You did try to define the word. No, for a while now, I've been pointing out that a great deal of people -already- define words like man and woman as anyone who identifies as a man or a woman. You're simply a part of the anti-gender movement who, as Wikipedia states, "views advances in gender inclusion and LGBT rights as threats to traditional family structures, religious values, and established norms". Fine, but you should at least acknowledge the fact for more than the few seconds that it takes for you to say this. If you -did-, then you'd have to admit that I'm not "trying" to define new definitions for gender and gender terms. I'm simply pointing out that they've already been defined in the ways I describe for quite some time now, to the point that even the FDA is using these new definitions.

Also ... MY opinion ... Such major social forces such as religion can't be easily assessed for their impact on daily life. However, given the moral and metaphysical implications there definitely must be major effects and they're not going to be obvious either. I would submit that the so-called culture wars are an echo of the ecumenical clashes that were common in public life in past centuries. I once did some research on the churches in my small Ontario hometown and found, in the microfilms, evidence of viscous fights between the Presbyterians, Anglicans, and Methodists (these were pre-United Church days) over placement, and land allocation with the same accusations of elitism and favour with the elite classes. "God is dead, and we have killed him" said the philosopher. And he knew that there would a horrible period where humans would grasp for meaning and - for a time - find none. Really. Funny how every single time we have a gun ban or new gun laws gun crime goes up. They are correct. But what they don't mention is how these things actually do impact violent crime rates. And like I said we have frequently seen violent crime go up right after new gun legislation is introduced First, they pull incredibly important resources away from the fight against violence. There is a limited amount of legislative time, money, resources, and police. When you set them to working on how to collect lawful firearms from lawful owners you take away resources that are necessary to actually fight violent crime and you completely distract from or ignore that debate and topic. And of course time goes up Secondly you make illegal guns sound cool to the bad guys. When you go on and on about how you can kill hundreds of people with a single pull of the trigger if you have a handgun you make carrying an illegal handgun that much cooler for those who will break the law anyway. And we see more and more illegal guns brought into our country as a result. The anti-gun fight costs lives. It has cost lives before and it has cost lives again under Trudeau. When you combine it with soft laws on criminals, mandatory bail and such then you wind up with the disaster we see today

The suspect is a 42 year old Muslim from Texas. It's believed that he had an ISIS flag, but this looks like it was the act of a lone man, and not actions of the group.

This is absolutely horrible. The cops at this time are saying that they don't think it's a terrorist act, but as always is the case we can expect the story to change two or three times over the next few days is more information becomes available. Sounds like the guy managed to Wing two cops too but it sounds like they'll be okay thankfully. What an absolutely devastating way to start the new year. It'll be interesting if they can find a motive or not or if the guys just a random nut bar.
