CNN Syndrome, aka Propaganda Addiction Syndrome (PAS), is a soon-to-be actual clinical diagnosis (thank me later) for people who followed and regurgitated fake news for so long, and had so many consequential blow-ups with friends and family as a result of the fake news BS they preached to them, that they have no choice but stay dialled in to the drivel train so that they can continue getting new narratives to sustain the false sense of moral and intellectual superiority that is usually their only source of self-esteem. For example, think of all the people who refused to let their own adult children into their homes due to their vax status. And not in a friendly way either, they had serious rows with them. (just in case you still didn't know, Pfizer and Moderna said that they never did any clinical trials to see if the jabs stopped people from being able to spread covid, and they never made any such representations either. So that whole "GET THE VAX TO STOP THE SPREAD/SLOW THE SPREAD" campaign was never based on any science at all. it was just total nonsense. Those people destroyed some of the most meaningful relationships in their lives over false CNN narratives. It's really hard for people to admit that they destroyed their own families based on blatantly false drivel that sucked them in, so they choose to maintain the old charade and move on to the next one instead of coming clean. As long as the supply of blatantly false, stupid narratives keeps coming, the PAS-boys will never run out of nonsensical drivel that frustrates their political opponents. I.e., they'll be able to maintain the illusion of being SJWs as long as they keep saying "CNN SAID _____________!!!! AND I CARE BECAUSE I'M A MORALLY SUPERIOR PERSON AND A SJW!!!!". So now people like @robosmith can say that they have "CNN syndrome", which gives them tons of street cred among the cultist horde, plus they can get some time away from their b1tchin' Starbucks jobs to go wipe feces on Teslas and then lick the windows.2 points

Donald Trump went on Truth Social to denounce the results of the Papal election. Says "I received more votes than any Pope in history!" Called on American Cardinals to find him 'just 40 votes'. Claims there was 'widespread corruption" and voting by hundreds of dead Cardinals! Calls on Magas to march to the Vatican and reverse the count. Vatican immediately begins shuttering windows and barring doors2 points

The King is our head of state. His function as King of Canada is completely separate from his function as King of the UK. It's clearly spelled out in our constitution. Same as Australia and New Zealand. It's odd and it's unique but having a non political head of state, separate from government is a good thing in my opinion. Having Charles open Parliament will send a reminder to Trump and Americans how we are different and why.2 points

Are you still holding on to the idea that Trump is actually smart? He told Carney that Canada doesn't do much business with the US, didn't he? Carney is a career banker, and Trump is a career Carnival Barker. You have this exactly backwards2 points

Thats not what i said....i said signing or saying an oath means nothing it proves nothing....certainly not loyalty...I seen men sign the same oath and refuse to fight alongside their own men....it was a good thing our platoon warrant step up and took over the CSM role... and the MCPL took over fighting the Capts LAV....I guess they forgot the part to swear to defend our nation, foreign or domestically... That oath also works both ways my good friend....it means your country will also be loyal to our soldiers, Airmen , and sailors, and give them the equipment they need to do the job....not the cheapest bullshit, or something that provide the most Canadians jobs....but rather brings our members home to their families safe and sound...And i can give you plenty of examples of how our government failed in all of that....Canada is the last nation to be talking about loyalty... And to be honest....My loyalty laid with my soldiers on the right and left of me....my job was to carry out all assigned tasks and mission to the best of my abilities, and bring my troops back home alive....then came my family, then the Regiment, and in distant last place came my country.... You don't have to do nothing of the sort, when the shit hit the fan, me and my troops knew exactly what to do, flip the switch and kill anything that posed a threat...or looked like a threat I did not have to wonder did they have my back, nor did they have to wonder that i had theirs... Not many Canadian soldiers did not step up when asked to, regardless of race, color, creed, political believes, or allegiance, they did so because we were brothers in arms, we stepped up for each other and our families...had nothing to do with Canada at all,...so don't pull that bullshit with me about questioning my allegiance, last thing i was thinking about while i was over there or in a TIC, was my oath, or my country....it was about the soldiers on the left and right of me...be it Canadian or American or British....and trying to figure out how to kill the enemy the quickest way possible..2 points

