And you didn't really care about the children, what you cared about is trying to support the idea of left-wing control over people We've seen it a million times from you, you will happily see the death of a child or a woman or anybody at all if it advances what you perceive to be your socialist agenda.

  8. You said our ranking didn't slide during the Harper and I asked you if you had any cites or proof. As usual, you did not. As usual, you refused to provide anything and instead opted for useless long-form bloviating. In contrast, I did a 10 second Google search and quickly discovered you were full of shit. Even here, you're full of shit: Is 6-8 places also a rounding error? If so, then you'd have to excuse the decline under the Liberal years as well. We could, of course, have a discussion about why Canada is declining relative to other countries. Is it because we're not doing well, or other countries are doing better? What's the difference and how much does it matter. That sort of adult, nuanced discussion isn't going to happen with you participating, however.

But sadly, now that we're on page 32... we only have two folks left in the pool... And since the pool only went up to 10, we will return the money if/when we get past 10 pages...

  13. At least he's sorta admitting that our economy is not great right now. He just thinks it's having zero effect on citizens. He's straying dangerously from the Liberal narrative that the economy is great and that Canadians have never had it so good. He better be careful. His masters will not be happy with him.

  15. 1) Cocaine isn’t grown or made in Venezuela, if he’s truly aiming for the source it ain’t there 2) As you say the drugs that do get smuggled are distributed all around the world, Trump is suggesting it is primarily aimed at USA as part of someone’s sinister plot to destroy the USA. 3) The unarmed go/fast boats are easy to intercept and board, no need to destroy on sight and the evidence along with it 4) Following the boats to destination could take down entire global distribution networks in jurisdictions USA has influence over rather than a rogue state US has zero influence over. 5) The fact that Trump is massing invasion forces and carrying out special operations inside Venezuela while pardoning a convicted cocaine smuggling kingpin from Honduras just 1 year into his sentence proves this isn’t about cutting off Don Jr’s favourite party accessory after all.

  16. Billionaires like to sell the notion that they make for better politicians because they don’t need anybody else’s money to win office and are also immune to such temptations while running the country. This has turned out not to be the case. Witkoff and Kushner are involved in peace negotiations that could make shedloads of money for themselves and other oligarchs on both sides. It’s just the quantity that’s different from your regular pol. Brown envelopes simply do not suffice. Forget about the funny languages, the history, army sizes, missile strikes, child kidnapping, blah, blah, blah and whether Ukraine survives or not - there are big, beautiful deals to be made on oil, gas and those trendy rare earth metals.

  18. Where is that happening? Because our economy is not great right now, you think someone in Canada is "bankrupting Canadian women and starving out Canadian children"? Can you quote where I said anything even close to that? You reverting to Straw Man arguments doesn't help your case. Mirror, mirror. Sounds just like Trump's pathetic insults. Are you a 'stable genius' too?

  19. More than 70% of health care spending is publicly funded through general tax revenues. The provinces and territories generate 78% of the cost, with the federal government providing the rest through the Canada Health Transfer (CHT). The original health care funding split between the federal and provincial governments was a 50/50 split Health care eats up 30% to 40% of provincial and territorial budgets, and those costs are expected to increase at an average annual rate of 5.2% over the next decade — much faster than projected revenues. Gentlemen, Universal Health Care in Canada is in jeopardy - unsustainable? However, Kanadians have seen the enemy and it is complacency - only themselves to blame.

  20. I have no idea what you're on about, but you've never been much concerned about truth or facts. Indeed, just like Trump sabotaged the EPA with people who have no interest in environmental protection, and a secretary of Education specifically to dismantle the department of education, he put an anti-vax lunatic in charge of the FDA, who in turn staffed with like minded loons. Any responsible person in that role would have at least made a science based claim. Instead we get this weird press release designed to sow more FUD about vaccines. We're watching children die from classic diseases that were once eradicated because kooks now have an even bigger platform to spread FUD. It's a deadly dereliction of duty. Very hard to know what random shit you're talking about now, but with your track record for critical thinking, it's likely random internet conspiracy shit like this debunked nonsense: "A 13-year-old girl "is now in critical care in the hospital here in Halifax because her heart stopped right after she had a vaccine." Spoiler alert: didn't happen. Fake story. But kids do die at that age, some of them from COVID even. Some of them from other things. And some number of people undoubtedly suffered medical incidents following a vaccination. Post hoc ergo propter hoc. There is some risk to any medical intervention, and I have no doubt that there were extremely rare adverse reactions to these vaccines as there are to others. But the fact also remains that the vaccines are generally safe and effective, and indeed dramatically reduced individual risk and mortality. And that they saved millions of lives. Every medical intervention has a risk/benefit analysis, and in this case the benefit was massively and conclusively larger than any risk, to individuals as well as the general public. You will continue to deny this because of the aforementioned gap in critical thinking and will use the same busted arguments again, no doubt. But your misunderstandings won't change the facts.

