  3. These are organizations/institutions etc that require some form of ID according to the search engine I used: Travel Airline Travel: A government-issued photo ID is typically required for boarding domestic flights. For international flights, a passport is necessary. Banking and Financial Services Opening Accounts: Banks usually require identification to open accounts, apply for loans, or perform significant transactions. Alcohol and Tobacco Purchases Age Verification: ID is necessary to verify age when purchasing alcohol and tobacco products. Employment Job Applications: Employers may request identification during the hiring process to verify identity and eligibility to work. Medical Services Healthcare Access: Patients may need to present ID when visiting doctors or hospitals for treatment. That's an awful lot of 'suppression' isn't it?
  4. $45? Assuming that it's mostly non-whites that end up paying this fee....how is that not racist?🤨
  5. No denying that Carney has been very successful in life. As for the 'self-made man' description, that might imply that he's an entrepreneur and that's misleading. With Brookfield, he helped buy companies as opposed to starting them. We have discussed the impact of the industrial carbon tax before and you flat out reject that it has any impact at all on food prices so there's little point in rehashing that. It seems that Canada isn't really a good place for business overall and we have to ask, why? Auto plants laying off people, moving to the US, restaurants across the country closing by the thousands. Nobody in Carney's cabinet really stands out in a good way. You describe Poilievre's team as minions, while Carney's are not? Carney is in a great position since at least half the country see the Liberals as virtually blameless for the state of the country. Melanie Joly??? Gary Anandasangaree???
  6. You forgot to mention the strong anti-Israel bias. https://intpolicydigest.org/the-un-corruption-and-scandals-how-did-we-get-here/
  7. Pretty impressive reading. He probably has more conflicts of interest than any Prime Minister in history, yet somehow manages to avoid getting called out on it. With a resume like that he's still unable, or unwilling to tackle the problem of rising grocery prices?(the rebate is a tiny band-aid) What about his cabinet? Basically the same bunch that's been around since 2015 and many of them are rather pathetic at their jobs.
  8. Alberta's beef is about continually having to shoulder the load of equalization payments, most of which end up in Quebec's coffers. I don't blame Quebec for wanting to protect their language and culture. It does rather fly in the face of Canada's official policy of multiculturalism does it not? You mention 'covert US support' but forget that during election time, many Liberals go down to the US to help the Democrats win.
  9. Why do you assume that it's somehow more difficult for non-whites to get photo ID? All adult passengers (18 years and older) flying within the United States are required to present an acceptable form of photo ID at the airport security checkpoint. This is enforced by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). See the hypocrisy here?
  10. What constitutes Republican voter suppression? Specifically?
  11. The electoral process should be as secure and transparent as possible. Providing ID, updating voter rolls and so on make perfect sense.
  12. Isn't this basically how the Liberals have been justifying chronic overspending since 2015, as 'investing'? Where is the return on all those years of 'investments'?
  13. The last year Canada had a balanced budget or surplus was in 2014-2015, when the federal government recorded a surplus of CAD 1.9 billion. The Prime Minister during that period was Stephen Harper, who led the Conservative Party. The Harper government had balanced budgets in the fiscal years 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 as well, with surpluses of CAD 13.9 billion and CAD 9.6 billion, respectively. Following the 2008 financial crisis, Canada experienced a series of budgetary deficits until returning to a surplus in 2014. However, after Harper's tenure ended in late 2015, subsequent budgets have not returned to surplus. Trudeau inherited a surplus, and it's been downhill since then. He grew our GDP by mass immigration and government overspending. Homelessness, crime, skyrocketing debt, all those things and more have gotten demonstrably worse under the Liberals. Carney's plan seems to be to keep making Trump the bogeyman as long as it fires up his base.
  14. Although I like Poilievre, I'm not optimistic about his chances of becoming PM since Liberal voters are only focused on Donald Trump and nothing else at election time. Bad news for Canada.
  15. Don Lemon probably was praying to be arrested as it will help to get his name in the headlines again.
  16. His predecessors were arguably more likeable but they got fewer votes. It's a pity that so many Canadians care more about likeability than ability in political leaders. Likeability of Poilievre is more of an issue with leftist voters than the mediocre record of this government over ten years.
  17. In that previous encounter, hurling f-bombs at officers, challenging officers, spitting on them, kicking out a taillight, then resisting after that. Many are saying he was also armed at that time with a gun in his waistband. You don't see that as violent? Or is that just normal everyday behavior for a leftist?
  18. The officers had obligations and Pretti had obligations too. He chose to ignore them. Pretti had a previous encounter with agents that could fairly be described as violent. He was screaming obscenities at them, he spit on them, he smashed a taillight on their vehicle, and then he resisted them in a physical altercation. I did wonder why on earth he didn't get arrested there and then but perhaps they chose not to because they may have been overwhelmed and Pretti wasn't their priority at the moment. It doesn't seem like Minneapolis PD was there at all to assist ICE. We don't know yet, but it's possible that one or more of the ICE agents remembered Pretty from that previous violent encounter and if they did, it would have heightened tensions even more on that fateful day. And you talk about killing an UNARMED man, but leave out important context like the fact that this happened in a matter of seconds among a hostile crowd of people determined to protect the criminals ICE is looking for.
