Glad you asked for help. It's ok to ask for help. Here are some up to date definitions for you. According to the Oxford English Dictionary (OED), "gay" as an adjective can mean "of, relating to, or characterized by sexual or romantic attraction to people of one's same sex". It also has other meanings, including "cheerful" or "bright". According to Merriam-Webster, "gay" can mean "of, relating to, or characterized by sexual or romantic attraction to people of one's same sex" or "happily excited; merry". While the latter meaning is also valid, the former is more commonly used to describe a person who is attracted to the same sex. You are disappointingly dishonest. I'm choosing that explanation, 'cause I can't believe you're that stupid. Woke, gay - need any more current definitions. (There's a thing called the internet. You can look things like definitions up there. Ask your kids.)

Woke: An awareness and acknowledgement that there has been, and still is, systemic discrimination against certain segments of the population, particularly minorities. That's it. Simple enough even for you. BUT if you won't take my word for it: Merriam Webster: Woke is now defined in this dictionary as “aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice),” The Oxford English Dictionary (OED) defines "woke" as originally meaning "awake," but now extends to describe someone who is aware of and actively attentive to issues of social and racial injustice. Got a wife? How would she feel if the guy in the desk next to her, doing the same job, with the same education and experience, made 20% more in salary than her? Got a daughter? Thank God we're Canadian, but what if she moves to the US to find old white men have passed laws, not applicable to all citizens, but just young women, telling them what the can and can't do? What if you're black and landlords won't rent to you just because you're black? What if you're black and afraid every time your son goes out, some white cop is gonna shoot him (and more often than not, get away with it)? Woke? What you guys are talking about are laws and policies that attempt to ameliorate these condition. You can argue about their necessity, their efficacy, or if they're taken too far, but what you guys are mostly talking about are white men's grievances, not about being woke. - Franklin Leonard “When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.”

Unfortunately in reality things will never work that way. Once the supply-demand evens out, no one's going to build much on spec. (Except for small amounts.) The demand will always come first, the exception being a country like Italy with a shrinking population and a supply of old housing. Here we'll always be playing catch-up. And unfortunately, for decades now, builders have only wanted to build large homes to increase their profits, not 2 bedroom bungalows, not even split entries much. Why not small, expandable modular homes? But I do see lots of apartment bldgs going up. That will help. I never liked that guy. Something smarmy about him.

What about a first nations GG, appointed by a non-partisan committee made of equal number from each party. That would tie the GG in to our land and history. No more monarchy.

What's upsetting you? You said it was made up. Now you admit he wrote it, and there's no statute of limitations on hypocrisy. So are you mad because he wrote it or just want to shoot the messenger who brought it to your attention? So it seems not that many people actually liked PeePee or what he was saying. They just didn't want Trudeau anymore. And the more people see PeePee the less they like him. Probably why he won't let journalists on the plane. I'm sorry the last 2 weeks have been so upsetting for you but don't be glum. In political time it's a long way to the election. Maybe PeePee can pull it off. You know, come up with a new slogan or something.

Liberal Party Takes Lead in Polls

Sorry, I slipped up. Conspiracy theories are a right wing thing. Won't happen again. -
You're not serious, are you? I mean really not serious in that you can't be taken seriously. I've lost count of the times I've been called stupid names on here, "woketard" being the preferred by you guys. And PeePee's Cassandra act, parroting Trump, that Canada has been doomed to total destruction by Trudeau... not worth saying more about that. But you know what? You guys go ahead with your insulting accusation-confessions. It seems to give you some needed self-affirmation. I'm content. Hope you feel better.

Of course he's small-c conservative. He was a central banker, for cryin' out loud. And of course there will be similarities in a lot of policies between the 2 centrist parties. Our politics are pretty stable from gov't to gov't. What's different lately is the importing of American style demonization of our opponents, especially from the right. You only have to read a few threads on this site to understand that.

No , not that - they would suggest he should say he prefers Carney to PeePee. -

And if I were a suspicious bloke, I wouldn't put it past PeePee to contact someone with access, to ask Trump to say something negative like that! But I'm not really a suspicious bloke. -

Only thing I agree with. But Trump has people around him who would suggest this. It's such a transparent ploy I can't believe you won't admit it. -

Remember Putin saying he hoped Harris would win the presidency? If you believe him or Trump on this that's some kind of willful ignorance! -

You believe that from the man who only opens his mouth to lie? That's a trick he learned from Putin, pretending to like the candidate they don't prefer, because their endorsement is toxic. Cheap tricks!
