Slave labour does have its advantages.

They're not slaves but an apartment probably costs $10 a month to rent over there.

If you listened to the debates, attended one of her rallies, or gone to her website, then you would know. If you listened to the main stream media, then you would only hear the Donald Trump rantings. The media was against Hillary, and working for Trump.

Inadvertently and in hindsight maybe but it was definitely not their intention.

Just different standards. Probably more realistic standards. The earth can't support its entire population consuming like North Americans.

Where did you get that from? An apartment in the city in China cost about 4,029.03 ¥ ($600 - 1 bedroom) to 4,238.40 ¥ ($1200 - 3 bedroom), prices outside of the city are about half of those.

Ironic that the media was against Trump, but mainly showed and talked about him, and ultimately this may have been in his favour. Some say Trump knew what he was doing, knew how to get that "sound bite" out there because of his TV experience. Any press is good press?

"Different standards" demonstrates the leftist thinking. They're not wrong in the way they live, just different.

Many third world countries that produce cheap goods for westerners to use have a high rate of child labour. Child labour isn't a problem. Just different standards. Probably, more realistic standards.

Rampant pollution without environmental controls in these third world countries -which they use to their advantage to lower the cost of production. To hell with the environment, right? Just different standards. Probably, more realistic standards.

Child labour and pollution are issues that need to be resolved but if you think 7.4 billion people can live like the average North American, you are dreaming.

Who said any such thing?

OK but being able to produce at lower cost isn't just about child labour and pollution.

Folks,

Please avoid thread drift.

We do not have time for a meeting of the flat earth society.

You think Trump is going to raise environmental standards ?

Well, since the thread is about Donald vs. Hillary I would say, Trump doesn't need to raise the standards for things produced here. Hillary on the other hand would represent the status quo. Production will remain outsourced to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and all those places where the workers suck toxic fumes every day, so that you can wear a pretty pair of blue socks for $3.

CNN called her out!

Hillary Clinton called out by CNN for not having press conferences

WHEN?

She's ducking! And she's got a huge reason to.

After 255 Days Of Hillary Dodging The Press, Bob Woodward Wonders About 'Transparency'

If not, why won't she oblige, once and for all, put this matter to rest?

When you were so concerned that Hillary, as a presidential candidate hadn't had a press conference in a while, were you worried that you would have to look like a hypocrite when Donald the president-elect would go months without a press conference? Do you think he will ever have one? Do you really care about press conferences or was that just another parroted talking point that you were just repeating without thinking much about it?

.... I would expect a major stock market collapse if Trump gets in simply because no one with money to invest trusts the guy to be rational

Follow-up to this prediction....U.S. stock markets have responded well to Trump's victory...at least in the short term.   Predictions were false, for now.

OPEC didn't agree to cut until last week.

I doubt Trumps little piss ant 500 jobs at Carrier will speak anywhere near as loud as OPEC cutting over a million bbl/day.
