump strategy.

You still don't get it....freedom and human rights must be protected in the worst of times, as that is when they are most under attack.

They are not.

To quote one commenter:  "My wife and I are double V'ed and we refuse to use the passport.  Until ALL Canadians can eat in a restaurant, none of us should be."

This all ends if we all stop complying.

That means YOU have to get control of your fear addiction.

I like how there's all these now-unemployed truckers with their trucks sitting around in the streets doing nothing when they could be shipping stuff and helping the stressed supply chains.  Instead things we buy are just going to get more expensive.  Great call Trudeau gov.

Liberals have always been a bunch of smug politicians who think they know what's best for everyone else.

They are, that's why they are specific, time limited and subject to the approval of parliament. US governments can impose martial law if necessary.  Freedom an human rights are not protected when they are defined by a mob. This is not the US.

You think you would have learned that on 01/06/21, but I guess not.

No fear addiction here. All Canadians can eat in a restaurant. Not my fault if they choose not to.

I have friends who won't even leave the house right now and chum with me and few other pals.  Still.  They have literally seen nobody they know outside their house since like Xmas.

FEAR

One of my coworkers tests about 3X a week and panics every time she feels a little tired.

She's about 25, I think and totally lives in fear.

Of course, she's tested "positive" twice now and has had to quarantine twice in the last 4 months.

Double V'ed, of course.

These people are the reason why the rest of us can't have nice things.