So look at other sources. Are you saying Miller didn't actually say those things and ABC is lying when they quote him? He is the senior advisor to the President. He is the Whitehouse. FFS you guys will excuse anything Trump does. Talk about a cult, you are unbelievable. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0qgz18glljo https://apnews.com/article/habeas-corpus-trump-migrants-deportations-constitution-28a598363d03bfc9448b5132c72f2b3d https://www.fox13news.com/news/trump-habeas-corpus-suspension-threat2 points

Poilievre rejects severance offered to defeated MPs after losing Ontario riding - The Globe and Mail If a sitting MP is defeated they have a right to Severance. And there is no requirement to pay it back if they seek re-election elsewhere Pierre is entitled to receive $154,850 in Severance because he lost his riding. He is perfectly eligible for that and MPS get that all the time. There's no requirement to repay it if he runs somewhere else. But instead of demanding that he's entitled to his entitlements he's refusing to take it knowing that he doesn't tend to run again and expects to be back in the house and feels it would be inappropriate to keep the money I rather doubt you'd see a liberal doing that1 point

Absolutely no clue how f*cking stupid the constant use of Marxist liberal globalist babble makes him look. At least the 1960s Maoists and Soviets knew what the jargon they spouted meant.1 point

LOL my bad. I just read the reply and it sounded so much like one of ExFlyer's crying fits i mistook you for him. I'm sure he'll be along again shortly to cry about things himself. My appologies for the confusion. Hey @Barquentine..... (points to exflyer) Told ya The other guy lost slightly less badly. He got a minority. And we had the strongest performance in 35 years. And the libs won't be able to pull that trick again Now, why are you still crying like a baby over this?1 point

They think that 3.2 is a lot because they assume it's now "metric" iq points, Like it's really 3.2 Kilo-q's not just iq's like under the old imperial iq system. The thing that REALLY bothers me is that was a joke but it's actually probably true1 point

Just imagine the nuclear fallout from the usual suspects if Poilievre had invited Charles. There would need to be a 25 mile no go zone around this board.1 point

The only mental illness is Trump and the fools who will justify anything he does no matter how crude or ignorant. One was a crude self aggrandizing AI image Trump posted himself and the other was a joke paraphrasing words he has actually used to make fun of that image. I wouldn't have thought that needed explaining but I underestimated how thick MAGA's can be.1 point

Just a political stunt. Pre-election campaigns cost big money. He gets a big "Like" vote from all Canadians for just $154K while making the rest look bad. You wait and see what happens if he gets elected. It is also very possible the Oil and Gas industry paid him the $154K and asked him to turn the severance down so his chances are better next time around.1 point

This is canada terrorist get a free pass....by the left anyways....Conservatives want to ship their a$$ back to where they came from.... Our nation sent us over to places like Afghanistan to give terrorist like the taliban, Al Quadi, and many more a chance to meet Allah face to face more like a travel agent you could say....your tax dollars hard at work... Of course you'll pass it is much easier to be an army critic when you don't have any experience at seeing your heroes in action, and the aftermath they create... one groups cries and wails in the streets and the other dances and sings in the streets....they take turns doing this for centuries...1 point

Oh for sure, and while it theoretically could possibly go off the rails with the agreement to move forward based on these principles it's likely that there won't be any big surprises. Which is why they released it early so that the markets would have some good news and even if they don't see the situation as 100% stable they see stability around the corner. There were also agreements to remove trades for things like automobiles entering the united states, steel and aluminum, and a bunch of other things. When you look at it the US is not going to come out further ahead, other than this is going to be a bit of a tax for the consumers but it's one that will not likely cause people to move their business from the UK to America. It's just going to make life more expensive for people in America. I remember people are questioning it and wondering if some details will shed light on this issue Probably not with this but it is their intention according to Macklin that they come up with a number of deals that they can use in templates to speed things along. How? As near as I can tell from all of the analysis of what we know so far, it's just putting a small tax on American consumers. It will potentially theoretically allow for a small increase in beef sales, but I just don't see how this is a particularly net benefit to the USA. Other than it will produce a small amount of tax revenue. But that will weigh down the economy. And I don't think people are going to like the idea of the republicans being the new tax and spend party You would have to show me a significant benefit and I'm just not seeing it. It's just appears to be a tax. It's not enough to cause a company to justify moving its operations. It will benefit farmers a small amount but not much. It mostly just imposes a 10 percent sales tax on usa consumers for next to no benefit Here's ben shapiro explaining: It's a shame you never ask if it's relevant or honest Mind you we'd never hear from you then.1 point

