We all are aware of the Wuhan Virus pandemic devastating the North American Frontier, for the past 5 weeks, including breaking the USA record for the most citizens ever to be unemployed/out of work, at one time.  The Dems love this. Because it means a poor economy on Trump's watch.

Almost all developed nations have shut down non-essential business. Hard to justify singling out Democrats. . . unless you're rabidly partisan I guess.

Of course, the addition of several thousand people to the death toll is okay. The Republicans should consider the possibility that if red states open and blue states stay shut down, it is republican voters who will be most affected by the surge in covid-19. That would be the stupidist way of looking at this catastrophe imaginable. 

This is a time when politicians should shut up and listen to people who know what they are doing and let the public health experts do what they do best.  (Note to that guy who flunked out of college as a philosophy major trying to tell Doctor Tam how to do her job. Kenny may be a whiz at being a politician but he knows nothing about the practice of medicine.)

By the end of the month, the death toll from Covid-19 will have, in just 3 1/2 months, surpassed the death toll of Americans in the 10 years of the Viet Nam War. As I've said before, 50,000 is not a number. It is 50,000 innocent people who are moms and dads, sisters and brothers, daughters and sons. They are 50,000 real people.

I didn't suggest anything that requires data.  But the dems have put on the brakes and added poison pills to all of the stimulus budgets that we're given to Trump - that's a fact if you want it.

Flattening the curve has not become flattening small business.  The reason for the lockdown was to prevent hospitals from being overrun.  Well, in almost every state, hospitals are not overrun.  So logically, a phased re-opening should be taking place.

Super low oil prices doesn't help the green economy, it actually makes the transition harder.  It just means it's going to be cheaper than ever for people to use gas.  Why would people/businesses want to switch to EVs when gas prices are actually going down significantly?

It may put US and Canadian oil companies out of business or reduce their production (which is one goal for environmentalists), but OPEC/Middle east oil will continue to flow and gas will continue to be burned.

Maher didn't just say it once or twice, it's like his mantra. He's not the only Dem supporter who is willing to throw massive numbers of Americans under the bus just to get some loser like Hillary or Joe "I promise to repay my massive debt to China" Biden elected. There are millions.

I know that you will probably refuse to believe this because it's not coming from an oh-so-trustworty Liberal source, but there's going to be a large death toll associated with a massive economic downturn as well if the economy doesn't pick up again. The sad, prolonged deaths of these people don't happen overnight, unless they commit suicide, but in either event the cause of death isn't listed as "homelessness/depression caused by covid". It is. Mental illness is nothing to laugh at. 

In '08 we saw hundreds of thousands of Americans who were doing things right, that had lots of equity and savings, who lost their jobs and their homes and went on to live in tents. When this happens to 30 or 40 year olds they can pick up the pieces and start again, but for older people it's about as likely to happen as winning the lottery. It's basically a death sentence.

People will die if the economy opens too soon, people will die if the economy opens too late, people won't be able to afford to have babies if they have no home or job so some people won't even get the chance to be born. There's no solution that doesn't involve death or horror.

Trump is going to make a monumentally large decision now and you should be hoping that it works. It's time for us to all act like grown-ups. Root for our own team, which is everyone, and don't be a little partisan bitch like Pelosi or Maher.

I don't think anyone quarrels with that. But opening before you've even reached the peak of infections and deaths would not be logical.
