They were warned repeatedly to leave. They were told many times by pamphlets that their actions are illegal. Ottawa residents were fed up. Counter protests were gaining momentum. Risk of clashes and civil war increasing. There was no choice for the law enforcement to act and since some elements put up a fight the police left with no choice but to get tough.  Fortunately it has been peaceful in most parts so far and hopefully they leave before someone getting seriously hurt or killed.

the government has no right to make them leave

what the cops are doing is illegal, not the protesters

Look man, peaceful protesters including older women and children singing Give Peace a Chance surrounded by a massive police force with batons isn’t a good look.  You’re not going to win this argument.

There's video evidence of police using horses to trample protestors.  They should be sued.  Disgraceful.
