What you and I think about Trump is irrelevant. I happen to like his wife but I'm pretty sure that is too. What matters is Iran having nuclear weapons; either that's OK with you or it isn't. Since you oppose the intervention I'm simply asking what you would have done; if the answer is nothing, why do you think nothing is a reasonable course of action given Iran's history and rhetoric? I happen to believe that they would use any and all means to reach out and touch Israeli, and I would believe that whether Trump did or not... even if Melania and I exchanged Christmas cards. In addition, the people of Iran would pay a huge price for the action of a rogue regime that most of them despise... they don't deserve that. Who knows though, maybe you can convince us that the enrichment program was in support of a watch making industry that offered glow in the dark hands. I bet you can't convince Iranian citizens of it though.2 points

Don't you dare to speak on behalf of nation of Iran. Nation of Iran has no quarrel with either the US or Israel. They are a peaceful nation who love both Americans and Israelis and wish a close relationship. And they want this f*cking Islamic Republic regime go to hell.2 points

Enrichment of Uranium is not some binary thing, like its enriched or not... making a nuclear weapon requires a great deal of enrichment and a great deal of centrifuges to do this... Stop playing dumb. You are not fooling us. It only makes you look dishonest. Oh wow... look at you, typing up a bunch of words as if that makes any of this smart or accurate. We are not invading Iran, we do not have 100,000 troops there occupying them like Iraq. Your comparison is absurd nonsense on its face.2 points

Well, you appear to be a bit of a lying sack, so I'm definitely not choosing yours When left alone, Israel tends to leave people alone. When left alone, Hamas and Iran and the other proxies tend to look for new and exciting ways to kill people including Canadians and Americans. If those other groups laid down their arms tomorrow there would be peace. If Israel laid down its arms tomorrow there would be a new holocaust.2 points

At 2:30 am Tehran time, the US used the 14 tons bombs to completely destroyed Islamic Republic nuclear sites at Fordow (80 m underground), Natanz and Isfahan. It must not end here. The attacks must continue till regime collapses by the people otherwise this regime can resume making the bomb as they have the knowledge and accelerate fast towards a bomb in revenge. Israel must heavily bomb the security forces and the oppressive Sepah until such time that the people of Iran are empowered to rise up without being massacred and topple this murderous terrorist regime and free Iran and the whole world from this cancerous organ in the world.1 point

Trump phone call - He's in a negotiation dumb f*ck. He has no obligation to tell the country or anyone else the play by play and strategy of his conversations. Why would or should he? I'm not sure what's more comical.... the tabloid girl from the Toronto Sun and her two equally clueless guests, or the clowns that watch that sh*t and think it's newsworthy. The one clown....this is "a big whopper" LOL...are you serious! Warming up to Thunderstruck - seriously....this has you concerned if he did or didn't? What if he did with his old timers team? Paul Martin - no comment there as he didn't work with him. I'm over it.... Brookfield - Bruce Flatt is the CEO and ultimately his decision to move BAM to NYC. Next.... The veracity of this nonsense - on a scale of 1 to 10, somewhere between 0 and 11 point

Flyer....Not sure what you don't like about it, was it the source it is a CBC source approved by all those that voted left, actually a preferred source by the left.......was it the fact that you were spreading false news and got caught, i mean there is a lot of info out there to discredit anyone including PP you really don't need to make up stuff...and the fact it was not approved by the CBC is just sad, because they normally approve of anything that slanders the right in most cases.... You know it is really bad when taxme gives it a down arrow...i mean come on the local redneck/racist gives you the arrow you know you f*cked up some where....1 point

Why are there so many lefty's on here denouncing US military action on Iran....Is it because you hate Israel so much your willing to overlook how evil the Iranian regime is ... the same regime that used small children to demine mine fields in combat...or was it the fact they used children as assault troops during their conflict with Iraq..or maybe their support of dozens of terrorist groups all over the middle east to reek havoc everywhere they are...If there was one nation on the globe that deserved this kick to the gonads it is Iran...not sure why you or the rest of your gang is whining about, sit back and enjoy the show....grab so popcorn maybe this will be the next big hollywood movie starring Arnold, or sly...or just maybe bringing back Chuck Norris...1 point

If Trump succeeds to remove this cancerous regime from the world then he deserves much more than a Nobel peace price. He saves the world.1 point

FINISH THEM OFF. Anything other than a complete collapse of this brutal terrorist regime is a defeat for Israel and the free world and catastrophic for the nation of Iran. They will accelerate to building a bomb fast and they go on revenge against the nation of Iran with thousands of executions. Do not abandon your allies, the people of Iran.1 point

Shitty all the way around for this child and family, but the government hasn't killed the child. The drug is considered no longer effective for her current situation. To blame this on the BC government as a disregard for human rights is only reading headlines, and disregarding the unfortunate facts.1 point

This is the exact sort of argument that might have been made on behalf of the Japanese or Germans in WW2 if anyone in the world had been dumb enough to start campaigning on their behalf even as the West was trying to retake France and Italy, and starting to bomb Japan. It's not THEIR fault! It's just their government! Well, if you know of a way to just attack their government and not them, please let the world know. Also, do you recall that ever happening anywhere in the world ever in history? And a bunch more voted for other terrorist groups. You forget that part? It was certainly more than 50% who voted for terrorists. When was the last government in Canada elected with more than 50% of the vote? Mulroney, wasn't it? Have all the rest been illegitimate?1 point

