nobody trusts the lunatics of the NDP hence why they've never won an election and never will they best they can do is be lick spittle toadies for Justin Trudeau pathetic2 points

enough of the traffic analogy it is not applicable to this situation if you think people should be fired for running a red light when it's obvious there is no one around your opinion should be dismissed as stupid on the face of it you just want to punish people who makes choices that you wouldn't make and are choices you don't like2 points

Your comment equating safer and easier isn't exactly correct. I use the same reasoning as my Mom did, a 1948 nursing grad about abortion. People have already made that personal decision (abortion/doing drugs), I do not agree with them at all, but acting to make it safe is the only proper thing to do.2 points

What COVID vaccine does is prevent people from dying and spreading disease. I'm pretty sure the experts have determined that without vaccine and other measures that levels of sickness and death would be much much higher. I think you must live in some fantasy la la land where you expect experts, governments and of course vaccines to be like you, 100% infallibly correct 100% of the time. As for whatever else your senses may be telling you I'm quite convinced its the ridiculously warped sense you have that you live in a totalitarian state that's set the tone for everything else. It's no wonder you can't think straight about anything else. As for Trudeau coming down with COVID again I suspect he probably comes into contact with as many different people in the course of a day as many of us do in a whole month so, go figure.2 points

that being said Alberta, who was she ? Princess Louisa Caroline Alberta sixth child and fourth daughter of Queen Victoria & Prince Albert child of Saxe, Coburg & Gotha, born at Buckingham Palace literally named after her German Belgian father so you can't get more British than Alberta Alberta is the very essence of a Scots German Empire to find a Northwest Passage1 point

And therein is the crux of the matter. The CDC literally re-wrote the definition of “vaccine” because the one they had used for decades clearly did not apply to these products. (Many new FOIA revelations on how this was a direct response to getting caught not adhering to their own standards. See here: Emails Confirm Why CDC Changed Definitions of Vaccine, Vaccinated (theepochtimes.com) This would be like OSHA redefining a backwards baseball cap as a construction helmet because MLB asked them to. and now they are circumventing doctors to allow paxlovid to be dispensed without a prescription (which they wouldn't allow with Ivermectin or HCQ) despite dodgy efficacy, serious problems, and numerous drug interactions. This crony corporatism has nothing to do with public health and everything to do with private profits. The fix is in and they are pulling out all the stops in what is looking more and more like a late stage "smash and grab" before the music stops. The media, which Big Pharma buys so much advertising in, is pedal to the metal on new “scariants” and pretty-wrapper papering side effects under unending declarations of “everything on earth except vaccines causes blood clots and heart failure.” Except the vaccines. Of course. Odd how it’s never “eat right, get some vitamin D, zinc, vitamin C, lose some weight, watch your blood sugar, stay hydrated, etc.” Public health never seem interested in teaching you how to be healthy, only in getting your repeat business to their corporate sponsors. Tired of this joke yet? Because they're not.1 point

in the grand scheme of things by the arc of human history we live in the most prosperous society that ever was now, the Liberal elites do rule Canadians are their serfs but that's because the Liberals are the ones who erased your history, replacing it with their party dogma when you reject that you are a British North American, you thusly succumb to the Liberal Post National State I don't buy it myself, I see the Liberals as Americanized republican usurpers but that's probably because I am ethnically British, an Ulster Scot descendant of the Covenanters I don't need the Liberals to fabricate a fake country for me, as I am steeped in the story of my people, I know where I come from, I know why I am here1 point

Let's start with 9/11. What makes you want to 'J'accuse' conservatives for that one? Do you not remember flaming leftist Rosie O' Donnel's loud argument with the token conservative on morning far left trash TV loudly proclaiming 'STEEL DOESN'T MELT!' ? You do remember it was a Republican in office during 9/11 and not a Democrat, don't you? Wouldn't it kind of conflict with your stereotypes of conservatives as Islamophobes to say all of a sudden Conservatives prefer a theory where a Republican administration is the bad guy over a pack of Islamo-fascist terrorists? You may be confusing Conservatives with Libertarians there but you still can't be forgiven for that lie because it wasn't just them, it was the unequivocal left pushing 9/11 conspiracies. Also their Islamo-fascist buddies. Some of your other examples though, are possibly examples of rational Conservatives not ignoring the obvious. The existence of what some call "the swamp" or what you call "the deep state" maneuvering behind the scenes, for example. You can feel free to sue me on that one. I'll believe my lying eyes. That exists. Now shall we talk Russiagate or 10 to 20 more leftist conspiracy theories I can think of off the top of my head?1 point

