Doesn't firing 5 rounds of bullets into a school sort of send a different type of message than someone spray painting or busting a few windows? It's a pretty dumb question if you ask me.3 points

The article referenced below was translated to English over 2 years ago, but I still think it's one of the best articles to explain the immediate lead up to Russia's decision to intervene in the civil war in Ukraine that started 8 years before, back in 2014. I usually keep the title of an article intact in a thread, but there's been some pushback as to whether he was really a "Former NATO Military Analyst", so I decided it'd be better to simply title him a former Swiss Intelligence Officer. Alright, with that said, here is the article in question: https://scheerpost.com/2022/04/09/former-nato-military-analyst-blows-the-whistle-on-wests-ukraine-invasion-narrative/ I know some people are not keen on clicking on links, so I thought I'd quote some parts of his article. First, the introduction to his translated article: ** April 9, 2022 Jacques Baud, a NATO expert, denounces western coverage of the Ukraine invasion. By Jacques Baud / French Intelligence Research Center PART ONE: ON THE ROAD TO WAR For years, from Mali to Afghanistan, I worked for peace and risked my life for it. It is therefore not a question of justifying the war, but of understanding what led us to it. I note that the “experts” who take turns on the television sets analyze the situation based on dubious information, most often hypotheses turned into facts, and therefore we no longer manage to understand what is happening. That’s how you create panic. The problem is not so much who is right in this conflict, but how our leaders make their decisions. Let’s try to examine the roots of the conflict. It starts with those who for the past eight years have been talking to us about “separatists” or “independence” from the Donbass. It’s wrong. The referendums conducted by the two self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk in May 2014 were not ” independence ” (независимость) referendums , as some unscrupulous journalists claimed , but ” self-determination ” or ” autonomy (самостоятельность). The term “pro-Russian” suggests that Russia was a party to the conflict, which was not the case, and the term “Russian speakers” would have been more honest. Moreover, these referendums were conducted against the advice of Vladimir Putin. ** There is a -lot- more interesting information in this article. I'll include just 2 more paragraphs that's around halfway through his article where he writes about what was happening in Ukraine a week before Russia's intervention: ** In fact, as early as February 16, Joe Biden knows that the Ukrainians began to shell the civilian populations of Donbass, putting Vladimir Putin in front of a difficult choice: to help Donbass militarily and create an international problem or to sit idle and watch Russian speakers. from the Donbass being run over. If he decides to intervene, Vladimir Putin can invoke the international obligation of “ Responsibility To Protect ” (R2P). But he knows that whatever its nature or scale, the intervention will trigger a shower of sanctions. Therefore, whether its intervention is limited to the Donbass or whether it goes further to put pressure on the West for the status of Ukraine, the price to be paid will be the same. This is what he explains in his speech on February 21. **1 point

Ok granted. But that suggests myata is rather simple with his analysis. That the Ukraine war is actually "us verses them". It is not. Ah, on that we agree completely. I imagine it's the usual reasons: Money, power, things of that nature. It reminds me of a line the Oracle said in Matrix Reloaded: "What do all men with power want? More power." I'm not a fan of Trump, but I think there's plenty of merit in the fact that Biden's son and Biden, aka the "big guy" have profited from their connections in Ukraine and elsewhere.1 point

Here's an article from almost 2 years ago from Scheerpost, founded by award-winning journalist Robert Scheer: https://scheerpost.com/2022/08/31/were-being-trained-to-worry-about-russian-propaganda-while-drowning-in-us-propaganda/1 point

Lol...typical denial of Tweenkies who don't like being exposed as liars. I think it's possible that myata actually believes that it's "Russian bullshit", as they say, but I also think we can agree that they're just following the western mainstream script of discounting any narrative that goes against the western mainstream narrative.1 point

The jury did not follow the evidence. The Governor did the right thing. In Texas, individuals have the right to defend themselves from animals. Deadly force is authorized. Maybe that BLM animal should have thought twice before bringing a RIFLE to a felonious CAR JACKING.1 point

Yes, the people have to want peace and getting rid of the primary impediment to peace would have been a good first step... not electing it in the first place even better. Unfortunately that choice is off the table now, Israel will remove Hamas as an entity capable of inflicting further harm on them. Stopping short of that objective is to ensure there will be no peace. I believe that's how they see it and I tend to concur with their estimate of the situation. I get that people don't like it, but I don't see them leaving Hamas as a functioning entity. I don't see either side agreeing to that. Israel will never accept foreign meddling in its own defences and forcing western solutions on Islamic peoples hasn't proven to be the most excellent of options either. I'd love to read the proposed Status of Forces Agreement though. The trouble here is that Hamas has managed to turn an ethnic struggle over land into a religious event. Based on my experience there and IMO of course, that wasn't the issue prior to Hamas. It was about land and the legitimate grievances of the Palestinian people, which is a difficult enough thing to solve in and of itself. I haven't been there (Gaza area) post Hamas but all of it seems to have changed and not for the better. Turning this into a Jihad (and Hamas has worked hard at that) makes peace even more elusive and intervention more difficult than it was before. My goodness... scripturally so wrong (so deliberately self serving) that correction falls on deaf ears and coherent thought swallows its own tail. If you are going to put forward a brand new doctrine it should at least be consistent from one paragraph to the next. You have a lot of amendments to make and I suspect having them received as divinely inspired will prove significantly more challenging than the rewrite itself. Best of luck... On the other hand though, the forum has just promoted me to the rank of "collaborator." Might be a good time for me to be quiet eh?1 point

