These arguments are so dumb on their face. Nothing was stopping China from giving all the $$$ to foreign aid they wanted to before this. Also, all aid is not being stopped. The department was moved to State under Rubio and they kept on some 800ish employees that will remain focused on continuing with aid aligned with foreign policy. What exactly did Trump do or say that opened the door to annexation? Exactly what plans to cede renewable energy tech markets to China? It is comical though, how now you guys thing China is a big threat we have to deal with...2 points

WRONG. The FACT is, there are two sexes: MALE and FEMALE. The males have their bathrooms and locker rooms, and the women have theirs. Anything outside of this is inappropriate and should be dealt with HARSHLY.2 points

Trump is the major factor. He can seriously damage Poilievre’s chances if he goes all out against us. In that case, there’ll be support for the Libs right across the political spectrum including from many who haven’t voted in a while and disillusioned Liberal voters who might have sat this one out. Plus Danielle Smith might be a little preoccupied with events closer to home to play at Trump whisperer again. Best case for PP is that this round of tariffs is the last, the whole disgraceful story peters out and he glides in on what’s left of his lead. Has anybody asked Trump about the political effect he is having up here?2 points

That's kind of a different topic, but it's not just Islamic terrorists that oppose the lgbtq+- gang, it's the entire Muslim world. But the topic is waste in USAID. They are not alone as I'm sure there is likely a huge amount of waste in every country's foreign aid budget.1 point

You will say Clinton raped women (which I agree with) even though there is way less evidence he did. But you accept that because it’s Clinton. You can’t accept it for Trump because you’re a cuck who wants him to invade your elderly shut-in butthole.1 point

Another great way to tell that you know you're wrong is that you generally wait for some amount of time to pass and then try and restart the argument that you've already lost when you think people won't be bothered to go back and see you're full of shit. I don't even need to know what you two were talking about and i can tell you know you're full of it I'm not making anything up. You actually literally do the things I said that you did and you do it all the time. Everybody is aware of this. I frequently pointed out and make fun of it. And it happens so often with such fervor it's impossible not to believe that you've got some serious mental health issues over it, probably stemming from some sort of event or confusion in your life that you can't reconcile. Which is fine, everybody's got their problems. But it'd be great if you could make your problems not be our problem1 point

Let's do the math here. Scanning 7 million containers per year at an average cost of $3500 each = $24.5 billion dollars to save 8000 people per year is around $3 million each. But let's say we're actually trying to save 350,000 Canadians who are addicted to opioids...that works out to $70,000 each. How much are you willing to pay?1 point

Out of scale? So, you think Israel should have sent men over to gun down an equal number of Palestinian families in their homes? Slaughter a bunch of young adults at a party? Tortured, raped, and then taken a proportionate number of random innocent people as hostages? In what world does that make any sense?1 point

Hamas is a horrible terrorist group who murdered some innocents. Israel is a well-armed nation who responded out of scale. They had a war but it's only the latest stage of wars between and the young nation of Israel, established 1948. 1. I believe that Hamas is the aggressor in this latest war, agreed. 2.1 point

USAID is (was) a slush fund for DEI and other woke bullshit. Let's check it out: For decades, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been unaccountable to taxpayers as it funnels massive sums of money to the ridiculous — and, in many cases, malicious — pet projects of entrenched bureaucrats, with next-to-no oversight. Here are only a few examples of the WASTE and ABUSE: $1.5 million to “advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities” $70,000 for production of a “DEI musical” in Ireland $2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam $47,000 for a “transgender opera” in Colombia $32,000 for a “transgender comic book” in Peru $2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala $6 million to fund tourism in Egypt Hundreds of thousands of dollars for a non-profit linked to designated terrorist organizations — even AFTER an inspector general launched an investigation Millions to EcoHealth Alliance — which was involved in research at the Wuhan lab “Hundreds of thousands of meals that went to al Qaeda-affiliated fighters in Syria” Funding to print “personalized” contraceptives birth control devices in developing countries Hundreds of millions of dollars to fund “irrigation canals, farming equipment, and even fertilizer used to support the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan,” benefiting the Taliban The list literally goes on and on — and it has all been happening for decades. https://www.whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/2025/02/at-usaid-waste-and-abuse-runs-deep/1 point

Ridiculous that this question has been going on and on and on here. There are TWO main parts to sexulality, the genitals and the brain. There are male and female genitals (ignoring the extreme outliers). There are male and female brains (much more complex and ambiguous). They are NOT always synchronized when developing in the womb because they develop at different times and one is more sensitive to epigenetics (brain) than than the other. The FACT is, individuals DECIDE which identity feels comfortable to them, and it's no one else's business.1 point

