The big fat one in the middle is supposed to represent Jesus? Does that mean we will see it crucified during the closing ceremonies?2 points

Well the airlines is appologizing to the person for the incident and saying it was not the level of service their customers can expect - so it kind of sounds like the flight attendant is at fault here.2 points

People should be put in jail for attacking the police and defacing memorials. Absolutely, positively. And it does not matter one bit whether they’re liberal, conservative, Christian, Nazi.2 points

Lol...we got us a Simone "I didn't think there would be pressure at the Olympics" Biles here, doing some major back bends and flips. It isn't the he people used in the representation that was the problem. It was the clear intent to incite anger. It was the blatant bigotry. This wasn't a reimagination of the last super, it was an intentional bastatrdization. The director thought he was highlighting bigotry, he just didn't know it was his own.2 points

You dont ask questions. You make accusations in the form of a question. Those questions are always based on a false premise. Rebound did the same thing. He used the false premise that Republicans always lie (with the implication Democrats don't [that is a laugher]) and the complete lie that Trump is afraid to debate Kamala just because he's negotiating terms of the debate. You, though, run away from every conversation, deny facts, attack users and run away when the conversations get tough. I have yet to see you make a sentient or competent argument.2 points

I agree, and flight attendants deal with hundreds and hundreds of customers day in and day out and one of them accidently says "sir," the captain of the plane is not going to take the extrodinary step of banning the passenger. It's not impossible, but it's just extremely unlikely barely plausible. Clearly more ocurred that got her in trouble.2 points

I thought you guys would be fine with Sharia law in the US? 😉2 points

Classic Shlthead Trump — You can always tell what he’s done wrong, because he accuses someone of doing that very thing. Yesterday, the twice-impeached 34-time convicted felon claimed that Kamala isn’t qualified to be President because “she’s committing crimes.” Yes, a convicted criminal felon claims that committing crime is a disqualification for the Presidency. What a piece of dogshlt.1 point

While I don't doubt that there are political hacks who wrongly accuse women in politics of being whores, prostituting themselves, selling their bodies to advance their careers or whatever you would prefer to call it, that doesn't mean it never happens, and it's just a well-known fact that in this instance she slept with him and he gave her lucrative political appointments. I'll lock that down in quotes for you: "Kamala Harris was granted two lucrative political appointments from 60-yr-old Willie Brown when she was a 29-yr-old who was having sex with him". It's undeniable. That 100% happened. There's literally no doubt about it whatsoever. USA today on the Harris-Brown relationship: Among the issues that followed Harris from her time with Brown was the allegation of cronyism in his appointment of her to two well-paying posts. Two things there: Allegation of cronyism (that means an accusation that he gave things to people based on their relationship to him instead of their merits) "his appointment of her to two well-paying posts". That's a statement of fact, indicating that he actually did appoint her to those spots unilaterally, and the positions were lucrative. Sure, you can say that "maybe he didn't just give her those appointments because he was banging her like a Salvation Army drum", but he didn't give her any political appointments before she started having sex with him, and there were over 30M people in California that he could have given those appointments to, but he gave them both to her. It's quite rude of you to accuse me of casting aspersions here when all I'm doing is bringing the facts to light.1 point

I do not in any way defend the carbon tax. To blame it on trudeau is not quite fair though. Some provinces had it before he made it a national issue and some province do not get anything from the feds for it because they have their own and all they collect is for themselves. PP will get so much pressure, if he "axe the tax" he will very soon thereafter have something quite simlar in place. Again, I am not sure what "tech" you are talking abotu and for what? As for tree planting. Nothing new here. I am from BC and as a young person way back in the stone age (?) we were planting trees. I did it for 3 days and said this is the crappiest job ever and quit LOL. The logging companies were mandated to plant a lot more trees than they cut. That has been going on forever.1 point

They've admitted to it. So. Sounds like the lies are all in YOUR head Now that we know it was all about the last supper, i guess we can put your sad gaslighting attempt to rest No, it seems like it was pretty offensive to the pro Christians as well. Here's a little hint for life. If you have to lie to make your point then you don't have a very good point. And that's all you've been doing so far. Why don't you actually address the issues. This was very clearly about the last supper, it was very clearly meant to be a bit of a mockery of the last supper, it has offended christians. These things are not particularly debatable at this point. So was that appropriate? Is that the purpose of the Olympic Games? Is it something that perhaps we should speak out about because it's inappropriate? Or is it actually a good thing to use international events like that to promote your divisive politics? Would we be okay with a show that mocked Islam? Or perhaps was offensive to gays lesbians or trans? Is that what we want for our future? Probably better to address those issues than make a fool of yourself by lying about the obvious Real christians agree with him 100%. Even the pope says so. You can't get more real christian than the pope1 point

You cant understand why the captain would do that? I would have, if I were the captain. And it isn't because I believe transgender nonsense (I dont). I just wouldn't want to lose my career as a pilot.1 point

This is beyond disingenuous. The argument is that the unborn child is a human life, and thus the commandment to not kill applies to them as anyone else... These verses were provided to show the Biblical case for the unborn child being recognized as a human life.1 point

Ah yes. Whenever i want to know what kind of propaganda they are feeding the mindless, I look for posts like this. Does anyone believe that Biden thought this up? The dementia addled guy that had to step down is dreaming up stuff like this? Come one, man.1 point

