  2. you might as well call the Mellenials the Replicants because they are indeed a sub class which we are using to prop our assets up and Canada didn't even birth enough Millennials to pull it off so now Canada is importing immigrants to do it, bypassing the Millennials with an endless supply of imports Boomers & Gen X are the over class Millennials & Zoomers are the under class we drive our Tesla's out of two car garages in fully detached homes while they take the bus from their basement apartments to serve us at the drive through the younger generations have no purpose in life, other than being menial servants and if they so much as step out of line in the slightest, the militarized police state will crack down upon them the young are not free by the standards we were raised under

  3. The greenhouse effect has nothing to do with politics. It is chemistry and physics. Belief is irrelevant. The process of how greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and water vapour affect the re-radiation of energy is a scientific fact. You can test it in any undergraduate lab and the results are measureable and predictable. The planet is heating up faster than the normal natural processes can adapt. How we respond to the rapid heating of the planet is politics.

  4. There are plenty of geopolitical reasons to support Ukraine, but the core interest is that it's a free people fighting for survival against an aggressive dictator to remain free people. There aren't many more noble causes. As Republicans used to believe, freedom isn't free. Self determination is something to be cherished, rather than taken for granted. It must be protected from enemies foreign and domestic (ahem!). And that's a burden that all like-minded people can share Every Western democracy in the world exists because another another nation supported their fight to be free. Ukraine deserves the same, not out of cynical self interest, but simply because it's the right thing to do.

  6. because this is not even a government anymore this is a cultural revolution seeking to overthrow the very foundations of our civilization straight out of Maoist China the Chinese Communist Party in Beijing awaits the self inflicted overthrow of the Dominion prepared to colonize the wilderness which comes in the wake rage, rage, against the dying of the light ~ Dylan Thomas

  7. I don't see that as being a bad thing since the alternative was not peace, but rather direct confrontation on the central front moreover, our side was fighting in defence of civilization itself, while their side was fighting for totalitarianism to wit, as badly executed as the Vietnam War was it was still a noble cause, South Vietnam may have been filthy but it was filthy & free in a classical liberal sense

  8. but we did not destroy the Russian Empire the Russian Empire was cousin to the British Empire Communism destroyed the Russian Empire we couldn't save the Soviets from themselves we can't save the Russian mafia state from itself and they are armed with over 6,000 thermonuclear warheads so we cannot afford to be naive, trying to appease the Kremlin run amok by its own ludicrous conspiracy theories the KGB is not a rational actor when the Kremlin is employing the Soviet strategic doomsday arsenal to impose nuclear blackmail we are forced to man the Trace once again in the face of it

  9. but the status quo is exponentially unfair beyond mere happenstance when we were young, everyone said " future generations will suffer the consequences of the debt " well the fact is, that future is now the future consequences have arrived what are the consequences ? we the older generations are holding all the assets the younger generations are being forced to pay the debt ; by way of inflating the money supply this is inciting a generational class war which the vested establishment is trying to deflect, by making it into a race war welcome to the dystopic future which we predicted would come to pass, decades ago

  10. So under those assumptions, which I think are quite astute, extremism is mostly a result of power imbalances or perceived power imbalances and desperate attempts among those who feel disempowered to assert dominance. I’d add that we don’t have as many ways to make people feel heard and part of the community as we used to. I always cite Fulford’s Bowling Alone. There used to be many social clubs and community events. It was harder to feel isolated. The internet tends to tribalize people into separate camps as the algorithms feed people’s particular beliefs rather than challenge them. Also, anonymity prevents us from seeing ourselves and others as real people with feelings and frailties. There are certain unresolved difficulties that most people face: Not everyone can win. Not everyone has equal levels of talent, strength or beauty, or is born into the same level of privilege or circumstances. Generally people lean on their particular strengths and over time those who are consistently effective in an area are recognized as such, but equality is elusive and the world is unfair. I think if conditions reach a boiling point for someone who is unstable or deeply frustrated, it can erupt into evil acts. The problem of evil is something we must deal with, which is why we have incarceration. I’m not sure it’s entirely solvable because it’s present wherever people exist.

  11. but that was ultimately all incited by the collapse of the German monarchy Imperial Germany had the highest standards of living in Europe and so the world Imperial Germany instituted the world's first welfare state Imperial Germany was happy, confident, prosperous & unified when the war destroyed the monarchy, there was no alternate German system of governance the Wiemar Republic was chaos and when the money printing to pay for the war incited hyperinflation there was a complete breakdown of civil order German society simply divided into two militarized factions German history and system of governance was effectively erased, practically overnight the NSDAP simply filled the void left in the wake

  12. These occurences are pretty rare in Canada. When an attack against members of a particular faith community occurs, other communities rally around the victims. I recall when a Synagogue was spray painted with anti-semetic symbols, the local Islamic and Christian communities helped clean it up. That was just one of many instances that come to mind. Among the religious organizastions in Canada, there is far more unity than disunity. Our problem is a small group of mostly men, who feel ignored and isolated in society and who think hurting innocent people will get them the attention they crave. I mentioned Nazis after the war were found to be mentally normal, but another revelation of the studies was that many had one common trait. Banality. These were people who were non-entities in society and the NSDAP gave them a vehicle to become "important." Your local SA-Fuhrer may have been a junior bank clerk in his day job, but nobody messed with him.