Carney blaming Netanyahu's war policies is the height of arrogance and ignorance. How would HE run the war? How would HE attack? None of the Western leaders criticizing Israel have any suggestions to make about doing things differently other than to back off and let Hamas reconstitute itself so it can attack again.1 point

No, read it again. the child is going to die anyway. the drug won't help her, it just controls her seizures and they can do that with other drugs which are less expensive. This drug cost a million a year and won't do her any more good. Drug coverage to be discontinued for Langford girl - Victoria Times Colonist Yeash dude, i've got some serious issues with our medical system but i think you'll have a hard time selling this as a human rights violation1 point

Yes. She was a bad candidate. In part because she wasn't good at her job and in part because she was tied to the worst President in modern history. That's why I say they had a better chance with a more moderate (aka less radical) Democrat wkth some name recognition. Trump's liability is that he makes some people's teeth itch. You've seen it on here. They criticize everything he does regardless of how it makes them look. And that is true for some conservatives and some Republicans. A solid moderate would have had a chance IF they could have started sooner AND put together a coherent, digestible and populist message.1 point

Well and there's the answer. It's fundamentally wrong to blame Trump for enforcing the law. If you don't like the law then demand that the law be changed and propose a new law. Otherwise the law should be enforced1 point

Sure he did. @WestCanMan is entirely correct. Tried to keep them from the debate coverage back then (lawsuit followed rebel won) and kept them out of coverage of his campaign Trudeau accuses far-right website of spreading vaccine misinformation | Canada | The Guardian that's TWICE trudeau tried to keep rebel out of the debate coverage, and TWICE they lost in court which is why the debate commission didn't even bother trying this time. Feel that? That'd be the facts biting you in the ass again Why don't you look things up before you say something that makes you look stupid?1 point

Ya, that's how I see most of it too. Some of it's interesting from a historical and clinical perspective (I guess) but that's about it. At the end of the day you're inevitably left with the here and now and withinin that realm, HAMAS is lock wired into ideologically driven religious objectives and those objectives are most definitely NOT political ones. Political objectives can be negotiated and compromises are possible, those efforts can even happen peacefully. On the other hand, the religious objectives of HAMAS simply can't be negotiated because only the destruction of Israel and rebuilding on the rubble will suffice and I don't see that happening. Do you? Does anyone here? 11 pages in and the real issue remains unaddressed. I've spent a fair bit of time there training and on multiple deployments and I always ask people with strong opinions and little experience in the area the same question.... If you do not support the eradication of HAMAS as a functioning entity, how do you propose to negotiate with them? You either eradicate HAMAS or you negotiate with them and I see the latter option as analogous to the abusive and psychotic ex-husband of your current fiancé who just got out of prison for attempted murder... he has repeatedly vowed to be successful on the next attempt. So.... if y'all got a plan to negotiate with this guy then bring it forward, your Nobel Peace Prize awaits. IMO, anything else, no matter how historically accurate or entertaining is truly: Full marks for entertainment value and historical context, especially the emotionally charged stuff, unfortunately though, stark reality renders it just as academic as the childhood abuses your girl's ex endured 50 years ago. You may sympathize with his history and stolen childhood, but he gets out of jail next week... and sympathy is found in the dictionary somewhere between sh%t and syphilis. Best of luck.1 point

Palestine's Arab neighbours all attacked Israel in 1948. They lost. And there were other skirmished like 1967, and they lost again. They complain about land grabs by Israel, yet the goal of Palestinians and many of their Muslim neighbour countries is to take all of Israel for Muslims. They're hypocrites. Israel should follow international law, but when Arabs complain about it it's a farce because which Arab governments follow international law? Certainly not Hamas. Peace will happen when Palestinian governments and jihadist groups supported by their governments stop attacking Israel and finally want a 2-state solution in good faith, which they've NEVER wanted. Jews are the indigenous people of that land, not Arabs. The Arab Muslim caliphate empire invaded and conquered that land around 640 CE. Arabs need to at least be willing to share the land/cities/buildings that they stole. Thoughts @eyeball?1 point

There is a very marked difference between what easterners and westerners revere. Of course this is 'generally speaking' but it's accurate. Easterners on average have a MUCH higher tolerance for corruption and lies. Look at trudeau and the liberal party and the support they've enjoyed there. Easterners do NOT want basic freedoms. They want highly restricted freedoms and they wish to control what others do. Right down to what they can say on the internet. Westerners do want personal freedoms. They want smaller gov't, less red tape, less interference. Easterners want the gov't to provide. They want the gov't to take money from people and spend it on optional things like DEI programs in africa. Westerners say if you like that kind of stuff donate to a charity that does it, but don't take from everyone else who doesn't believe in it. Westerners believe parents should raise kids. Easterners think that the state should, and this goes back to the 'beer and popcorn' commets almost 20 years ago and continues to this very day, The difference between east and west is night and day.1 point