Sure it is for myself, it will keep me out of hospital. But a fortunate side effect of me not being in hospital is the pressure I don't put on the health care system and the impact that has on others who really need it. That isn't virtue signalling, it is simple reality.1 point
-
getting vaccinated is for the benefit of yourself you just want to be seen as selfless for being selfish and want to punish those who don't virtue signal in the same way the health care system sucking is not an excuse to blame the unvaccinated1 point
-
I definitely think people who refuse to get with the program should face consequences. Punish is too strong a word for all that's happening though. As I said there are plenty of jobs to be had, just choose one that doesn't require a vaccination. You could also create your own job, roll up your sleeves, sharpen your pencils...you know, all the things you people like to advise when someone finds themselves in an employment pickle. What, you figure the world owes you something?1 point
-
it's not for everyone's benefit it's for their own benefit vaccinated people still get and spread covid just like unvaccinated people it's not about everyone else everyone else can choose to get vaccinated or not too nothing about you getting a covid vax makes me safer nothing about me getting a covid vax makes you safer it's not that kind of vaccine the unvaccinated are no more of a threat to the vaccinated than the vaccinated are to the vaccinated yet you still want people fired over not getting vaccinated1 point

it has nothing to do with everyone's safety just their own it is just all about them your traffic analogy does not apply1 point

the people freaking out about this are obviously idiot Millennials they were not in the Cold War, they don't understand the nature of these confrontations the Russians are not our "enemy" until they cross the NATO Article V line until then, the Russians are simply our "adversary" that doesn't mean you can't do any business with them in the Cold War we had Detente with them we even bought their grain so they could have US Dollars whatever, our mission here is to defeat them on a long view, without having to fight World War Three1 point

On April 16th I awakened in the morning fairly certain I’d had a stroke in the night. A Cat-scan later proved me correct. Upon arrival and being registered at ER, I didn’t actually see anyone for 5.5 hours. I didn’t see a doctor for 6.5 hours. Canada doesn’t have “universal” health care but rationed health care.1 point

I wish Europe the best and hope they’re prepared to weather the storm coming their way. Sanctions have certainly hurt Russia but not to the point of crippling them into defeat. Their economy was grossly underestimated. Unlike some countries’ economies that are service-based and heavily rely on financial speculation, Russia’s economy is commodity and product based, they have stuff the world wants and needs. This will enable them to deal with sanctions for a long time – possibly years. Especially, because most countries haven’t joined in imposing sanctions. Also, Europe must consider that if Republicans win 2024 (as they most certainly will) and if Trump becomes president, funding for NATO and foreign aid to Ukraine will stop. Many Americans are furious with Biden’s magnanimous approach. How much has he given to Ukraine $54B – $60B? All this while the American people are hurting and with no checks and balances attached to the “gifts”. Its been reported by the Financial Times that Ukrainian oligarchs are smuggling weapons and of money gone missing – nothing new, this also happened in Iraq. On a related note, the Euro is now on par with the USD for the first time in 20 years.1 point

Huh...and you figure those who will find themselves in positions of power, once this great utopia is achieved, will not carve out a "special" class for themselves? Communism is nothing more than a camouflaged term meaning "dictatorship".1 point

it's not reasonable because it shouldn't be a condition of employment particularly when it's the government forcing employers to adhere to that mandate if people want to get vaccinated or don't want to neither choice should result in the termination of employment whether you like their choice or not isn't relevant1 point

myata...I understand your position on this while I must also acknowledge the irony of it all. Germany will freeze and not be able to power their nation, without those turbines driving the oil and gas to them. Our "ally" needs that fossil fuel. And why? Well that's simple. They went down that green garden path...and fucked up. In the mean time, the USA and Canada have reduced fossil fuel output. In short... They got what they paid for. Little kids being blown to bits in a war, is nasty stuff. Hell it even upsets me. But not enough for me to deny reality. And the reality of this whole situation right now...is fucking self-imposed.1 point

I just brought the Trudeau Hatemongering thread back up to the top. It's full of examples of you supporting Trudeau's hatemongering against unvaccinated people, and pretending that there actually were swastikas and confederate flags everywhere at the Freedom Convoy.1 point

Well if you'd actually listen to him the chances of being hospitalized if you are young is very low. As we said.. so now even the government docs are conspiracy theorists I guess. Take the L1 point

Lol now the Ontario top doc is saying what got Dr. Christian canned just a year ago about vaccines for young people and what got me dubbed a conspiracy theorist by leftist nut bars... unlikely to be hospitalized, could end up with myocardis, a risk/reward analysis.1 point

What planet are you on? There are two cross-Canada networks: Bell and Rogers. All the other companies use their infrastructure. It’s fake competition. Let all the international players in. Our cell data charges are among the highest in the world. Bell and Rogers don’t need government protection. They own us.1 point
