The problem right now for Canada is that the Canadian card is only articulated in superficial terms. I don’t think most Canadians know what the general direction of Canada has been or what the country’s core values were or even should be. That’s a problem. Our own federal Liberal government stopped asserting Canada’s cultural roots and decided that being Canadian means having a big expensive government that makes decisions for how people should think and live, and also decided that the population should stop reproducing itself and rely on immigration for the country’s survival.