  22. Yes, anyone who believes a pathological liar making extreme claims without a shred of evidence (and mountains of contradictory evidence) is indeed very stupid. No ability to analyze a claim whatsoever. Those do be facts. Facts which you helpfully reaffirmed when you linked to a site that (basically) calls you stupid for believing what you believe--and indeed urges critical thinking as the remedy to such susceptibility. Full points for working up the courage to click on something with "school" in the URL though. You really are the gift that keeps on giving. 🤣 The survey shows a strong majority support the development of media literacy and critical thinking skills, with most Americans (67.9%) urging governments and institutions to invest in initiatives that address these problems. However, around half of respondents also believe in debunked conspiracy theories, such as that the 2020 U.S. federal election was stolen due to widespread fraud (49.8%). This belief was highest among millennials (66.9%) and lowest among baby boomers (35.1%).

  23. OMFG WHAT TANKS THERE ARE NO TANKS - NO ATTACKS ON AMERICANS BY ANYONE You continually refuse to explain how any of these people are terrorists. Your dumbass analogy of the guys fuelling tanks RELIES ON the idea that they are still supporting attacks on Americans but in REALITY none of the Venezuelans are supporting any attacks. So its not like fuelling tanks at all. AT ALL. And then your next ignorant argument was to claim that the US military thousands of miles just to bomb the low-level guys who did minor jobs like “fuel tanks” when in reality they only did that to kill leaders and high value targets not the peasants who work for them. No they are not and it’s not “semantics” when will you MAGAs learn that words have meaning for a reason. You’re not a terrorist just because Donald Trump says you are. He doesn’t have free license to just murder who ever he pleases and make it legal by just calling them terrorists. And you continue to lie and misrepresent what I said which again proves you have no real argument. FACT: NO EVIDENCE HAS BEEN PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC AND YOU KNOW IT For you to suggest that the fact that the military followed orders is evidence is beyond stupid even for you FACT: you continue to lie about what I said There’s an actual thing called war crimes, look it up. Not a distraction at all. The Iraq war, which was based on a President’s lies, is a valid rebuttal to your ridiculous claim that the military doesn’t carry out orders unless they’re justified so that’s “evidence” that Trump’s claims are true. That’s not a conspiracy. The president is commander in chief of the military. They follow his orders, they don’t refuse orders unless the President can persuade them they’re legitimate. Clearly you know nothing about the military. No, you and Trump are the liars Trump is singlehandedly responsible for these attacks because he is the one who concocted up this half-baked ridiculous story about America being targeted by these fictitious “narco-terrorists” and then he ordered the military to the coast of Venezuela to hunt them down This is his campaign that he dreamed up You are talking as if you think the US military just bumped into these people by chance or something. Are the people being killed local smugglers? Sure, maybe. Perhaps even probably. But they’re not “terrorists” and they’re not targeting USA. SO go ahead a keep lying that I’m claiming that they’re families on sailboats because you’re off your rocker and have no rational argument, everyone who reads this thread can see that. You’re not only ignorant about the war on terror you can’t even follow simple statements of fact. When ACTUAL terrorists targeted the USA or Americans at hime or abroad they were hunted down wherever they were hiding. YOUR so-called “narco-terrorists” are not actual terrorists by any stretch of the imagination and are not targeting USA or Americans. Genius, the problem isn’t with killing terrorists overseas it’s that the people Trump is targeting AREN’T TERRORISTS by any stretch of imagination. How many times does it need to be said????? JFC you really know nothing. Obama and Trumo don’t staybup ant night doing intelligence work finding target Obama says “find me Al-Qaeda targets”. The military finds the targets tells Obama they’re confident it’s legitimate and clean and Obama gives the green light. Obama doesn’t say “go bomb a wedding of innocent people and go bomb some US troops” Trump says” Go bomb some smugglers off the coast of Venezuela, I’ll tell the public these are “narco-terrorists” targeting America, my gullible supporters will believe anything I say. Those smugglers are criminals anyway so who cares.” Trump hand pick the target he relies on military to identify and if some were fishermen that’s on the military but the whole fake mission is on Trump. So to recap 1) You don’t know what Trump’s justification for these attacks is 2) You don’t know what the evidence for Trump’s claims of “narco-terrorists targeting America” is or how they even supposedly targeted America 3) You don’t know what a terrorist is 4) You don’t know what war crimes are 5) You don’t know anything about the Global War on Terror 6) You don’t know what my arguments are so you lie and make up straw men

