Seems to me more like trump just doesn't like the current planes they're using and would consider an upgrade. The current planes are over 30 years old. Trump tried to push boeing to get the new planes done by 2021 during his first term and has several times expressed his frustration that they have not been able to keep to schedule and are looking at 2030. You might think of it as vanity, but it's not like he hasn't been demanding a replacement for the last 10 years now. So, you're entitled to your opinion. You're not entitled to claim it's fact, that just makes you seem slow. But you're welcome to say you don't agree with it and think it's a waste as i've said many times, you just don't get to claim virtually all the other things you've attempted to claim which turned out to be false.

they are certainly having some successes compared to Biden. The situation at the border is radically changing for the better for example. I think you'd have a harder case to make for the economy but they are still doing a lot better than us and as trump said there will be a time of adjustment. That story won't be told for another 6 months or more. Airforce 1 is a US Airforce aircraft to be used by the sitting president. That is why it is called Airforce 1 and not President 1 or Trump 1.

It is for him to use as president and put in his library when he is out of office. It is a gift to him, personally or at least he thinks it is. If it wasn't, it would continue to be used as AF1 after he left office and any decision to put it in a presidential library when it is retired would be made by Congress, not a president like he owns the thing. Everything you have said is just an excuse for Trump's grift.

Taking a gift from a foreign government and spending $100's of millions of tax dollars so it can be fitted for your personal use and put in a museum in your name when you leave office is not an ego trip. You really have OD'd on the Kool Aid. You are too far gone to have a rational discussion.

Right, so there is no point in spending $100's of millions to convert this one and then stick it in a museum when you could just put one of the old ones in the museum. This one probably won't be ready before Trump leaves unless they short cut it so much it won't have the capability of the existing aircraft. So you can't find any. What it boils down to is you will justify anything Trump does, regardless of the expense or need.

When you spend hundreds of millions on a presidents ego trip, it's a vanity project. If they want to put an AF1 at his library, use one of the existing aircraft when it is retired. At least it will be a real AF1 that has served multiple presidents. The Trump Cult would be apoplectic if something this was done by a Democrat president.

Well if this thing is going to his library, it's just a vanity exercise at the expense of the taxpayer. If it is to serve as AF1 for the next 15 to 20 years, it might be worth the investment. Even if it is completed in two years, it will still be a 15 year old airframe when it does go into service. That's reality. The Trump Cult doesn't care about reality. That's why they allow for advanced polls and mail in ballots if you can't be available voting day. that's your job, get out and vote. But if you DO get out and vote.... the vote must be counted. she got out and voted. And elections canada, who is responsible to guarantee her vote is counted, failed. Whole different ball game. I can read the specifications for an M1 Abrams tank, even tho most of the details are classified. THere is no mention anywhere of a specific series of 'must haves' for air force 1. There's no law, there's no requirement, there's no anything. When they order new planes they say "this is what we want on them", there's nothing that HAS to be on them. ANd they don't just order one, you act like there's only "one" air force one. There is not. Which means even when the first of the new planes are delivered (there's 2) they may fly the old one AND the new one at the same time even tho they have COMPLETELY different gear and builds. But i do appreciate your willingness to look completely uneducated for the amusement of the rest of us SO to recap, if trump does take the plane he can choose to fly it as is if he feels like. He can fly it some of the time, all of the time or none of the time along with the existing planes as he sees fit. We must live according to what God says in his written revelation, the Holy Bible. We live in a democracy and should know what is going on. While nobody is perfect, it is still our responsibility to support the political party that we believe is the best. None of the parties are perfect. We know that. But we still need a government to govern our country. It doesn't help if voters can't decide which party is the least undesirable and the best one we can find. All things considered, I find the Conservative Party the best choice and the only party that has a chance to defeat the less desirable Liberals. However, that is my decision. Everyone has to decide for themselves.