There is no "British Crown" in North American. It died in America in 1776, and Canada in 1953. https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/services/crown-canada/monarch.html You don't even seem to know what the commonwealth is. I can assure you it's not called "The British Commonwealth", as no such entity exists. I laugh at all the Brits I talk to who think we're still a British colony. The Brit imperialists are so smug and class-based, "Canadians" being of a lower class to them of course.1 point

Yeah not really how his dem brain filter works. As far as he's ocncerned you just posted the following articles: A Trump campaign official said the Texas swing brought in at least $15 million IN NEW FINES AND LAWSUITS Underreported fact: President @realDonaldTrump raised more in small dollar donations than Obama in 2012 BECAUSE HE"S A PICKPOCKET AND WORKED THE CROWD! And in April, for the first time, Trump also enjoyed the lead in monthly fundraising COMPARED TO HITLER. So he's fine.1 point

This is not remotely the story. The level of misinformation has crossed over into a lie. Read your article. The FBI agents were actually prohibited from using force--unless they were attacked, at which point they were permitted self defense. Surely you don't think that an ex-president is free to kill agents and they should be prohibited self defense? Surely, you're not THAT deep in the cult? Of course Trump will lie about it, but you should do better.1 point
-
There is always a need. It is basic SOP. If the FBI are going somewhere to effect a warrant, they operate from a standard SOP. Just because there are secret service there doesn't change this fact, and I am not even sure how many were there because Trump was not there at the time anyhow. If some staffer jumped on an FBI agent with a kitchen knife, they have use of force procedures as a matter of SOP. They don't just show up and presume that this time is the magical time where nothing could ever possibly go wrong.1 point

Oh, good now you're pretending that one cannot drive into a crowd without actually striking someone. Which is just silly. According to witnesses he nearly struck several people, including a protester in a wheelchair who wasn't able to move as quickly. You are not pointing out "facts." Nearly everything you've said about this incident has been false, and all in the service of excusing what, by all reasonable appearances, was a deliberate act. Perry fantasized about it, researched it, looked for the opportunity, and finally made it happen in the exact manner he described. You want to throw stones about "lawlessness" being the cause, blaming protesters, when Perry was lawless at every step, running the red light, texting while driving (by his telling), driving into a crowd of pedestrians, and ultimately escalating to an illegal shooting. Your "facts" are fictions woven to defend the indefensible.1 point

It's sad what's happened to that city, but it's only going to keep getting worse. They live crammed in like sardines. That mayor is pathetic to say the least. Diversity doesn't seem to be London's strength.1 point

Yeah, they had a warrant and executed that warrant. None of that was any kind of attempt to kill or shoot Trump or as you claimed "ordering a hit" Give me a break. That is nonsense. No one was authorized to murder anyone, let alone a political leader or Trump.1 point

I think it's increasingly clear that any UN body controlled by the General Assembly is apt to be corrupt due to the GA being made up of mostly dictatorship countries. Harper was criticized for wanting to defund and leave parts of the UN. Looks like he was right. We owe him an apology on that. John McCain wanted to create a League of Democracies. I still agree with this.1 point

Of course they know what is going to happen if Trump gets back in the White House, get ready for raids, terminations, supoenas and indictments. Don't worry Dems, he will make sure its fair, we will make sure to make all the cases happen in only the most red areas in with judges who donated to Trump with kids who work for Republicans. Just to be fair and even and treat the Democrat criminal defendents with same fairness and respect that you showed Trump. When the riots inevitably happen we will leave no stone unturned and keep them all jail for years without trial for the most trivial of charges for their insurrection.1 point

The FBI is authorized to shoot anyone as a matter of policy. This is such a dumb phony thing to be outraged over. If Trump picked up a knife and tried to stab an FBI agent... *GASP* they are authorized to shoot him. Duh. Any execution of a search warrant includes this language as a matter of SOP. They knew Trump was not there anyhow and they executed the search warrant when he was not there. This notion that they were somehow sent to shoot Trump is just nonsense. There was no hit ordered on Trump. That is an outright fiction.1 point

Not a single witness said that Foster raised the gun. A vivid imagination is not a license to kill. Hence, Perry was convicted. Twelve Texans--Texans FFS--rejected his utterly absurd self defense claim and recognized that he was guilty beyond even a reasonable doubt. No doubt. But you will defend the indefensible because the murderer shot a protester with whom you have political differences.1 point

You don't reward a terrorist massacre and ongoing hostage crisis with calls for statehood. This only incentivizes that activity. Nor do you ever give statehood to a government bent on Israel's destruction. Has nothing been learned from Israel's deoccupation and elections in Gaza in 2005? Calls for restraint in Rafah are fine.1 point

Great, you quoted the exact same line I quoted on page 1 in response to your false claim that Foster was aiming at Perry. This is like a treadmill. So, in summary, even Perry admits Foster wasn't aiming at him. Foster simply had a rifle on a sling. Which is not just cause to shoot someone. Hence, why Perry was convicted. Well, that and the substantial evidence that Perry planned the murder. I do find it funny that you are arguing that it's justified to shoot anyone who is open carrying.1 point