She did not provide video to “back up her story.” She provided video of her telling her story. I have no idea if it is true, but if it is true that the entire thing happened simply because she called a woman “sir,” and then apologized once corrected… it’s ridiculous to ban her, and I can’t understand why the captain would.1 point

It was the Attorney General of the State of New York who got Trump convicted. Biden stayed out of the fracas and remained uninvolved, which is what a President should do. Biden’s AG appointed a special prosecutor to prosecute Donald Trump… and a Trump-appointed prosecutor was retained to investigate and prosecute Hunter Biden. We all know that there’s 0% chance that Donald Trump would keep any Biden Administration prosecutors employed if he came into power; at least, not any who had prosecuted Trump or his children. Trump is far too corrupt to permit that.1 point

How weak must a leader be to whine about how his opponent is "crooked" and should be "locked up", and then do nothing about it? At least Biden got Trump tried and convicted. Trump just cried about Hillary and was too weak a leader to do anything. Just like how he lost the election.1 point

If it were a Democrat being tried, you would be apoplectic that they're still free. "Lock them up!", you would say. Because it's Trump, all you can do is throw the entire justice system under the bus and pretend jury trials aren't fair. You're like spoiled children with no reasoning skills. 😂1 point

The point being that The National Enquirer conspired with Donald Trum and then made an illegal and unreported campaign contribution by paying a former Playboy model over $100,000 in return for not telling anyone about her affair with Donald Trump. And we know this because their publisher, David Pecker, stated all of this under oath.1 point

Sure. I would say that economic hardship is a general problem, making it unreasonable for people to be expected to get behind this. In other words, if we were flush we'd probably be more acceptable to paying for this.1 point

My idea is that any candidate, appointee etc in the democratic system has to affirm full and unconditional acceptance of its principles. Or face an expulsion, via due process. One cannot undermine the principles of the democracy, knowingly or otherwise, while claiming the right to manage it. Sure, as said citizens have the right to end their democracy any time they like. But there has to be a clear process for that, for example, a referendum. It cannot happen again, via boredom and/or drowning in loudmouth lies. That would be irrational and stupid.1 point

Yet i imagine you're the first foaming at the mouth when someone is misgendered Here's the thing. If you have no respect when it's someone else being offended, then you can't complain if nobody respects your concerns. This is a serious problem on the left - they cannot possibly understand HOOOOOWWWWW anyone could suggest that maybe the residential schools weren't THAT bad or maybe drug addicts share some of the responsiblity - yet they've got no problem mocking people's religious freedoms and dividing people. And they're too dumb to realize that the pushback for that kind of thing is trump. Or someone like him. People get fed up and look for the 'anti-woke' Ahh well. They aint' bright - but at least they're consistent1 point

Hm I can't get past the first four existentially disturbing words of the question. It's easy to think of someone else as a distant abstraction. But to imagine myself looking through those sad, beleaguered eyes. What thoughts would I think with his tortured, masturbatory nervous system.1 point

That's like the "60-pedestrian car crash" at Waukesha. Chrissy said it was teleprompter glass on this forum just a couple of days ago. The only footage that I'd be particularly interested in in video of how that guy got on the roofs with all the cops around there. It seems pretty far-fetched. If you saw a movie about an assassination attempt, and in the movie a shooter managed to get on that building, which was so close and basically the main thing worth worrying about there, you'd reject it as BS and stop watching. Secret Service Agent 1: "There's a bell tower right across the street. Do you think a sniper might go up in there to shoot at the president?" Secret Service Leader: "Nah. Probably not. It's too cliche. Just practice holstering your guns. Some of you suck at it."1 point

Well as a method of journalism, attempts at fact-checking are certainty not immune to bias and inaccuracy. But the idea of picking specific factual statements made and doing a deep dive on the veracity of those statements is extremely valuable in a media landscape that otherwise operates like an echo chamber of contrived narratives. As one would expect, politicans and political hobbyists whose entire schtick revolves around made-up non-factual talking points tend to be the ones who ridicule fact checking generally as a practice.1 point

Why is yhe piece of dogshlt a convicted felon? Right, it’s because he had sex with several porn stars. He got the national enquirer to pay off one and Trump paid off another, then he concealed those payments as legal business expenses, which they were not. That is illegal, which is why he is facing prison time when he’s sentenced in September. Like Donald says: Somebody who’s a criminal shouldn’t be allowed to run for President.1 point

The whole pretext of this story seems fishy. Like when in the boarding process does anyone have a natural opportunity to refer to a flight attendant's gender? Seems more likely to be a Karen situation. According to the airline she was trying to bring extra carry-ons including an entire car seat onto the plane. An argument occurred so it's possible mom was saying angry things at them. The captain himself said she was barred from the flight. They rescheduled her for the next one. Then she makes a dramatic woe is me video for her 20k Instagram followers.1 point

I personally don't think that politicians pretending to be in the fold of democratic system should be allowed to make openly statements threatening constitutional rights of the citizens. At the very least, he should be standing before the Congress explaining the meaning of his statements and how they can be understood by a reasonable, honest citizen. Most certainly citizens must have the right to end their democracy if that's what they like and think but it cannot happen by default through lies and loud mouth. Now, that would be stupid and irresponsible.1 point
