Where did you get that from? An apartment in the city in China cost about 4,029.03 ¥ ($600 - 1 bedroom) to 4,238.40 ¥ ($1200 - 3 bedroom), prices outside of the city are about half of those.

Ironic that the media was against Trump, but mainly showed and talked about him, and ultimately this may have been in his favour. Some say Trump knew what he was doing, knew how to get that "sound bite" out there because of his TV experience. Any press is good press?
Smallc Posted November 14, 2016 Report Posted November 14, 2016 Doubtful - I don't think Trump ever intended to be president.

OftenWrong Posted November 15, 2016 Report Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) "Different standards" demonstrates the leftist thinking. They're not wrong in the way they live, just different. Many third world countries that produce cheap goods for westerners to use have a high rate of child labour. Child labour isn't a problem. Just different standards. Probably, more realistic standards. OftenWrong Posted November 15, 2016 Report Posted November 15, 2016 Rampant pollution without environmental controls in these third world countries -which they use to their advantage to lower the cost of production. To hell with the environment, right? Just different standards. Probably, more realistic standards.
DogOnPorch Posted November 15, 2016 Report Posted November 15, 2016 18 hour days in the textile factories getting poisoned by dyes...slave fishing ships...indentured labour building dream skyscrapers in the desert...it's all good for us. Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
Wilber Posted November 15, 2016 Report Posted November 15, 2016 Child labour and pollution are issues that need to be resolved but if you think 7.4 billion people can live like the average North American, you are dreaming. "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". WSC

Well, since the thread is about Donald vs. Hillary I would say, Trump doesn't need to raise the standards for things produced here. Hillary on the other hand would represent the status quo. Production will remain outsourced to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and all those places where the workers suck toxic fumes every day, so that you can wear a pretty pair of blue socks for $3. Do you think he will ever have one? Do you really care about press conferences or was that just another parroted talking point that you were just repeating without thinking much about it?
