Or someone who's only ever been a rabid partisan attack dog... "Politics should not be a lifelong career, and elected officials should not be allowed to fix themselves in the halls of power of a nation." Pierre Poilevre Poilievre entered politics at an early age and stayed there. It’s safe to say he’s the textbook definition of a career politician.

Apparently even within countries. I read a news report that wealthy Upper-class Americans are moving from red states to blue, for economics and choice (like abortion). And while it's rational to want local control over things, I think a majority of Britons would like a do-over on Brexit.

Don't forget Pamela Wallin. "Senator Pamela Wallin says she has sent personal cheques totalling $100,600.98 plus interest to the federal government to repay expense claims as ordered by a Senate committee last month." She even stole a chocolate bar on Corner Gas! (Episode: Hook, Line and Sinker)

Hudson's Bay, Canadian Businesses

Just a sign of the times. Online shopping, the expense of brick and mortar, the expense of supply lines... Too big a country, too few people. -
Cut the Americans some slack

Wait, you think all those booing hockey fans were all Liberals? If that were true, that's a pretty representative cross-section of Canadians, therefore the Liberals will crush PeePee in the election. -
Axe all the tax. Just more of PeePee's sloganistic shortsighted thinking. "For businesses importing into the EU, CBAM introduces new reporting requirements and financial obligations. Importers will need to report on the embedded emissions in their goods and, in the future, purchase CBAM certificates to cover these emissions."

So naive.

Proof Mark Carney will fail as a politician
Barquentine replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I can't know that. But I can know the reality that I stated. That's what gets gov'ts elected and what keeps them in power. If you feel you're worse off, vote 'em out. -
The trade war is back on

And yet: US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that BRICS nations could face 100% tariffs from the United States "if they want to play games with the dollar." (by using another currency) -
$15 a day saved. Consider that a rebate you gave yourself.

And American consumer trucks are pricing out of the market, so either foreign vehicles will find their way in to the North American market or automakers will have to retool.

Yes. I was pulling for him in that last election he ran in. I wish he had stayed on as NDP leader.

If the corrupt Canada-hating Pcs win the next election, it will be our last. PeePee will immediately bow down to Trump and beg him to have mercy on us and make us the 51St. There will be no more Canada, period! Just showing you how ridiculous your apocalyptic warnings are. If PeePee wins, we'll be ok. If Carney wins, we'll be ok. And oh yeah, you brag about being wealthy and things are so good for you, so just how horrible were the last ten years under the Liberals? Are you better off than you were ten years ago? I'm not very wealthy but I'm better off now. -

Usually you're pretty smart but when you come up with ludicrous crap like this, you can't be taken seriously. it's disappointing. -
And Carney was chastised for speaking out against Brexit, but history proved him right. Some politicians know populism is an easy route to power, often harnessing what Trump calls his beloved under-educated, but greater wealth is achieved through Free, properly regulated trade.

No, not at all. But he is more ruthless.
