I have User on ignore too, but I have a bad habit, of clicking on the name of the person. I really should not engage.2 points

A simple solution is to not ignore people, it is rather rude.2 points

What BS? After all the school shootings in the past ten years, exactly what has been done to prevent them? I have never said people want kids to die, just that not being willing to change anything must mean they think the body count is acceptable because they know it will happen again and again. Convince me otherwise.2 points

That's great. Next step is to ascribe any problems he does cause to other sources. For example, Nancy Pelosi.2 points

The only one with topnotch leadership skills to lead us, especially through this dark times, is Pierre Poilievre. First of all, Canada wouldn't be in such a mess without Trudeau's enablers in Chrystia Freeland, Jagmeet Singh and Yves Blanchet. They've all done their part in propping up Trudeau! All those who had stood by Trudeau, had propped him up and had caused so much damage to Canada. If Carney was an adviser to Trudeau - then, he's one of them too! They all have to OWN that! Why do I say Poilievre's the only option as Prime Minister? He's got the INITIATIVE that the other opposition leaders don't have. Some anti-Poilievre are ciriticizing him for writing the letter to the Gov Gen, urging her to use her authority to recall Parliament. I say, There's nothing for Poilievre to lose in trying. RIGHT? Given the gravity of our situation.......................at least, give him points for trying to do something! Even if it's just for trying! Obviously....... He is a fighter! He didn't just say, "Meh. I can't do that. The GOV-GEN won't go for it." Everyone is calling this tariff, a 5-alarm fire. Lol, given that there will be Carbon Tax coming too...................................you could really say, it's existential threat for many Canadians! Lol - if your house is gonna burn down, wouldn't you try anything and everything to save it? If Poilievre thinks the country is in a dire situation - to promptly act on it, and try every avenue he possibly can, to get us an early election....................... ...................just shows his STRONG leadership! He doesn't quit or give up easily! Imho - that's the kind of leader we need.............................. especially at a time like this!1 point

Dad Arrested After Man Accused of Raping His Teen Daughter Was Killed This is a nuanced case and not as clear cut as the title. However, the daughter was groomed, lured and raped. The dad found them and a car chased ensued. The dad killed the rapist claiming self defense. I have to say, if I was the judge, I'd have a hard time letting this go to trial.1 point

Thief, I identify as Scott75, please stop using my name in vain. You shall now be "Scottish drinker of rum with 75 radio's"1 point
-
You would have chosen "I identify as something else", as you think you are a "cisgender man" when you're really just a man whose been brainwashed by trans activists. A woman is just a woman. Your mom is a woman. You know this because she gave birth to you, and only women can give birth to human beiings - it's how we perpetuate our species. I hope this helps you.1 point

Nonsense. There would be no purpose in that. Do you know how political party's receive donations. Donating is tightly controlled by Elections Canada. The maximum yearly total donation from an individual to a federal political party is $1725 for 2024. Nobody can make a larger donation to a party. Corporations or billionaires don't control or finance political parties in Canada. So your claim is bogus. Limits on Contributions – 2024 – Elections Canada The Conservative Party is made up of a large number of members who donate and who chooses the leader and determines policies through the conventions. Nothing to do with billionaires. That is pure NDP BS.1 point

Hard to compensate for the war crimes of opposing forces, this is multi layered (several separate threads actually) and they're doing much better than expected in a challenging, high density, urban environment.1 point

This whole issue is an exercise in hypocrisy. These same people would freak out if you were a white person who decided to identify as black. Or a 20 year old who identified as 65 and demanded a pension and senior's discounts. Or a healthy person who identified as disabled and wanted to park wherever they liked. Even they would look at any of that and say "no, that's stupid". And in fact this has come up with people who claim they they truly feel that they are black and are a black person in a white body. They were completely pummeled by the left. There's not a shred of consistency in their logic or arguments, and they are absolute hypocrites. Again we see the hypocrisy. It's like "THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR NAME CALLING YOU BASTARD!" Like, they don't even see it.1 point
-
The real absurdity here is that he only wants trans people to be able to identify as they like... for the vast majority of the rest of us normal people, we must accept being called cisgender.1 point
-
Says who? Based on what? Can you show where he's tried to do that before? And that's pretty rich coming from someone who supported a party that literally tried to interfere with the justice system on behalf of their corporate friends Dumb bag party and your friends are going down. Canadians are sick of your lies and your dishonesty. So Poilievre is in fact the only choice for people who believe in honest government Your own party got caught receiving free gifts and holidays from a major lobbyist, tried to interfere with the court system on behalf of one of the largest corporations in Canada, has been funneling single sourced contract money and "slush funds" to non-governmental organizations who their buddies with. And that's not just the leader It's hard to imagine what Poilievre could do that is more billionaire friendly than what your own party has already done and condoned1 point

It's the weekend. He's always like this on the weekends. Weekends are drinky time.1 point

You are making my point. You only want to punish those that are not going to do harm rather than save lives. It's all about control.1 point

1. Shouldn't that say "I'm not homosexual, I'm normal ?" I don't think so. I think the point Dana was trying to make is that back in the day, people took offense to the term heterosexual, but now it's become normal and that eventually, the same will happen with the term cisgender. I think Dana would agree with you? To be honest, I'm not really sure what the issue is here, so I can't be sure :-p. Lol :-). To be fair, it wasn't me, it was Dana. Dana's certainly sounded righteous, but that doesn't mean she's right on that point. Honestly, I haven't looked into a lot of this 'patriarchy' business and I definitely think that some feminists can go too far.1 point