I don't know that and neither do you. The optics would be really bad for someone who still has aspirations for the big job. I'm not judging his integrity, just saying it is also an astute political move. If Carney is as good as his word about expediting a bye election, it won't be long before he is back in the house. We have seen a side of PP since the election was lost that we hadn't seen before. If he had shown it before, perhaps the conservatives wouldn't have lost. If he keeps it up, I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually does become PM.1 point

That's not funny. What IS funny, is wokeness sluts trying to keep criminal invaders in this country. Wokeness sluts like this guy: Judge James "no-balls" Boasberg, is fighting to keep tren de aragua in America. Laken Riley, and others, being slaughtered by these wild animals just isn't enough for his appetite for destruction. He needs more... Thankfully, impeachment proceedings seem to be already in motion. https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-resolution/229/text1 point

No, I have just read a lot of comments from them. In Italy, they call him "brutta figura" which means "makes a bad impression, or makes a fool of himself. Read the comments on those Instagram posts. The most common comment from Americans is "This is so embarrassing." Um, he has said it. He said, "I run the country, and I run the world." Republicans in the House Judiciary Committee: - rejected an amendment requiring the government to abide by the Constitution and provide due process before removing anyone from the U.S. and sending them to a torture prison in El Salvador. - voted to allow Trump to allow ICE to continue detaining and deporting U.S. citizens to a foreign country. - voted to impose a cruel $3,500 government fee on families taking in unaccompanied children who arrive in the U.S. - refused to stop Trump’s Department of Justice from firing military veterans without cause - voted to allow Trump to use U.S. taxpayer dollars to send Americans to foreign dictators’ jails. This doesn't even get into Trump attacking judges. - voted to defund courts’ power to hold Administration officials in contempt for violating court orders and the rights and freedoms of the American people. - voted to allow immigration raids at elementary schools. - supported Trump’s assault on the constitutional right of all children born in America to citizenship, under the 14th Amendment. - voted against allowing just .05% of the funding provided under their bill to be used to conduct oversight and root out waste, fraud, and abuse. - voted to support ICE’s violation of the First Amendment and due process rights of students at American colleges and universities. - endorsed detaining and deporting students at U.S. colleges and universities for holding views the Administration dislikes under a Cold War-era statute so extreme Donald Trump’s own sister called it “unconstitutional…on its face.” - voted to allow ICE to conduct raids on houses of worship. - voted to allow the ICE to hire January 6 rioters who beat cops as they breached the Capitol and attempted to overthrow an election by force. - supported the use of taxpayer dollars to arrest Supreme Court justices for their legal opinions. - refused to require ICE agents to identify themselves when conducting immigration enforcement actions. - voted to allow this Administration to ship anyone, including U.S. citizens, off to the military base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. - rejected an amendment to prevent the use of tax returns filed with the IRS to round up and deport taxpaying, law-abiding individuals. - supported the mass deportation of farm workers in the U.S., who keep food on our shelves. - rejected funding to provide lawyers to unaccompanied children facing immigration proceedings. - voted to allow ICE to indefinitely detain families. - refused to require ICE to consider U.S. military veterans’ service in deportation proceedings - refused to require DOJ to reinstate critical grants that support law enforcement, crime prevention, opioid addiction treatment, and victims of violent crime. - voted to deport DACA recipients—undocumented immigrants brought to this country as children. - rejected four amendments to scale back waste and excessive spending in Republicans’ funding bill, including $250 million on new cars. - voted to give CBP and HHS $40 million to strip search children. - voted to allow immigration raids in shelters for victims of domestic violence.1 point