  13. I don't expect this will be the case you only have to look at the Conservatives in Ontario there has been no curtailing of massive government intervention across the board the Conservatives simply intervene on behalf of their own overbearing faction of entrenched interests take for example the "housing crisis" the Liberal & Conservative solutions are practically the same it's just a question of which party is going to massively intervene in the free market after decades of government intervention there is what has caused the problem in the fist place

  14. I would suggest that the origin is that the general population no longer upholds its own system of governance Canadians have ceased to uphold Constitutional Monarchy & Westminster Parliamentary Supremacy mechanisms which would constrain government from becoming an out of control leviathan are no longer in use but Canadians don't actually have an alternate system of governance so the result is no governance at all, rather just an ideological free for all with no constraints whatsoever

  19. Not all cults have a centralized leader. But - if you prefer the question to be 'which party are religious zealots', then it's definitely the dems. They're all about hating the non believer. They're all about repressing other people. Their ideology is without a doubt considered dogmatic and inflexible - you believe or you are excommunicated. If the leaders of the spanish inquisition were alive today and living in north america - they would be democrats.

  25. Ahhh - i see you too purchased the "MY ENTIRE PLAN FOR CANADA BY JUSTIN TRUDEAU" in hardcover. Peirre has an ability to make things a little more fun and still keep them serious in the end. Justin comes across as fake and staged and dishonest. Cna't even answer the question. This is why PP is doing well and justin is sinking. His avoiding the question just isn't going to cut it anymore.

  30. Please. If we're going to go down that road it started about 3000 years ago. Europe and asia have had back to back to back wars and armed conflicts big and small pretty much continually for that time. It's been going on since the first person figured out if they wack the other person over the head with a rock they could take what they had. There was a great line, can't remember where from: "Peace is a theoretical condition whose existence we postulate because there's occasionally gaps between wars"

  31. This guy is mentally ill. His views aren’t even consistent with one another. Muslims tend to be socially conservative. I wouldn’t ascribe larger meaning to this evil act except to say that we’ve lost our sense of community and trust, leading to social breakdown. I also think our mental health support is weak. Our government response to mental health today is to offer assisted suicide. Our response to drug addiction is to give addicts free drugs. These are the ingredients for social breakdown.

  32. LMAO Bullshit. The right wing wasn’t a bunch of kind souls signing kumbaya until they got beat beat up by some mean old liberals. The nonsense this murderer was spouting about “groomers”, MSM media, Muslims and more is the same nonsense the right wingers have been posting in here here daily for the last 20 years. The far right was acting deplorable long before anyone called them “Deplorables”. The “Us vs them” narrative is the fuel that drives conservatives. They have no positive values whatsoever. Everything they believe in is about opposing liberals, immigrants, trannies etc. if all the groups of people conservatives hate were to suddenly disappear tomorrow, conservatives would be standing around confused with nothing to do ”We’re going to work with Muslims to bring you and your Jewish friends down”?. What am absolute lie you just made up. LMAO The right wing has been ratcheting up its invective, hyperbole, vulgarity and extreme conspiracies for at least a decade going back to the moment that a black man was elected president. Right wing Crackpots like Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh moved from the party sidelines to the mainstream The right started the culture war. The left doesn’t “change” culture, nobody can control culture. Culture naturally changes its own and them conservatives who by definition oppose culture change react by attacking anyone and everyone as being part of some communist plot. The left reacts o that with excessive virtue-signalling. That’s the culture war in a nutshell. The right has warned over and over again that their behaviour would lead crazies from their fringe to commit acts of violence and once again it is proven correct.

  33. At least Republicans have some good qualities and care about the country. Democrats are the most intolerant people ever. If you disagree with them on anything you're a fascist or racist. Why do people still vote Democrat? We can make the Republican Party better if their were more Democrat defectors. There are hundreds of millions of Republicans in the country, not all of them are radical Trump supporters. If more people joined the Republican Party, it could mellow out the fringe radicals. Just a thought.

  34. Republicans- - Some support Trump. There are literally millions of Republicans and not all of them support Trump. - Don't have radical ideas. Deporting illegal immigrants has always been the law, think abortion should be a state's issue, want to reduce your taxes to make your living more affordable. Democrats- - Deporting illegal immigrants is racist - All Republicans are Trump supporters who are against Democracy - Republicans only care big businesses and rich people - Hate the 2nd Amendment and think white people don't have the right to defend and arm themselves but it's okay for black or anonymous people hiding behind masks to arm themselves - Support BLM despite its history of violence and if you're against BLM or race riots you're racist - Hate and disrespect our police officers who deserve respect like all service members - If you think people should have to wait a certain age to have life altering surgeries performed on them you are transphobic and encourage violence against LGBTQ people - All support radical, extreme people like Bernie Sanders and AOC who hate capitalism and want the US to be like Norway or Sweden. So, what cult would you rather be a part of?

  35. The OP is comically confused about platforms and values, but there isn't even a question about which party is a cult. Parties are formed around a set of common beliefs. Cults are most often formed around one personality. And in America 2023, one party has decided that they will follow one man beyond and set of values, even to the death of democracy and the republic. Sadly, that's not an exaggeration. It should be unthinkable that in the United States of America, a man who attempted to defy the will of the electorate and stage an illegal coup to retain power could ever be the nominee from one of the two major political parties, but that is indeed how far they've fallen.