I was curious about this so I googled and this was the first graph I found. Dealing with one of the top safety risks is not fear mongering. https://www.kff.org/mental-health/issue-brief/child-and-teen-firearm-mortality-in-the-u-s-and-peer-countries/1 point

People don't get the scale of the our school system, there are over 100k schools and over 49million students in the US the chances that you would actually be shot in a schools shooting is miniscule. 101 students were wounded with 21 fatalities and that includes gang related shootings and not just your disgruntled student.1 point

Nonsense. Never read or heard anything like that. Just pure imagination.1 point
-
They don't fear going to school. You are more likely to get by lightning than be shot at a school.1 point
-
Well, folks like you don’t seem to have the first clue about self defense or responding to threats. The way that an active shooter is stopped… is to have someone there to stop them. Otherwise, they keep killing people until they want to stop or they can’t continue. You are more interested in hating guns than protecting kids.1 point
-
Interesting. You spend a lot of time talking about me with others? Some secret fan club you have going? LOL1 point

Try reading who he was responding to. You are blinded by your hard-on for me.1 point

If they didn't yell about guns then they'd have to look at the real problems and nobody's got that kind of time 🙄1 point
-
So, again, you would rather see dead children, all the dead children a bad guy wants to kill before he decides to stop or runs out of ammo... because you don't want anyone to shoot back? Brilliant.1 point
-
The issue is protecting kids. I am all for that. You... would rather see them die, because you want to sensationalize putting an SRO into a school as making them a 3rd world fortress.1 point
-
Worse, he would rather see them dead than try and stop the killers. A whole bunch of solutions to help catch killers before they become murderers was proposed in this thread and he blew them all off. I provided tons of proof, some only days old, of children being killed in schools and elsewhere by things that weren't guns and showed that it's actually fairly common. So banning guns would not help. But he ignores this. He is absolutely fine with dead people and dead children provided he can speak against guns. The children themselves mean nothing to him. He would be very sad if people stopped killing children with guns because he'd have less chance to rail against them.1 point

Musk is probably going to try everything in his power to get them elected, including funding their candidates. It's now know that Musk and his parents, were very pro-Apartheid, and especially his mother, is a White Supremacist.1 point

In the case of David Milgaard, it was known for years that he probably did not commit the crime. The real killer, Larry Fischer, was renting the basement of a man in Saskatoon Milgaard on two friends went to see. The two friends were coerced, into changing their story to implicate Milgaard. What is even worse, is that Fischer was a serial rapist, and spent most of his life in prison for brutal rapes he committed. Milgaard was only 15 when the murder happened, and was not released until 1992, over 23 years later. DNA testing later exonerated him completely, and led to the conviction of Larry Fischer. The Tragically Hip wrote a song about the Milgaard case, called "Wheat Kings."1 point

You ignored what I said on multiple opportunities and absolutely inferred people wanted kids to die. And now I got you to renounce that b.s. until you realized what you were doing.1 point

That sentiment is right in line with things Hillary and Biden said about Trump supporters. A lot of those same people voted Democrat in 2020 but clearly were not happy with 4 years of Biden/Harris. When voters are disparaged like that, it won't endear them to the candidate who is trashing them.1 point
-
LOL i'm so stealing that That's because they're aware that biden's policies have already set conditions for a recession and they're trying to 'pre blame' it on trump So the bad news is they're going to be doing that with virtually every candidate and president the republicans put forward for the rest of time Trust me the next guy will be worse than trump as far as they say1 point

Given Islam wants to destroy Christianity - as well as Judaism - I would think it every Christian's duty to support the Israelis who stand at the borders of civilization defending it from the barbarism of Islamic fanatics.1 point

A simple way to reduce the number of murders in Canada is to deport anyone who wasn't born here who commits a crime and never let them back. We could also put people who commit acts of violence in prison for long periods of time to discourage them from doing progressively more violent acts. Get rid of Gladue and all that garbage about racial sentencing. You do the crime, you do the time. And I don't care if your daddy abandoned you at birth or your grandma went to residential school or you started doing drugs as a kid. You are what you are and that's what we have to deal with.1 point

This attitude coming from the pseudo-intellectuals of the Democratic side indicate a tendancy to repeat the same errors as before instead of involving into a party designed to protect workers. It's a losing attitude that created a popular vote election win for the Republicans in 2024. A first in 20 years.1 point

The Lancet's editors also published the "study" that "showed" that giving people HCQ actually made their outcomes worse, and then after the MSM wielded it like the baton of justice for a week or so, the study was retracted. The Lancet is just a go-to for vax propaganda.1 point

As usual, you have to politicize everything. From what this article says, the guy seems like a real PoS and will not be missed. I am certainly not defending him. However I will play devil's advocate in pointing out. !: When someone is shot and killed, we just can't ignore it based on what we feel. 2: Charges do not equal convictions 3: Messy as it can be, we have due process and rule of law to determine what actually happened and act accordingly. 4: We don't convict and execute people on the basis of what we read in the paper or see on a cable news clip. I've always considered myself to be someone to the right of centre but if the right no longer believes in this, it is the right that has changed, not me.1 point

I don't think you understand what interference means. If speaking in favor of one party or another is interference than Trudeau interfere with the American election to a great degree. If all you mean is that he intends to say that Trudeau is a lunatic and Poilievre would be better then I'm sure that's true considering he's already said that. Whether that swings people in favor of or against Poilievre is questionable. But i do love that you're working hard already to blame the loss on anyone but the liberals and their horrible track record1 point

GP Moran, David Milgaard, Claude Paquin, Steven Truscott, Donald Marshall. Just a few of those convicted of 1st degree murder and later found innocent. They would all be dead if you had your way.1 point