Russia left East Germany in return for guarantees that NATO wouldn't move 1 inch past Germany. The US and other major NATO countries' representatives made the same assurances. NATO broke their part of the bargain long before Russia did. True. However, robosmith wasn't talking about NATO expansion in the post you're responding to, but the Budapest Memorandum. From what I've read, the U.S. broke the Budapest agreement back in 2014. An introduction to the Budapest Memorandum, from Wikipedia's page on the subject: ** The Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances comprises three substantially identical political agreements signed at the OSCE conference in Budapest, Hungary, on 5 December 1994, to provide security assurances by its signatories relating to the accession of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). The three memoranda were originally signed by three nuclear powers: Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom.[1] China and France gave somewhat weaker individual assurances in separate documents.[2] The memoranda, signed in Patria Hall at the Budapest Convention Center with U.S. Ambassador Donald M. Blinken amongst others in attendance,[3] prohibited Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom from threatening or using military force or economic coercion against Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, "except in self-defence or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations." As a result of other agreements and the memorandum, between 1993 and 1996, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons.[4][5] ** From the same article, the first of the Memorandum's points was: ** Respect the signatory's independence and sovereignty in the existing borders (in accordance with the principles of the CSCE Final Act).[7] ** The United States broke this agreement when it played a crucial role in the overthrow Victor Yanukovych, who had been the elected President of Ukraine in 2014. A good article on the United States' role in Yanukovych's overthrow can be seen here: https://off-guardian.org/2022/02/24/timeline-euromaidan-the-original-ukraine-crisis/1 point

No formal deals were made by anyone with power to make them that said NATO would never move an inch to the East. I think you're essentially agreeing with Nationalist, which is basically that if an official agreement isn't made, the United States can't be trusted. As I pointed out in my previous post, the U.S. can't even be trusted if it makes formal deals: https://qz.com/1273510/all-the-international-agreements-the-us-has-broken-before-the-iran-deal I think it's become apparent that the only thing the U.S. respects is military prowess, so Russia is obliging in that regard.1 point

LOl - TRUDEAU even bought THAT pipeline when it was abandoned by exasperated investors! And to think............... We could've had it for FREE! Instead...... Remember this fiasco? Liberals to buy Trans Mountain pipeline for $4.5B to ensure expansion is built Canadian public could also incur millions to construct expansion project with estimated price tag of $7.4B https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/liberals-trans-mountain-pipeline-kinder-morgan-1.4681911 Without the silly bureaucracy that drove away the owners.......the Trans Mountain pipeline could've been operating, and fully established by now! IF EVER we're going to see this new pipe line they're now talking about - which would more likely be just another costly pipe dream if we have another Liberal government - we're coming in too late in the game! He did cancel the EU trade agreement, but he had good reason. Quoting from Kit Knightly's Off Guardian article once more: ** SEPTEMBER The Ukrainian cabinet unanimously approves the draft of the long-awaited Ukraine-EU Association Agreement. Yanokuych is expected to officially sign the agreement at the EU’s “Eastern Partnership Summit” in Vilnius on November 28th and 29th. Russia – Ukraine’s major creditor and biggest trade partner – warns that this treaty would “cause chaos”, break the terms of an existing treaty between Ukraine and Russia, and lead to Ukraine’s economy collapsing. As a counteroffer, they suggest Ukraine sign a new deal with the Eurasian Economic Union. NOVEMBER The Ukrainian government issues a decree suspending preparations for the association agreement (AA). Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Boyko warns the current terms of the agreement would “seriously damage the economy”. “Pro European” demonstrations begin in Maidan square within days of the decree being issued. A poll run by the Kyiv Post finds an even split on joining the EU vs the Eurasian customs union: 39% for, 37% against. ** To Yanukovych's credit, despite suspending preparations for the Association Agreement, he still tries to find a middle ground. The West, on the other hand, has other plans. Continuing Kit Knightly's article: ** Yanukovych attends the Eastern Partnership Summit on the 28th, but does not sign the Association Agreement, instead suggesting a new tri-lateral agreement between Ukraine, Russia and the EU. Russia is open to negotiating such a deal, but EU rejects this offer completely. Despite not signing the AA, Yanukovych tells the press that Ukraine still intends to work for closer ties with the EU: “an alternative for reforms in Ukraine and an alternative for European integration do not exist…We are walking along this path and are not changing direction”. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov echoed this: “I affirm with full authority that the negotiating process over the Association Agreement is continuing, and the work on moving our country closer to European standards is not stopping for a single day”. Nevertheless, this is ubiquitously covered in the Western media as Yanukovych “refusing to sign the association agreement in favour of closer ties with Russia”. **1 point

Ah, a version of the new rule 6. I'm glad I added it. Your assertions were void of reality. They aren’t cutting waste. There’s no careful audit going on, no attempt to determine where there’s poor ROI or anything of the sort. they’re slashing entire departments and agencies wholesale for ideological reasons because they want to destroy the federal government as a functional entity. If you think they’re doing that because they want to increase efficiency and direct spending to essential services you’re a massive rube.1 point
