Somebody said: Duhhh, both bill passed, I even bolded it for you LOL I'm not the one who routinely posts Duhhh's, Ha Ha Ha's or LOLs... did I make that up too? I thought it might be you referencing (and flippantly) quoting a previous conservative government with an "oh ya, well take that" expression on your face. If you have an original thought that doesn't include HA Ha's, LOLs, Duhhh's and refrains of loser I might listen. So far I haven't heard much of that from you, all I've seen is little blood drops and mindless sarcasm. Even Herb can do that...2 points

Back in the day, I conceded that risk acceptance was a legitimate response to climate change. I also pointed out that that meant it would be incumbent on those causing the most harm to remediate, if in fact the temperatures increased and impacted normal life. By those I mean countries and companies.. Conservatives always felt that environmental damage should be given to those accountable. But the fake conservatives want to to take the risk and do nothing with the consequences.2 points

He's unable to comprehend how you can build a nation without mass killings. How a native American be anything other than a nuisance to remove. You see it with their 'negotiations' today, allow us a tariff or we'll kill you.1 point

I worked with a guy whose nickname was Dunning Kruger. He was the walking incarnation of that law. He could have been a great Liberal/Democrat politician.1 point

No, the only reason it didn't proceed was because they waited until as late as possible to conduct the grand jury as to try to impact his chances of winning the Republican nomination and presidency. If they had acted sooner, there would have been no issue. But that's what happens when you weaponize the justice system. banana republic style.1 point

Once again, I'm not referring to the insurrection. I'm referring to the coordinated attempt by Trump and his co-conspirators (both federal and state) to submit and certify fraudulent electoral votes in order to force a constitutional crisis and a contingent election. A literal conspiracy to overthrow democracy that was ONLY thwarted because Mike Pence grew a spine and chose America over Trump in the last moment of his political life. Why do you think Jack Smith was investigating? Did you chime in without even knowing the subject of this thread? I acknowledge your concession, tortured as it was.1 point

Then why is waldo arguing with Luigi about posts he's deleted. Why did Black Dog comment about deleting one of my posts? You guys are like children over there. I urge you as a mod to start suspending people for a period of time to improve the situation.1 point

In what way? You mean like the CBC or Toronto Star? What side do you think they should emphasize when it comes to crime statistics?1 point

Ahhh the desperation of the losers. Oil and gas will flow. Prosperity will return. And you dumb Tweenkies will still wanna trash it all for a fantasy. Your hatred of the human race knows no bounds.1 point

Yeah I saw that It is a shame that we now live in a country where the older generation is happy that they have their lives previously and don't have to Grow up in what Canada has become1 point

He's not lawfully allowed to be in the country how is this anything other than just enforcing the law? If you don't like the law change it. I've said that a million times and you have never once ever proposed to change to the law. You'll whole argument is that we should just break laws whenever we feel it's really a good idea. That's not how law works. It's a shame he was locked up for so long for a crime he didn't commit. It's not a shame that he's being deported for a law that he is in violation of1 point

You're forgetting something fundamental. They are able to do this because the voters allow it The voters can change everything during the midterms. I believe it's about 16 more senate seats and five more house seats and they have enough to impeach trump if they wanted. And I mean impeach him all the way not just in the house. The democrat voters allowed it when the democrats were in charge the republican voters are allowing it now that the republicans are in charge While you look at it as a loss of democracy, it is actually an exercise in democracy. This is literally what the people voted for, and if they don't agree with it anymore they can change their minds and do something about it during the midterms. But right now that looks like that's not going to happen. So how is this not the will of the people?1 point

After the Soviet Union, Russia could have become a normal democratic European rule of law country getting itself ready for EU membership. Instead it reverted to corruption, authoritarianism and belligerence, a tragedy that may trigger the break-up of Russia itself.1 point

Investigating an attempted coup, you mean. Potato, potato? And it's far from an enemies list. Biden had probably never heard of most of the state level conspirators. And remember that Wray was Trump's hand-picked FBI director. How many people would you find out reasonable to investigate after an attempted coup?1 point

Seriously.... why embellish everything as a conspiracy and/or a total f' job to the world? You come across a pretty smart woman... Why do you laugh at Gates being a philantrophist? The guy has literally given $100 BILLION + to global health. education and climate initiatives and you have a problem with that? Curious to know why you think that's funny. And if you don't take this word for it, google it. Whatchya thinking... is this the grift of all grifts coming at us?1 point

Well, you go start painting over crosswalks and let us know how it works out. LMAO!1 point

Most people would laugh their asses off if they knew they were being painted over to accommodate a combination of older fashioned social conservative throwbacks and modern MAGA chuds. And with so many tongues wagging local authitahs charged with doing the accommodating would become scarce and rather swiftly I suspect.1 point

Wages have not risen nearly as much as costs over the past ten-twenty years. So what we call minimum wage today isn't going to give you near as much as it did twenty years ago. Capitalism functions very well to solve a shortage of workers. You raise your wages until you can attract sufficient capable workers. If that means raising prices, then you do so. Naturally, this means fewer customers. Some places will go under, so there are enough customers to support those who remain at the prices they must charge for workers. That's how Capitalism works. I recognize agriculture is a different situation. Today's young people are rarely in physical condition to do a short stint at bringing in crops and such with any kind of efficiency. They'd be aching and moving like snails halfway through their first shift. That's why we fly in people from the south who do this at home all the time and have the physical condition and experience to do it. I'm fine with that.1 point

I like how Schumer is saying Trump should act unilaterally to pay SNAP when just last week he was decrying Trump for being too much like a king! They don't mind being hypocritical. They don't care at all. They assume the MSM (aka the acting propaganda wing of the DNC) will cover for them.1 point

Canadians will vote the Libs in again - majority or minority gov't, it won't matter. A slim majority of Canadian voters will not learn until their children are in bread lines, dying in hospital hallways or too broke and jobless to survive on their own. We will be Venezuela. I'm kind of with you - if that's what it's going to take, so be it. But voting PPC or NDP is nothing but a vote for the Liberals. Especially if you vote NDP, they're just Libs in disguise. They will support anything and everything Libs do to us in exchange for scraps. They have no long-term vision for Canada other than turning it into a total welfare state. Too many Canadians think socialism, the little sister of communism, is totally gonna work this time. π1 point