  25. Per this link, I believe the Beowulf is the variant on offer: https://www.baesystems.com/en/article/bae-systems-teams-with-general-dynamics-land-systems-to-compete-for-canadas-dame-project I believe Beo is the armoured version, the “flat front” apparently allows for heavier modular frontal armour to be mounted and a v-shaped hull with crew compartment higher up, while the Viking’s long nose shown in your pic is better for amphibious operations, less water resistance and splashing (but both are amphibious). The Viking does look cooler though. And since this is for domestic mobility one would think they wouldn’t need armour but they did take the bv206 to Afghanistan so I suppose they’re just covering their bases. Edit: for all I know this announcement is just going to be about northern infrastructure or northern supply hubs or something it just come on the same day that Canada gets admitted to SAFE and Sweden was just here so I’m taking a shot in the sark. As I think about it, maybe it is an infrastructure thing. Or maybe Globaleye AWACS that I mentioned earlier. But it sounds like something good.

  28. As always, with you, every allegation is an admission of guilt. JOH was railroaded with circumstantial evidence and the word of convicted felons gaining reduced sentences and Ulbricht ran a website for anonymous sales, not drugs. The drug sales were the responsibility of the individuals. Both were over reaches by the Biden admin. They had a proclivity for that.

Canada reaches deal to join EU military procurement fund Canada has concluded negotiations to join the European Union’s military purchasing fund as the 27-member economic bloc ramps up defence spending, Ottawa says. Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government, however, is refusing to reveal the entrance fee it will have to pay for its membership in the Secure Action for Europe, or SAFE, program. As part of SAFE, Canada will be able to make joint weapons purchases with other EU countries to achieve savings through large-scale buying, and Canadian companies will be eligible to bid for contracts financed by the €150-billion fund…. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-canada-eu-military-procurement-fund-defence-spending/

We don't even make the top 17 countries with the highest tax rates.

If RFK Jr wasn't breathing down their necks they probably never would have released this report, and the vax-induced deaths of children would forever stay on the backburner, never venturing past "conspiracy theory" status. Of course there were more than 10. 10 is a BS number thrown out there to admit that it happened, because it was impossible to deny forever, but it makes it sound extremely rare to the point where vax-apologists can claim that it was insignificant, and vax-pimps can plead ignorance. The fact remains that in Canada, the jabs did absolutely NOTHING to justify the vax-fascism.

And you were the one that started with the insults. Not to mention that yet again you turned a perfectly normal thread discussing whether or not we should purchase a plane or trust the Americans into a crybaby tampon Fest whining about how Canada hates the military at a time when we've just increased funding to historic levels But as usual you start with the insults and then break down in tears if somebody dares to insult you back. But it's hardly surprising that you would run like a coward rather than address the simple fact that we can't trust America any further. Run away and high little boy, the men are talking. No wonder the military put tampons in the men's bathrooms

  38. I don't think that murdering someone at the beginning of a supply chain is a legal, moral or ethical way to prevent consumers from getting something you'd rather they not have. Nor do I think it can be reasonably justified as combat. If there were drugs on the boats (and I don't believe that evidence has been produced) then who's to say the drugs weren't headed for other destinations? -- Well, I guess nobody is to say, since double-tap Hegseth murdered them. And I absolutely do think that party-boy Hegseth, the sharer of classified information on signal chats, is haphazard, reckless and careless. He's certainly not smart or thoughtful.

The Trudeau government also enacted terrible economic policies, that restricted the economic growth necessary to properly fund the health care system capacity to handle the new population growth.

  42. They are the prime ingesters of CBC headlines, paid for by the Liberal party. They really have no clue what's happening in Canada. The Libs and the media keep telling them everything is great and they question nothing. Carney told them during his campaign that 👇 *this* 👇is not a problem. I've posted news articles about huge drug busts in other countries ie: like Australia and New Zealand, coming from Canada. But again - apparently we do not have a drug cartel problem in Canada. Big bust last week by the US FBI in New York with the whole Ryan Weddings affair, but hey - still not a problem to them. I don't know if they're just really really stupid or have their heads so far up Liberal a$$ that they can't see daylight. But Lib supporters are definitely the least informed people in Canada. With no desire to become informed, content to be spoon-fed government propaganda.
